Dealing with Si's was a great experience. Our Audi had some fairly minor damage due to an RV driver that misjudged his turning radius and took the paint off the rear bumper of our car. He wanted to pay for it himself and I agreed (although I did get his insurance info also). I took the car three high rated repair shops, including Si's. I had very favorable opinions of all of them. Even though they all use software programs, Si's came in substantially less than the others (different program). I verified that they could do it for this, with the same caveat that all of them had; the Audi bumper sensors may need to be re-calibrated, at a several hundred dollar additional amount. I let the guy paying for it review the quotes and he agreed to go with Si's. He was also informed about the possibility of additional charges. The other driver took a check by and I took the car in to be repaired. It was determined that the sensors needed to be re-calibrated. The other driver balked at this and didn't want to pay. Si's was great. No pressure on me. They told me work out what I needed to and they'll wait to hear back. The other driver did agree to pay and took the money by and I got the car back very soon after. The work was perfect. There is no way to see where the paint was damaged and the sensors all worked great. I cannot recommend Si's high enough for working through the issues and doing perfect work. After my dad accidentally backed into my driver side door, I needed to have my door replaced. After hoping it was just a cosmetic issue, Kraig informed me that it was truly a safety issue, and explained that without repair, a front-on collision could cause the door to fracture into me in the driver seat. It was an easy decision to suck it up and take the insurance hit. While their quote was higher than the other I had gotten, their reviews blew the other shop out of the park. I was glad my insurance company allowed me to choose my own shop. Kraig was patient with me, having never been in an accident, and never having to make an insurance claim. He worked closely with my insurance company to make the whole process seamless. I dropped off the car and was able to get a free loaner car from the shop. This was a HUGE help! The duration they needed my car was quoted longer than the other shop, but they got my car back to me well before the overestimate. In addition to fixing the issues, the car was provided to me cleaner than it was when I dropped it off and they gave me chocolate . From the minute I walked into Si's..Brenna greeted me and blew me away with her level of customer service and her ability to explain things. Typically with shops like this you're greeted by a "gorilla type" attitude and made to feel like an idiot. Not here! I explained my situation and Brenna went right into the process, what I could expect, and was able to explain what parts and replacements and why immediately and I NEVER felt forced or like I was being manipulated to buy or pay for anything I didn't need. Then out came "Dad".. Kraig. Here's a guy who is still trying his best to provide good service, good results, and at a fair price. We had a little issue with our newish car. It was my bad. My garage was suddenly a bit smaller than before so it bumped into the side of the car just a wee bit to cause a little paint from off the garage. Not the car at least. Called them and they said come on by and let's have a look. He took a look and said go get lunch and we can probably take care of this right now. He's a very amiable person and always seems to be so helpful. Got back from our lunch and viola! The marks disappeared and only cost a million dollars!! Well that's what he said but we knew better. My BRAND NEW 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 with only 1200 miles on it was hit while parked in my driveway by a neighbor. You cannot make this stuff up!! Due to family reasons that I won't disclose, there was a tremendous urgency to have it repaired ASAP. I explained our situation to Brenna and they took it as their mission to get it done!! Wonderful place. I received a detailed estimate, and when things needed to be changed, I was given clear and convincing explanations, for example, parts going up a few dollars. During the deconstruction of my vehicle, the shop discovered some problems, which were not apparent originally, including needing new engine covers underneath the car. I knew that was probably legitimate because of my problems and driving back roads in a low car. when I left the shop gave me a bag of Lindt chocolate. They repaired a scratch on the door that was so deep it dented the panel. The paint was meticulously blended so it looks like new. They were realistic about timing and delivered ahead of schedule and under budget. Before I found Si's, I got a quote from a bigger shop. Those guys didn't listen, and when I had follow-up questions I got a canned answer. The quote was outrageously high. It was the complete opposite experience talking to Kraig. This place used to be a 5 star place but it's definitely a 1 star place now. Last summer I had some work done on my car, the paint had wrinkles in it they missed a bunch of dents, the car came back not aligned, door whistled, and no more loaner. In then end it never fully got fixed and I wasted hours of my time dealing with the shop and insurance, who just kept pointing fingers at each other and no fixing my car even though it was the body shop and the aliment shop they use in the end that did a half ass job. read more

That's pretty much how it happened, I was on 4th and Oak and out of nowhere this massive dump truck plows right into me, I tried honking but that didn't make a difference. The great news, I wasn't hurt. The bad, my driver's door was toast. Time to look for an auto body shop that I could trust to do great work and would communicate with me and the Insurance company of the driver at fault. I remember talking to my mechanic about a body shop and he mentioned Si's on NE Glisan, so I consulted with my research dept (YELP) that's when I read some great reviews by trusted Yelpers, so there I went. Kraig, I think he is the owner, was so very professional, sympathetic and transparent all the way through. My car was in his shop for 5 business days and now, it looks great ! He made sure to put new factory parts and fanned out the paint so that it would look uniform. I was so impressed with Kraig and his crew, I'm looking forward to my next fender bender..just kidding. Great customer service in a time when it's hard to find. They did some repair work to my Jetta and over a year later I noticed a piece of trim that was coming off. I'm not even sure it was related to the original repair but I took it by and spoke with Craig about it. He ordered a part that would come in the next day. I decided to leave it with him and was going to Uber home. But no, he loaned me a car. Next day I picked up the car and the trim was replaced but they also buffed out a key pinstripe. How much? It doesn't get any better than Si's Auto Body! The weather stripping/molding on my driver's door began to fray, so I became concerned about water seeping an damaging the inner workings and possibly even the motor for the window. I checked with an a local auto parts store and with my regular mechanic. One solution would be to order the part from the auto parts store and have my mechanic install it. I never heard back from the flakey guy at the auto parts store who was going to order the part, and it really isn't the kind of thing that my mechanic does so I decided to go to Si's Auto Body that is just about a mile from my home. Their receptionist is awesome! Her phone call with another customer showed me that she is professional, friendly and assistive which I find rare these days. She promptly acknowledged me, and then greeted and assisted me as soon as she ended her call. She fully explained the process, letting me know this would be a quick task that I could come in for over my lunch hour. She ordered the part and called me a day later to let me know that the part was in and that I could stop by anytime. Today I drove to their location, and the whole process only took about 15 minutes! After he was finished installing the molding, the technician came into the waiting room and asked if I had any questions. He also answered a couple of my questions about two other concerns about my vehicle. One was a quick fix that I could do on my own, and he carefully explained the steps for that. The other had to do with a potential window motor and/or regulator issue. for that, he explained how they work and that it is really something to just keep an eye on for now. I might also add that while I was in their waiting room, I had a wonderful conversation with another customer and the brief time that I was there, flew by. When I left I was extremely satisfied with I had a strong sense of confidence in Si's. That was the complete opposite of an experience I had with another local body shop a few years ago. From my first contact with Brenna when I took my Sonata in for an estimate, all of the way through to when I picked it up finished, they provided me with great communication about where they were in the process. Craig called me a few days before I was to drop it off for them to begin the work and let me know that they were ordering the necessary parts for the repair. Craig even arranged to have my windshield replaced while it was in their shop (it wasn't part of the repair, but he arranged it all and had it completed while in for the work). My car had a tiny fender bender where I was not at fault. I went to get an estimate and told Kraig about the situation. When I told him which insurance company that the claim was going to go through, he walked me though exactly what to expect with the process. By the way, don't let the aesthetics of the office scare you away. It's not about how fancy their office is; it's much more about how they do business when it comes to your car. Their estimate was fair and the rest was handled by Si's Auto Body and the insurance company. They were booked out a couple weeks but since my car was driveable, I did not mind the wait. My friend was hit by another car the night before Thanksgiving. The car was badly damaged and she was extremely shaken up. She called from the crash site wanting to know where to tow it. Not being from Portland, I immediately turned to Yelp. My big concern was that it was 5PM right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Based on positive Yelp reviews, I called Kraig to see if they were still open. I caught him as he was walking out the door. His first question? "Is your friend, OK?" So nice. Then he'd promised that he'd stay as long as it took to tow the car in. That's a lot to ask for at 5PM before a holiday weekend. Well, he couldn't have been nicer. We towed the car there and he worked with the insurance company to do all of the repairs. He communicated with my friend every step of the way. He even gave her a discount on the repairs. The quality of the repairs was amazing - it looks like new. AND when I picked the car up, he left a gift basket of chocolates in the car. Excellent experience with Si's! They were very friendly and they gave us a detailed explanation of what needed to be done. They explained factors that could make the actual bill more than the quoted price however when the work was done it ended up being exactly the price what was quoted. They provided a nice loaner vehicle (nothing fancy but a decent car that met our needs.) When my wife picked the car up they showed her photos of different phases of the repair. Very cool! The work was done on time and on budget and we were thrilled with the quality of the work! They are a small family owned shop and they take pride in their workmanship and customer service.
