Convenient location with fast and friendly service makes this a perfect takeout option! Favorites: Any of the noodles dishes are good and generously portioned, but for something different try the Pad Woon Sen - delicate glass noodles with lots of fresh veggies. This is sort of a reincarnation of the old Sister Kitchen Thai Food restaurant in the form of a food truck. This location is better for those coming off of Oak Park Blvd. since it is diagonal opposite one of the very few Wells Fargo Banks in SLO County. The smell of good Thai food wafts thru the air as one reviews the menu. While not as extensive as a full restaurant, it is clearly authentic. There is even a small area to eat near the truck in the back which is next to their catering office. This definitely a great option for days that some other places are closed, namely Mon, Tues, and Weds.. The costs are very reasonable for the SLO area & the service is friendly. read more

While driving down West Grand in Grover Beach I spotted the sister kitchen Thai food truck parked right on the corner and decided to stop- The weather was perfect for a curry, so I chose the Green curry with shrimp and a side of dumplings. The smell coming from this little green stand was amazing! The young lady at the window was polite and friendly - The green curry at first taste was OMG what spectacular flavor, then BAM the spice of the curry was spicy delicious! I was instantly in love! The best curry I have had in such a long time packed with delicious vegetables and plump delicious shrimp- The dumplings were fantastic! packed with flavor and the outside dough was not thick or gummy but rather light and delicate- I will most definitely be back to try more of their menu items!! Yum yum yum! I am so happy that Sister Kitchen opened their food truck and I wish I had realized it sooner! I was so sad when I learned their brick-and-mortar store closed during COVID. Sister Kitchen had been the best Thai food I found in the area since moving from the Bay Area in 2019. I live in Santa Maria/Orcutt and work here too, I just wish I lived closer and could get this more often! Their fried spring rolls are a guilty pleasure, must have. And their pad Thai with tofu is delicious! They have specials up on a chalkboard sign and a classic, well stocked menu. Wow what a pleasant surprise! This place has some of the best Thai food dishes I've had. I tried the stir fry eggplant with beef and it was amazingly delicious with very generous portion, rice included. I also got the fried shrimp roll which came with a tasty dipping sauce. This is my first time at the food truck. I loved sister kitchen when they had the restaurant location. They have more veggies than many other Thai restaurants. The hours are a bit hard because they change weekly so this isn't a place that you just stop by if you don't live nearby. If you like the food follow them on instagram where they post the location, days and hours that they will be open. For the food, I'm super happy with the portion size!!! When I picked up the bag I was surprised at the weight. This is the largest portion for the $15 on the central coast that I have tried and the flavors are awesome! There was no line and it took about 10 minutes for them to make my order of pad kee mao and jasmine rice. I'm not an easy five star guy because normally there's something that I would suggest improving on... this is a definite five star from me! I'm very satisfied. (Beware of spice! Tried this place for the first time today after stopping by the plant shop next door. I got a couple of the chicken skewers and the spring rolls. Everything was very good, I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. Price wise it's about average (everything is so expensive these days) but the ingredients were all so fresh that for once it felt worth it.
