I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans along with the Burratta salad. It was so good that I was half way done when I remembered to take pictures!! The salmon was in a lemon caper sauce that was light and not salty. Salmon flaked as I dug in with my fork and was oh so tender and also not overly salty. Ate every green bean and for me that is saying something because I'm not a veggie person. Even ate the capers. I wanted to switch the potatoes for salad which they had graciously agreed to do BUT it would have been a small side salad with field greens which I cannot eat. The Burratta was delicious and filled with beets and citrus wedges along with the cheese. Loved it. My friend had the chicken sandwich and said it was one of the best she had and was moist and crispy all at the same time. Our third friend loved her burger and didnt talk much!! We got food poisoning here. I let the waiter know that the hurrays didn't taste right and he basically gaslit me. The next two days we were both sick. I wrote sisters on IG (their website isn't really functioning) after more than a week someone wrote back apologizing that they'd get a manager to respond who never did. Great restaurant if to eat at if you like all the above scenario and two days near the toilet... otherwise I'd stay clear plenty of other options in the neighborhood. read more

Last Wednesday (Juneteenth), Pana did not communicate well that Sisters were out of fish after I ordered the Fried Fish Sandwich. In turn, she gave me the fried chicken sandwich. Mind you, I don't eat meat. So, I ordered another dish and I had to wait and watch my sister finish her meal. Granted, I do usually just sit at the bar and only get one item: kale Caesar salad (which is sooo good) I love the set up, but also the quantity is just gigantic! I have gotten it through food delivery a few times and it's not the same volume. So if you're craving some salad, I'd recommend just going in. Good brunch spot! Visited Sisters for a brunch date and it was a nice experience. The front isn't too large but they also use the outdoor patio so that made for more space. The food, the staff, and the ambiance was great but the brunch menu is limited for people who have gluten allergies and don't eat pork. I wish there were more options. I've been coming here for brunch since 2017, and I've never been let down. Their savory french toast is my favorite dish to order. I typically get a side of fries, which is enough for 2 - 3 people to share. More recently, I tried their egg sandwich, and that was incredible as well. You can easily tell that their food is made with high-quality ingredients. I love everything about the ambience: natural skylight, live plants, and the grand shelf behind the bar. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. It's usually full during brunch hours, so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Otherwise, you might be waiting for a while to be seated. Me and my best friend arrive around 6:30pm to this restaurant. We had no reservations, but was told to go to the section in the back and sit at the bar. When we got to the bar, they were no seats available at the bar, but a table andn2'chairs available, right next to the bar. After 10 minutes, the waiter came and asked for our order, which we explained we did not have because we were told to come to the bar, which was full. She told us to wait and went to the front for a few minutes. She explains that these sets were reserved and we would have to move by 7:45pm for the 8pm reservations. We were ok with that and thought we would most likely be done by that time. After 15 minutes we were told that there was a space available for us to be seated. So we moved to the space presented. The restaurant was pretty dark and we could barely see our menu. We actually used our phones to read the menus. We ordered the Kale salad, Wings and the steak. The kale salad was delicious and we ordered some to take home. The wing were crispy and had a great taste; I could do without the peanuts on it. The steak was good, we both ordered medium- well steaks but they were more medium rare. The music wasn't the best, but when we were leaving, a DJ started to play music, which was a better vibe. I came here for a late brunch with a friend on a Saturday and we were immediately sat inside. The restaurant is right next to the subway and easy to find. When you walk into the restaurant it's like a breath of fresh air because they have multiple skylights that make the room feel very bright. The restaurant itself isn't that big however their bar is pretty large and has a cool shelving setup. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered one of their spicy cocktails and my friend and I shared their huevos rancheros. The food was yummy and so were the drinks. Bathrooms were clean (a big bonus in my book). Got there for a last minute birthday dinner, the kitchen closes at 11:45pm (a blessing). Just half a star less for the music, which is really subjective on my end, so that doesn't matter. It's a cute place with really good food. I had no expectations since I've never been and barely heard about the place. It's just somewhere I pass on my route all the time. The cauliflower was so good, a fusion of cultural influences on a plate, along with the nice crispy soy flavored wings. The star of the show was the perfectly cooked steak and mash. How the hell have I never written a review for Sisters? Possibly one of the most beautiful gems you can find. Sisters doesn't look like anything from exterior, but inside is a beautiful space with lots of tall ceilings, wood finishing, and natural light coming in from the top. Not sure if live music is coming back here anymore, but they did back in the day. There's a front and a back. Huge spaces. Beautifully designed bars. Plentiful amount of restrooms. The drinks are always on point and the food is always solid. These could be the best friend pickles in all of Brooklyn. This is a great spot for a date or a hang with friends. There is a space is the back you can inquire about having reserved for a large group. Great service and friendly staff make it a great spot. Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood. read more

I had this place on my list for a while but probably for the brunch. However, I was hungry, was on Fulton already so I decided to go in for lunch. At that point on Thursday, the scene was not too loud but not quiet (since it was close to 2) Because I was at least trying to be healthy, I got a kale salad (with additional chicken and an egg on top) and an orange juice. It came at a reasonable time to my table. The kale was massaged enough in the dressing that it didn't just feel like tough greens slathered in sauce in my mouth. There was an adequate amount of chicken as well. The OJ (you could taste the fresh squeeze) was not pulpy and I was happy with that. If I had chugged coffee before coming, I wouldn't mind getting a mocha. The wifi there was decent and I was glad since it was the second reason I came there. It wasn't too crowded or too loud that I couldn't concentrate (I had headphones but just in case I didn't, ambiance is important). Other people were doing so as well so it could be a place not just for catching up with friends or dates but also to get work done outside of your house (or even a work date lol). Made a 1:30pm reservation for a party of 2. Was sat around 1:45pm. The host tried to sit us outside on a 40 degree day. The only other option was a spot at the bar, which ended up being perfect! It took 30 minutes for someone to give us water, and longer to take our order. The location is beautiful, the music was cute, but the service was incredibly slow (they were kind). To add, the Spicy marg was diluted and the French toast was brick hard. I saw a popular IG page recommend this place but I'm so disappointed. I went to Sisters on a Friday night and have a great time! The food was delicious, the vibe was really nice, and prices were affordable. The food: a friend and I ordered the kale salad and burrata to split and both were delicious. The kale salad was massive and really tasty, 10/10 would get it again, I especially liked the crunchy bits on top and throughout. And you can never go wrong w burrata, we did ask for more bread because the amount we got wasn't enough and we didn't want the cheese and tomatoes to go to waste. I assumed we would order more but we were both pretty satisfied with just these two! The drinks: both of us ordered the garden mocktail and it was DELICIOUS! I'd love to try their other mocktails again soon. Would 100% recommend this if you want a refreshing nonalcoholic drink. The vibe: super cute. I especially loved the really tall and clear ceiling, it wasn't something I've seen in Brooklyn yet and felt really airy. I really think that sisters is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Brooklyn. The bar has an amazing setup. Every photo you take here will be a good one, no effort needed. Met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while at Sisters for a Saturday morning brunch. We made a reservation on Resy for 1:30pm. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely stunning and the food was solid, but the service was just not very good, despite it not being that busy. We arrived a little early for our reservation and waited for them to clear our table, which was totally fine. They sat us in their sidewalk shed seating, which was actually really nice! We sat and talked for about 15 minutes before our server came to take our drink order. They have lots of typical brunch drinks like mimosas and margaritas, as well as coffee and the works if you're not planning to drink. We then waited another 15 minutes for our server to come back to take our food order. The food menu has crowd favorites - French toast, fried chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, you get the idea - but once we ordered, it didn't come for about 45 minutes and our server was nowhere to be found. Again, we hadn't seen each other in a while so it wasn't a huge deal, but I can imagine that probably wouldn't fly for some people. When we did get the food, it was tasty. I got the egg sandwich with avocado on a brioche bun ($16). I wanted something that was on the lighter side and thought it was perfect for that intention. My friends got the salmon, French toast, and kale salad and everyone seemed to enjoy theirs as well. By the time we got the check and paid, we had been there for over 90 minutes and not because we were being drunk idiots. Our server was nice, just nonexistent. This is one of the most beautiful bars i have seen in a long time. Its simple and cute and almost french country style. The drinks are really good and the waiters definitely know what's up, since my friend asked for a specific cocktail that was not on the menu and they were quickly able to one with a similar taste. I had a simple mac and cheese order and didn't expect to be blown away but the sauce was so creamy and fluffy it was amazing. The portion was also a bit much so the large mac and cheese will probably be enough for a nice brunch and tomorrow's lunch ;) The ambiance was great, right before it got too busy.
