He is always super soft and got a super cute bandana on. Sometimes if they are busy then they take longer but I don't mind since I use that time to wash all my pup's beds and blankets and more. They are the only people I trust to groom my cat!! I have been taking him to Sit n Pretty since he was a kitten, he is now about to be 4 years old, and they always do an amazing job with him. I have multiple friends with cats that have also started using them for grooming at my recommendation and all my friends are extremely pleased with their grooming services as well. I have a medium haired cat that gets minimal trimming where my friends have cats with double layered coats that often require dematting, shaving and more detailed grooming. It's really difficult to find a cat groomer and I'm so grateful to Mary and her staff for the quality of care they provide. Our cats never come home with any signs of being overly stressed which is amazing and if you have a cat, you know how it goes. We adopted a very timid 4-yr old Pomeranian. I called many groomers to find one that doesn't book a room full of dogs at one time & was advised they don't I asked if she needed copies of her shots and I was told that they believed me and did not require proof. Then when husband picked her up he was told she she ripped a toe nail off. The morning after the last visit she woke up with ear infection which our vet treated. However, on April !1 she started not eating. On 4/17 she broke out with terrible goose sounding cough and couldn't stop. Called several Vets inc ours & none could see her. Husband took her to Emergency vet and paid $800. She was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. I contacted Owner & was told that does not show up right away. She was right because she was there a week ago and has not been anywhere else. She said she would call me back. She sent a text to husband saying she does not have $800 to pay vet and she could have gotten it anywhere. While this is true she had not been anywhere out of our house. When weather is bad she uses doggy pads . They should have records of all shots before taking a pet. They should obviously clean better. I may not be the only call they will get. Our poor little girl is really sick. Sad they don't care. read more

DON'T EVER GO HERE! I paid them via Credit Card and it went through on my end and now they've been hounding me for a day and a half (10+ calls and countless texts) saying they are going to call the cops if I don't pay because it didn't go through on their end.. They refuse to allow me a few days to make sure it doesn't go from Pending to Processed to avoid paying them twice and threaten the cops on me AFTER 1 DAY. I have it on my bank statement and a text alert that I paid. [Photos Attached] They also made my dog wait in a cage while they tried figuring out the card reader as he was crying for me to get him, and as soon as I get him (finally) the lady says "woops, forgot to do his nails" and took him back to do it in 10 seconds.. yikes. Absolutely horrible job and injured my toy poodle. Now I know why I was able to get in same day when others are booked for weeks. Not only did this happen but the owner was extremely rude. Do not use this groomer!!!! They claimed she was matted which she was but in no way should this have happened. She was groomed 7 weeks prior so the matting was not horrible. She also has 2 other smaller nicks on her body. They shaved her tail due to mats. She is 17 years old and been groomed since a puppy. Groomers never complained she was severely matted or had to shave her tail. The tail I can live with but the awful groom job which caused injury is unacceptable. read more

I took my 2 year old cat in for a wash and brush to help alleviate some of my husband's allergic reactions to dander. Previously, my cat had only had one bath in his entire life, when he was weeks old, prior to adoption. Since then, he did not dare to set foot in even a small puddle. Considering his history, I thought for sure that Mary would have an issue with him but I was wrong. She said he was very good and was done much sooner than I had planned for. Since his session last month, he waits patiently, by the bathtub, for his next spa day. Needless to say, I think he enjoyed his experience and we will be back. read more

very unprofessional, i took my cat here to get her nails trimmed and they took her into a room with a bunch of dogs so of course she was going to be uncomfortable and startled. they took her out very aggressively for no reason and the one woman in the back seemed very angry and short tempered. the other workers seemed very nice and understanding. my cat is so sweet in every other situation but the way they went about this, put her in defense mode. i normally live out of state and she's fine at her home vet when they trim her nails so this should've been no problem. they then told me they couldn't do the nail trim because of how aggressive she became in their care. i would not recommend coming here! read more

Don't understand what happened to my dog at this groomer. when I went to pick her up girl could not get her out of cage because she wanted to bite her. WHAT??? my dog is very loveable, would never bite anyone. Got her out of the cage went to pay she told me that there were only a couple mats and taken out very easy. When I got home, my dog would not go to anyone refused to eat and tried to hide. The owner called me back after I placed a call asking what happened. Owner was not there so she could not comment, but girl told her that dog was very matted and hard to get out matts. When owner questioned her if she charged extra, she said no, and then changed her story. That evening my dog was throwing up. They said they did not use medication, okay, I feel that the groomer did not handle the dog respectfully. It took two days for her to be back to normal. Don't know what took place while they groomed her. but will NEVER go back to this place. I was told they have a new groomer, could be the reason why this happened. I have been going to Sit'N'Pretty for a couple years now. The nice ladies do a great job on my pomeranian named Peanut and my American Eskimo, Cody. Cody is 13 years old and always so timid and trembles when he walks in. They know how to handle him and make him feel comfortable. He always looks like a puppy after he has been groomed. Peanut also looks adorable after a good groom job. We ask for the BOO cut and they do a wonderful job!.. I am going to bring my sister's dog, Dekota pretty soon. The ladies are related and they love dogs. They bring their dogs to work and have them in the shop to keep them company. The facility is small but they get the job done at a good price. read more

My dog came today for a haircut. She came back looking like an actual rodent. When I say they did her wrong, they did her WRONG. I genuinely can not believe they thought this was acceptable. I'm furious at the sight of my fur baby. It may seem humorous to some but I kid you not, she looked In the hallway mirror and looked frightened at the sight of herself. They are great for my "woolly bully" girl. She's a mixed breed but think Samoyed-like hair. Knots, the works and she HATES baths/brushing ever since she went to a chain groomer and was scrapped up until she scabbed over. But Sitting Pretty does an amazing job for the price. I have known the owners Pat and Vanessa for a long time. They groomed my Golden Retriever for the 13 years she was alive. I then had a Beagle that loved to take baths so there was a 9 year break . Yet, I would still check in when we all had time. My beloved Beagle just died and I have a new puppy. She is 1/2 Bichon and 1/2 Shitzu . At 5 months, she needs a good grooming. I have a friend who left her puppy at a Pet Smart and when she came back to get him, he was in a coma due to the sedative they gave him. He was DOA when she rushed him to the nearest Vet. The owner and staff of Sit N Pretty are kind and compassionate people. They treat your dog like family. I've been going to Sit N Pretty for 5 years. My dog has orthopedic issues and she weighs over 100lbs. Bathing her and grooming her is very time consuming because she needs a lot of breaks.. We have never been rushed or received a bad haircut. When I take my dog to the vet or to the rehab facility, all I get is compliments on the grooming - her haircut, how soft she is and how good she smells. I do not recommend for puppies. I took my senior dogs for years and things were fine. However, my recent visit for puppy first haircut resulted in a cut on top of her head and traumatized dog who would not get out of the crate. This is after I forewarned the groomer ahead of time and asked if she was at any time unable to address the puppy to call me. They kept her four hours before contact. They reported the cut on top of her head and I don't quite believe their explanation. I'm very disappointed and only wish they would have called before proceeding with her as I asked.
