My original order went off without a hitch. However, I got something that felt good in the store but actually made me sore after sleeping on it. So I go in for an exchange, and that's when the problems begin. First, they won't charge me the 20% restocking fee in the store because the sales guy wanted to leave early. That means they want a check (just $133 vs the $1500 for the original order) on delivery. I leave a check with the doorman, thinking everything is fine. Miss #1: they want me to be physically present for paying by check so they don't deliver, even though they are delivering a second mattress to the same house for a fraction of the cost. Wish they had told me. I call in, and they won't let me pay by credit card, but accounting graciously makes an exception for delivery #2. Miss #2, they deliver the wrong mattress (a queen to replace a cal-king). I dial in, and they put me on hold. Still waiting for a call back two hours later. A lazy store experience causing problems down the road. Dumb policy on not allowing credit card transactions. One missed delivery. Backed up phone service. Many problems compounded. I just don't think they have their ops straight. read more

Updated: September, 2012 Mattress is still good as new. The protector is so great I bought another. I followed the rotation schedule of 3-4 weeks and the mattress feels like its still at the showroom. It has ruined travel for me as no other hotel mattress will do. I still love it and all aches and pains are gone. I was nervous about spending 4x what I have in the past but you get what you pay for. Its worth every dime for better sleep which means better health. With the deal last year no interest for 24 months it was very affordable. Lets first separate two ideals first. The buying/delivery experience and the mattress quality after one year experience. Today's review is 5 full bloated over exploding fireworks stars for Jesus Ruiz. He happens to be the store manager and also processed my sale. no pressure, knowledgeable and most all, personable. He gave me the price I requested without haggling and let me decide on the final product as I was going back and forth on a few different ones from the same manufacture. The sales experience was excellent, in fact, I had some light buyers remorse the following day about the price tag. Jesus said no problem, if you want to make a change we can before its delivered. after trying the same two again and Jesus giving me more education (without pressure), I decided to stick with my original purchase. Then the delivery experience, outstanding. The team called the night before with a window as promised and then the delivery date, they called one hour exactly before arriving at my home as promised. The two gentleman removed my old bedding and set up my new bedding and not expecting them to do so, they also put the mattress protection cover on the new mattress and zipped it up, removed all the debris and asked me to sign the paperwork. They were nice, professional, and super FAST. This is part one of my review. the sales and delivery experience was floor less. thank you Jesus and team. in a year, I will update my post regarding the mattress performance which is really a reflection on the manufacturer not so much the dealer, but the dealer needs to be accountable on the products they sell as well. UPDATE: Long story short, after reaching out (read: complaining) the folks at Sit'N'Sleep tried to make nice and get me to re-order. While hesitant, eventually I did. While I obviously wasn't happy with my first experience (see below), in the end they compensated me for my troubles (read: their mistakes) and I wound up with a great bed and a very fair price. ******************** ORIGINAL REVIEW HERE: I thought I was going to have a pretty decent experience. Salesman was extra friendly, didn't seem to be hocking more expensive beds on me (I was already looking at $2K mattresses) and then made up my mind. He told me that the price at SnS was about as good as any other place around. (This is in Glendale, in the "Bed District") I was willing to believe him. But he tells me that the annoying thing is that the other guys will undercut their best price by $5 but then fail to be able to deliver anytime soon. OK, fine. I'll buy this mattress right here and now. Upon settling up I find out that, wouldn't you know it, SnS can't deliver this mattress for another week. I.e., the EXACT SITUATION HE WARNED US AGAINST with the other guys on the street. Well, you know what? I'm gonna laugh it off. Why be so testy, right? I've been needing a new mattress for weeks, maybe months, so what's a few extra days. I don't even say anything to Mr. Smooth Salesman. BUT THEN ... I get a call a couple days later, from Mr. Smoothy, who tells me, aw geez, it's gonna be a few days later than he promised (i.e., a few days later than the already long wait we agreed to). I'm not pleased. I consider cacelling right there, but I decide to just take a deep breath. Do I really feel like heading back to the stores and doing this whole thing again? No, I do not. So the day before delivery comes and I'm excited. The phone rings. Long story short, they can't deliver in the morning of the scheduled delivery day, only later afternoon. Well, I can't be home during those hours. I call the store, tell them the situation. They refuse to accommodate me. I cancel my order. I feel abused, subjected to terrible service, deception, etc. I will never shop at Sit N Sleep again. read more

Went in to purchase a matress. Danny Shebat was the salesperson. He gave me a "deal or discount" on a matress and an adjustable bed. Two days later its delivered. The adjustable beds were the display beds they use at the store. Both boxes we're open. And one of the beds was broken. After speaking with the General Supervisor, Danny claims that he told me he was selling an open box item, thats why it was such a great deal. Never did he say anything or signed anything saying it was an open box sale. The General Supervisor was able to help me out, but still upset over this sale. Still unfair. I did an independent bed test online (which had MANY manfacturers) and the exact same bed that he recommended came up on the website. I am NOT reviewing the bed - or hasn't been delivered yet. This place has a really great selection of beds, but my experience with Joe was way too "used car salesman"-y. All the schticks were there- dragging on the negotiating process as long as possible to wear you down, throwing numbers at you to confuse you, deflecting or outright refusing to answer any questions you may have regarding prices/quality, and my favorite- the "you better take the deal now OR THE PRICE/BED WON'T BE THERE TOMORROW!!" schpiel. At the end I had to walk out of there because his pushiness was incredibly off-putting and I just couldn't TRUST the guy. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would definitely do it I bought my mattress about one year ago everything was fine at first I had a queen size bed before which I totally miss now but I feel like this review is long overdue and I should've done it once I noticed the problems with this mattress so about two weeks in to getting my mattress I started getting bit in my leg at first I thought maybe it was me that was something else going on in my house but then I thought to myself if I never had a problem with my prior bed why is this happening so I contacted the mattress store and I spoke to one of the sales rep that help me that day I told him my problem and I told him that they had sold me a bed that possibly had bedbugs. I mean we all know immediately he denied it he gave me a story full of BS he told me that they had dogs go sniff the bed before they were shipped out and that no one ever had complained about bedbugs and he said that the problem was at my house not with the mattress. Ao dumb me I let it go and I said OK I'm going to suck it up and see what's going to happen so it's been a year now and I finally got to see where the bugs were i search every night under my mattress on the corners of the mattress and I never got to see one until two weeks ago my husband was laying down on the bed and he realized one on his shoulder he freaked out and he said we have to check the bed so we got up that morning and we pick up the bed and again we did not see anything on the mattress we inspected it once more on the corner we found one on the bottom of the bed that was hiding very secretly. so I told my husband pick up the boxes that hold the bed on the bottom and let's check them so we did and we found about five of them that were walking around the the box springs. I told my husband let's get this out of here as soon as possible I'm not gonna keep looking for where these bugs are coming from there obviously on the bed so As we were taking it out the door I realized that on the tag of the bed there was eggs so I picked up the tag and It was the most disturbing and gross thing I've ever seen there was about 100 bedbugs and 1000 eggs on that tag I was so freaked out I threw away a $2000 mattress please be advise check your mattresses I will never ever shop here again one year with no sleep and one year of getting bit was way too long but because the bed cost me $2000 I sucked it up and to be honest with you I'm glad I got rid of the bed even if it cost me so much money I'd rather sleep on the floor then sleep on one of these mattresses again. And I'm not writing this review to get an apology or to get my money back I'm writing it to advice to people and be where of what product they are selling I don't know how do you people offer a three month warranty isn't selling a used mattress illegal just saying if it's not it should be.
