After a few days it did not feel the same so i called to exchange and up grade the mattress. they informed me that there would be a 356.00 restocking fee. Rather than pitch to me he took the time to speak to me about what I was looking for. A few month ago I was in need of a new mattress and decided to check out Sit and Sleep in Glendale. I was greeted by Sam who assisted me in finding exactly what I was looking for. I told him what my budget was and my concerns regarding my back. Sam gave me multiple options to choose from and explained the pros and cons of each one. He helped me narrow my search to a foam type mattress and a spring mattress. At the time I decided to try the memory foam, since I had always used a traditional inner spring mattress. Sam never made me feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. He was very courteous and helpful. I felt that he did everything to ensure that I would leave satisfied, and I did. Today, almost 2 months later I find myself needing to exchange my mattress to the traditional inner spring type. I am so happy that Sit and Sleep allows the exchange for up to sixty days with a relatively small fee for restocking; how was I suppose to know my body would not adjust. I came in to see Sam after our phone conversation. He was genuinely interested in why I felt the need to exchange the mattress and once again he set out in finding the best mattress that fit my needs. He did also make a few suggestions to try before exchanging the mattress, which would help me save some money. The mattress I decided on at Sit and Sleep, unfortunately is not on sale..... I am confident Sam will do his best to give me a great deal. After looking into the options suggested by Sam, I have come to the conclusion that a new mattress is my best bet. I will be going into the store in the next few days and I pray it will all get resolved so I can sleep "happily ever after". I will let you know how it all pans out. read more

I have never really bought a mattress at a mattress store, usually will do it on the internet and Costco. Today I wanted to educate myself more on the matter since sleep is a very important part of life. Specially for me now that I'm not getting any younger and have not been experiencing good sleep for a while. Please do not purchase any mattress from this store. I purchased a NaturaWorld organic mattress from this store for $1500 in 2009. The sales associate pushed me to purchase this mattress claiming it was fantastic and organic and breathable. He also assured me that it had a 15 year warranty. The next year, because it was sagging I called Sit N Sleep and they immediately told me I had to deal with the manufacturer but that they would send an inspector to inspect the mattress. Once the manufacturer realized the condition of the mattress, they replaced it. A short while later I began to have back problems again. Finally, today I contacted the manufacturer to return the replacement mattress because it is also awful and sags and provides no support. The contact person told me that NaturaWorld was bankrupt and the warranty was null and void. When I contacted Sit N Sleep, the customer service person told me that they could not do anything because the warranty was through the manufacturer, even though in 2010 they had sent someone to my home to inspect the mattress. I asked if there is anything they could do and the customer service person said they will formally respond if I make a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I am so disappointed that not only could they do nothing, but they didn't try to help. Please choose another store for your expensive and important purchase. read more

After not sleeping well for quite sometime, Sit and Sleep was calling our name to come to them to get our new mattress. Jesus Ruiz, the store manager greeted us kindly as we walked into the store. He walked us around the all the different mattresses in our price range for us to lay on every one to choose our selection. After finding the mattress we loved he took us to check us out. He gave us a mattress cover complimentary and promised us a delivery right when we wanted it. I was so happy and excited as soon as I left the store. It had been so long since I had gotten a new mattress and I was already dreaming of sleeping in it. Not to mention, they can take your old mattress away. How amazing is that? I didn't know what I was going to do that old thing. Just days after Jesus called me to confirm my delivery. He let me know in this call that there was something wrong with our mattress when it came in, but to make our delivery on time just as he promised, he was going to give us the upgrade of the mattress for no charge. To be honest, I was a little worried just because I wasn't sure I had tried this mattress he was going to give me, the springs were different and I wasn't sure if I was going to be happy with my purchase now. I took the mattress although I hadn't tried it because I wanted my bed on time. The mattress came perfectly as planned, the delivery on time and my old mattress gone. The first night sleep on my mattress was the best thing ever. THANK YOU JESUS AND SIT 'N SLEEP, for making me a happier person everyday because I sleep so much better now. Went into this Glendale store last week and was greeted by Kent. The guy was rude and loud from the get-go. He was yelling across the room for his employees (sort of classless). I think he might be the store manager. When he made us go through the computer sleep machine to analyze our sleep number, my husband had doubts that it was useful. Maybe this offended him. We were on the market for a tempur-pedic mattress since we've owned one for 9 years and loved it. We were looking to upgrade from a queen to a king. We knew what we wanted, and maybe that also offended him. He said we confused him when we made remarks like a softer bed didn't seem soft or a firmer bed didn't seem firm. Well, that's just how we felt when we slept on it. Anyway, needless to say, we went across the street to Ortho Mattress to purchase the king tempur-pedic we wanted from Donna. As a long time customer of Sit n Sleep, I walked into this store to purchase a new set of mattress and box spring for my mother who is suffering from Arthritis a few weeks ago. We were greeted by Jesus who offered us a mattress with his personal guaranty. He even offered free water resistant bed sheet and pillows. So far so good. We received our order in a week, but my mother complained that the bed wasn't as firm and comfortable as Jesus had claimed. All kinds of problems started when we called the store to exchange the mattress for a firmer one. First, they said I had to pay a restocking fee ($120), then they said the firmer mattress would cost significantly more (over $300 more) and that I had to wait another week to have it delivered. To our surprise, when they delivered the exchanged item a week later, it was a Queen size instead of a full size. Apparently, he had quoted a Queen size bed instead of a full size. ((Round 3)) Jesus promised to deliver the correct size but would only refund $50 for the smaller size. He sounded like a used-car dealer when I was negotiating for full refund of $150. He eventually agreed to a $100 refund for a smaller size. They delivered a box spring a week later without the mattress. I refused the delivery again and called the store to speak to the store manager. Jesus picked up the phone and claimed to be the store manager! He claimed he put the order correctly but the warehouse made a mistake on the order. At this point, I didn't care who made mistake. I wanted to return the order and purchase a mattress from somewhere else. Sit n Sleep lost me as a long time customer because of an incompetent "store manager" who offered the worst customer service! read more

They sold me the i-series garbage of a mattress (1800 dollars) that makes you feel like you are going to fall off the bed, definately not like the one I layed on in the store. Customer service , after the fact, had the nerve to tell me that plush pillow tops tend to be this way. Of course they blamed the salesperson for not telling me in advace prior to my purchase. But this was clearly a defective mattress. It's not my first time buying a mattress...hello? Their independent inspector clearly let me know that based on his observations the mattress was defective as after less than 2 months of use it had sunk on the sides and the middle slightly raised, yet Sit N Sleep sent me a generic letter that these types of indententions are "normal" for the manufacturer's specifications. Really? All they would provide is the "comfort exchange" program where you have to pay a 20 % restocking fee ($319.99). Clearly this was not a comfort problem but a defect problem that lead to having a comfort problem, but they refused to accept it. I ended up getting a lesser brand of a mattress for a price I could not bargain for because apparently they only bargain when it is your initial purchase. You must buy a mattress of equal or lesser value. BOTTOM LINE: I ended up spending 300 dollars more for a mattress that I could have bought for 300 less elsewhere plus I had to pay $319.99 for the restocking fee. Was I ripped off??? ABSOLUTELY. I highly recommend you dont shop at Sit n'sleep who ensures a gauranteed sale from you by locking you into the sale without the honest price match. They wont give a dime of your money back!
