We stopped by on an early afternoon of a Saturday and it was not busy. We picked a booth to seat at and ordered a couple of drinks and tater tots. The server/bartender was really nice and quick in helping. I tried one of the seasonal cocktails (which name I don't remember, unfortunately). It was slightly herby and tea-like since it was earl gray tea based. I really enjoyed it as the drink was very well balanced on the flavors and not insanely alcohol forward. The tater tots were nicely seasoned, crispy, and served with ranch and ketchup. Overall a great experience here!

Popped in here after a dizzying experience across the street. So glad I did! I got the black Porter and tater tots. The Porter was lacking a full body but it was still pretty good. The tots are six meals sized! Service was really good. It's the kind of place where folks go to meet up after work. Went here for happy hour and it was alright. It's a great spot with corner windows that overlooks the Starbucks reserve. Overall everything was good and tasted as expected. The smash burger kinda tasted more like a normal burger than a smash burger. They ran out of ingredients for all of the cocktails on their happy hour menu when we went or something so we weren't able to get any of those which was a bit disappointing. We got a different drink that came with a sticker that was fun though. Service was very nice and friendly.

Six Arms has a perfect spot in Seattle with an awesome ambiance inside the restaurant. We decided on a quick happy hour with a bit of food after traveling all day from the east coast. Six Arms was a perfect spot to get exactly what we wanted. The place is full of windows, which made it a bit warm in the late afternoon as the sun was coming through the windows, but it was nice to be able to see the outside and the sun. There are tons of beers on tap and the server was thoughtful to go through some local options for to be sure we made a good choice. After a full day of travel, the turkey sandwich with tater tots was not too filling, but still good enough that I wasn't hungry later in the day. For a quick, inexpensive meal, this is perfect.

The service here was terrible, and the food was even worse. Everything was microwaved, and overpriced. This is the kind of food that even drunk people can't enjoy. The gyro was disgusting, the meat was flavorless and not what you expect gyro meat to be. The drink was bitter and hard to drink, I don't know how they pulled that off! It didn't help that our server was an overworked, and extremely sassy little man. He even held his finger up to my face and told me he's busy, when I walked up to the bar and asked if I was supposed to pay there. The rest of the time, he was running around giving other customers attitude, and his special brand of bad customer service. For the 3 items pictured in this review, we got hit with a $70 bill. Save yourself the headache, and go somewhere else, they obviously don't care at Six Arms.

Came for happy hour and always a solid experience because you get so much bang for your buck. My seasonal favorite IPA is on tap at the moment - The Sunflower IPA, check it out! The food is pretty much near what you'd expect for any brew pub, the Cajun tots are a personal favorite and can't go wrong with, also the cheeseburger and fries are a great choice. The fries are made in house and better than what you'd expect, they're perfectly crispy and seasoned, so good!

When I first walked in, I was greeted by the one I call "Lucky." He didn't have much to say, but he knows what the people want. Cool music and nice, funny, attentive people in here. I love the classic bar feels this place gives. It reminds me of bars back home. They were playing some popular rock music from the 90s/2000's.....always a plus. They have a tap lined with 14 different beers. I tried two from their IPA selection and both were pretty good. They have a list of specialty cocktails, as well. I ordered the Bacon Swiss Burger (the name escapes me) medium rare. It was closer to medium (it was medium) but still tasty. The bun had a great little crisp to it, which I was a fan of. Overall, this seems like a fun nighttime spot while you're out hopping. I would bring a date or friends here so give it a shot if you're around and looking for a fun vibe.

Cute decor at this location! We are McMenamin's Passport holders and pick a direction and find a destination or two close by to get our stamps or complete a page. We finished off our Seattle area and ended here. We had their burgers and relaxed a bit before heading back home to the Portland area. Food is average overpriced McMenamin's food. Drinks are fun and always pretty good. Our server was nice, the Cajun tots are always a hit and we will continue on our McMenamin's Passports journey ....

My husband and I do the McMenamin's Passports and we had to stop here for stamps. I was stressed after driving through Seattle traffic but I did not want to drink alcohol because I had to keep driving in the crazy city traffic. So they made me a Virgin version of their Tiki Tuesday drinks. They lit it on fire too which was a fun experience. Tip- they can light anything on fire that you want! The waitress that helped us said that she was new when we asked some questions but 2 other employees were there within seconds to answer them. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I'd totally come back.

I love coming to any of the McMenamins. The food is always pretty good and their drinks are always delicious. This location is not my top 10 but it does have the vibe and usual ambiance of any other McMenamins. Our service was wonderful. I enjoyed our passport stamp location which I had brought but already had the stamp for here. I'll be back again some day I am sure.

Funky pub on Pike with ok food and slow service. Right across from the Starbucks tasting room tourist trap the Six Arms has decent food and wide selection of beers. Interior and vibe is funky, laid back, eclectic and linger-friendly. This is what an old pub is supposed to look like, five stars! Drinks are decent, great selection of drafts but the sodas were super flat and stale. So if you're looking for softdrink options, this place ain't for you. Three stars. Food was decidedly average, we had a variety of burgers, all decent but not inexpensive, ah well, that's downtown Seattle for you! Twenty bucks for an average blue cheese bacon burger is rough. Three stars. Service was slow and the place wasn't super busy either. They seem short staffed though our waitress was hustling. Table wasn't wiped down right and sticky, filthy floors, typical signs of insufficient staffing. Three stars. Don't get me wrong, Six Arms is decent but with that location (across from the always crazy busy Starbucks attraction) could be a real goldmine but it really needs more staff. And fix the grossly stale soda please.

This place is so cute and has LEGIT GOOD pub food. I had the bleu bayou salad which was like a wedge but with super fresh romaine, like mostly greens and not a lot of spines! A HUGE pile of delicious blue cheese crumbles and yummy dressing that wasn't drowning it. Sorry, forgot to take a picture of it because I was so hungry and it looked so delicious. My cousin got the rice bowl with black beans and a good sized portion of fresh avocado. Of course we got the cajun tater tots and there were so many that we took most of them home to warm up in the air fryer. Lee was so nice and customized my cousins very strong drink perfectly. Highly recommend for some good comfort food meal. Service was friendly!

I've always liked this place in the past, but I had a recent experience there that was pretty awful. Currently Book of Mormon is playing at the Paramount, and it is beyond sold out. Very popular, with lots of people trying to grab dinner nearby before the show. I first tried to go to Rumba and then Tango, but both were packed, and the staff knew exactly why: the pre-show crowd. So I went to Six Arms, which was not full. Seemed like a great idea. However, apparently they hadn't staffed the place to accommodate the crowd (even though this was actually the second week BOM was playing), so there were 2 servers in the whole place, one of whom was doubling as bar tender. Long story short, we were ignored for a very long time, didn't even receive menus for 20 minutes after sitting down, and then it was another 45 minutes for the food to arrive, at which point we had them put it in boxes so that we could shove it in our faces as we speed-walked to the Paramount to JUST make it in time for the show. We watched several other tables walk out when they either couldn't get their orders placed or their food just didn't come in a reasonable amount of time. This is the kind of thing the restaurant should totally be able to anticipate and staff for accordingly. It was very disappointing and really doesn't make me want to go back there for quite awhile. read more

Pretty standard bar/pub food. I've spent many a night here drinking, eating and drinking and eating. Nothing mind blowing as far as food goes, but it's always tasty. Beers are great...Ruby used to be one of my favorites. The service can be a little spotty, so don't go if you're impatient, starving or have to eat RIGHT NOW! Love the tots and "Maria's Masterpiece" is always a welcome gut bomb. Great place to spend a rainy afternoon drinking and eating your troubles away. read more

I really liked the look and feel of the place - eclectic and interesting. Nice location near, but an easy walk from the downtown hotel area. Now the downsides: I've been to many brewery taprooms/bars around the country and have tried lots of beers - all of the ones here (I had samplers of 8) are very average (some below average). And, I'm with those who thought the service wasn't very good. read more

Great atmosphere! We were lucky enough to make it in after a rush, so the service was great. The menu was simple, but pretty awesome. When we got our food - the Gonzo Grilled Cheese and a bacon cheeseburger - it was awesome! Food tasted so good. Just a tip: get the tots! read more

Come here if you want a drink but not to eat. Drinks were good, food average, service... horrible. Waited 45 min for appetizers despite being promised 10-15 min when we ordered when we sat down, "fast" food (waiter's words) ---burgers, fish and chips--took over an hour. Waiter practically non-existent, had to flag down other servers to order beer refills, updates on food status. Given all the fantastic dining options in the area, I won't be back. read more

It's all the about the decor and stuffed crows for me. The food is decent (a couple of veggie items), and the beer is good, but really the ambiance is what makes me come back to the Six Arms. The place is often crowded and loud, which isn't bad necessarily, but don't expect a quite conversation here. read more

Tater Tots is that enough said? Also there ruby beer is amazing, my boyfriend love the Terminator stout. Any McMenamins is a good place I just like that its so close to my work! McMenamins beer is amazing so any of them you can make it too is worth your time and money! read more

I've been to this place numerous times over the years and realized during tonight's visit why so many months pass between each visit. It takes a long time to forget how long you wait for service. And, I won't even venture to guess how long you'd have to wait for competent, friendly service. The beer is great and they have tater tots. read more

Wow. I walked in here on my first day in Seattle on a lark. This place is great. Had the Wheat ale at Robert's suggestion. Delicious. Then I ordered the steak & ale stew that was on special. It was served on buttered noodles. MAN, this totally hit the spot. The meat was tender and the seasoning just right. I cleaned the bowl with my foccacia (sp?) bread. Great friendly service. I will definitely frequent this place while I'm here. read more

Too many other better options all around Seattle and within one block in and around the Melrose Market. They've all got good beers. They've all got better food. The Raven Chicken Sandwich for around 12 bucks is a loser. When I cut it in half the first half I picked up was minus the chicken. All of the chicken breast resided in the second half. The pesto over powers the meat. The fish sandwich is somewhat better with a delicious tartar sauce included. But, guys, what's with those french fries? I won't make the obvious jokes about these terrible fries. Let me say LIMP as a wet noodle. Quite possibly the worst fries we have ever had. read more

Love coming here for happy hour -- they have an especially solid food menu: cajun tots, soft pretzel, hummus, etc, with most dishes being under $6. There's also a damn good beer selection with ton of variety and usually at least a few stouts or porters (so refreshing to see in IPA saturated Seattle!) They also brew some of their beer on site. The servers are always really friendly and accommodating, and I love the outdoor seating for the warmer months. read more

We couldn't choose which restaurant to eat at so walked into Six Arms and couldn't be happier. Excellent and attentive service. It was fast and best bar food I've had during Seattle visit. We came here twice during the evening around 7. We didn't experience long waits either time. They're cajun tater tots are my favorite. I also recommend fried fish sandwhich, Reuben, & sweet potato fries! I highly recommend checking it out! Love the ambiance & vibes! read more

Tater. Tots. Oh, wait. Excuse me. I stand corrected. Cajun. Tater. Tots. This was a fun little discovery suggested by my friend for a going away party. Though I wish I could talk more about the great gathering I attended, this review is based solely on the venue. Kinda cool, kinda rustic. This place lingered in "kinda" land. Was the atmosphere good? "Kinda" Were the drinks good? "Kinda" Do they have a good happy hour? "Kinda" The saving grace about this place is that they offer the cafeteria staple in a grown up manner. No, not Tuesday surprise, tater tots with Cajun flare! Overall, I give this place one star for it being somewhat near my office, another star for the nostalgic tater tots, and a final third star for my education that Six Arms is a bar in Capitol Hill and has no connection or relevance to the NRA. Lesson learned, now go get some tots. read more

I've been here a few times for pitchers of beer but have never eaten, with the exception of some sweet potato fries one time. It just seems like a loud, laid-back bar to me, and despite a couple visits, real doesn't stand out to me in any way. read more

The cajun tots were excellent. The fries were okay. We were there for a late-night weeknight happy hour, and it kind of felt like our waiter was trying to rush us out. Nevertheless the service was OK, the drink menu afforded reasonable choices, and the service was acceptable. read more

My husband and I went here on a Friday after work. I was a little worried when we couldn't find any tables. My husband pointed out there was an upper level and we were able to find a table over looking the bottom floor of the bar. We got Scooby Snacks for an appetizer b/c I love a corn dog, mmmmm. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger for dinner and was a little dismayed to discover that they put mayo on it. I managed to scrape most of it off and drown the rest with enough ketchup and mustard to negate the other taste. My burger was cooked well and the bacon was delish. My husband ordered a reuben and loved it. Every restaurant should offer tots as a side. Overall, I liked the place and will be back. read more

Vibes are super chill here and it's the perfect spot for conversation and a simple, cozy time. The top floor has limited seating and the bottom floor has a little more wiggle room. There's a couple tvs here and there for game viewing if desired. They have a great selection of local and nearby beers/ciders. I can't quite recall if they had wine but I'd assume they do. They also have NA options for the 0% friends! Overall this is such a cozy spot for a drink or two. Highly recommend stopping in!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

The chicken was a bit salty while the ramen had a good amount of spice to it. Ramen broth was really good, especially on a cold night for me being from Hawaii. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the cheese perogies. I enjoy perogies and haven't had any while on this trip to Seattle so a bit of a bummer. It was more like cheese ravioli. DO NOT GO HERE..unless you want to wait and wait and wait some more and generally be ignored. I went in once just by myself and sat down and waited for over 45 minutes just for the server who looked DIRECTLY AT ME 4 times..FINALLY asked me if I wanted something to drink. And what was particularly offensive was that I sat down and 3 parties of people(either invididuals or groups of people) who came into the place anywhere from 20-30 minutes AFTER me were asked within TWO MINUTES of their sitting down if they wanted anything to drink!! So I asked the server who pretended I was invisible man how he would feel if people who came in waaaay after him were served waaaaayyy BEFORE him? And he just said in his Australian accent "well hey..I saiiid can I get ya somethin to drink ay?". Had a great experience here! Had a horrible experience a few nights ago at a different place so we decided to go here and hopefully have a better night. We really did, the ambiance was great I loved our server Erin. She was very knowledgeable and very friendly, we even had the manager Cara stop by the table which is rare at restaurants these days for managers to come by. I will definitely be coming back here, I had the Maria's special which was a hot turkey sandwich and it was amazing. The staff at McMenamins are AMAZING! I visited Seattle and made this place my last stop before embarking back home the next day. I enjoyed some local beers and had a great conversation with my server. After they closed, I had realized that I lost my sunglasses. I thought that it was a long shot that my sunglasses would be there, but alas they found them! The staff is going above and beyond to return my prescription sunglasses to me out of state and I could not be more thankful and happy to have done business with them! Everybody loves the tater tots... put me down for that too. The food is good too, and I especially appreciate the several vegetarian options on the menu. The servers are good too, and go the extra mile with a smile. The last time I was there my wife and I decided to sit up on the upper level where it would be quieter. We were the only ones up there, and our poor server climbed those steps up and down half a dozen times for us and never lost her smile. read more

I've been going to McMenamins across the PNW for a long time, and it's because of their awesome food and really cool atmosphere. Six Arms is no different, lots of really interesting decor and just a nice cozy feeling in general. McMenamins as a whole has been a little hit and miss on their seasonal beers for me, and the service is always just a little slower than I'd like, but I'm more than willing to sit for an extra minute to enjoy this place. read more

The lighting is nice and dim, quiet... It isn't overly done up or dive-like either. I always feel comfortable tucked away on a rainy night in one of their booths.
