The standout dishes for me were the Calamari, Karaage, and Daikon Salad. The Calamari was perfectly fried, and the seasoning was well-balanced. The Karaage was also perfectly fried, and the sauce was flavorful. The Daikon Salad was light and refreshing. I would like to thank our server, Noah, for his helpfulness in choosing our dishes and for the prompt service. I highly recommend it!

The good: fresh, quality ingredients The bad: started with the host/wait list. I accidentally added my name twice for a solo diner. Host thought it was a mistake and completely removed me from the wait list and seated other parties that came in after me. Thoroughly confused - she didn't even call my name to confirm so I had to go up to her and ask. No apology either. Was seated at the counter where solo diners usually sit. Service was non existent. Server came up to me and ask "what would you like to order?" I've never been there before. No "hi my name is ... I'll be your server" nada. They're just a machine - people in people out. The ramen - broth was fine. The squiggly noodles aren't my favorite. Expected to have kernel corn but had corn ribs instead (good thing I'm good with chopsticks!) The charshu was just okay. Enoki topping was just ... aight. The nice touch was that they didn't put it in the ramen and served it on the side to preserve its crunchiness because it definitely needed the texture! It was loud, busy, and nothing spectacular about the dining scene here. $55 dollars later (ramen, 2 additional toppings, one box of sake) ... I sadly don't think it was worth it.

Ordered the chicken thigh, chicken skin, and tofu scallion yakitori. Chicken thigh yakitori- cold meat that was clearly old frozen meat. Biting into this was like biting into a spongy mush slab tasting only strange water excretions and the overwhelming teriyaki sauce drenching it. 0/10 Chicken skin yakitori - expected a fried skin lightly seasoned item. Received regular mushy chicken skin with no flavor or pan searing, baking, frying nothing. Again drowned in teriyaki sauce. 0/10 Tofu scallion yakitori - tough, old, and dry tofu on a stick drenched in teriyaki sauce again. 0/10 I have never received such horrible food. Ramen Station is hands down one of the best ramen spots in the Bay Area. What really sets it apart…read moreis the fully contactless experience, which is both efficient and fun. Walking in feels like stepping into a Japanese train station--bright colors, bold art on the walls, and TVs playing scenic views from a Japanese train ride. Below the screens are self-ordering kiosks where you customize everything yourself. My go-to order every time: Spicy Tan Tan Ramen -- 10/10. The broth is rich, creamy, and perfectly spicy with a sesame-infused base. It comes with ground pork, seaweed, green scallions, corn, and woodear mushrooms. I usually substitute the woodear mushrooms for shiitake mushrooms, add pickled pink ginger, ask for light salt, and choose skinny noodles. I love that you can customize toppings and noodle thickness exactly how you want. Once you pay, a receipt prints with your number. You wait until your number is called over the radio--when it happens, a train bell rings, and your number flashes above the serving window like you're boarding a train. Such a cool touch. Portions are generous, flavors are always bold, and the ramen is consistently packed and satisfying. If you're taking it to go, they offer solid packaging options so you can reheat everything properly at home. Tip: skip the paper bags--they don't hold up well. Get the box and handle with care. I come here often, and even after trying other ramen spots, nothing compares. Ramen Station is a true 5-star, contactless ramen experience. Highly recommend.

It may be a bit tricky especially around meal time, but keep circling and you'll find a spot near by enough. This cute little ramen shop has such perfect lighting coming through thanks to thier skylight. We weren't actually hungry so we shared the following: TONKOTSU - $16.50 (Regular) Pork Belly Chashu, Bamboo Shoots, Red Onion, Wood Ear Mushrooms, Green Onion, Ajitama Egg. You get a choice of noodles to pick: 1.) Hakata - Thin Straight 2.) Sapporo - Medium Thick Wavy Figured since it's my first time here, I choose the most basic version of their bowl of ramen. I chose Sapparo and for some reason expected it to be thicker/wider, but regardless it was still good! The presentation of this bowl is just gorgeous, served on a small wooden platter. The red onion is chopped, and the pork Belly is quite tender. Regarding the egg, you get just half. Overall this bowl of ramen is creamy, rich, and the right amount of flavor and salt. But still make sure to drink at least a glass of water! CREAMY CHASHU PORK CROQUETTES - $8.50 I have never seen anything like this so I must give it a try! It actually didn't come out piping hot, so I was able to drive in right away! It was definitely creamy (like ramen) and had pieces of the Chau's pork, encased in a crispy and warm batter that was deep fried. It also comes with a katsu sauce and I really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and didn't make us feel bad for ordering enough of just one, but man I was so full. Had to walk around downtown Berkeley for awhile.

The restaurant…read moreis a cozy and dimly lit ramen shop in Rockridge with a bar area close to the front entrance and a good amount of seating. The front entry way is a bit narrow, so it may be slightly awkward if there are others waiting in the same area. The restaurant was quite busy when I went, and most tables were occupied, which seemed surprising for a Tuesday night. I arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and was seated right away. The menu features a special along with a handful of appetizers and ramen dishes. There were also two fried rice options. One thing to note, I did not notice any ramen dishes with tonkatsu broth, it was either shoyu or miso broth. However, each ramen option appears to have a good amount of toppings. Both my friend and I opted to order the Meyer Lemon Shoyu Veggie ramen without egg. The dish took longer than expected and while I liked the addition of the baby carrots and broccolini, the broth was lacking flavor (I didn't notice much of the Meyer lemon flavor) and the noodles were mediocre. Considering the price of the dish ($28.50), I expected the ramen to be more palatable and impressive or loaded up with veggies. It would've been nice to have more toppings in the dish, maybe some sautéed mushrooms or roasted eggplant, without having to request/pay for add ons. The broth was bland and I was hoping for a noticeable, citrusy flavor, which didn't come through. My friend and I opted to order and share both dessert options. We both liked the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was warm and comforting and paired well with vanilla ice cream. I thought the black sesame ice cream sandwich was good too. Although, the brown butter cookies had more of a crunchy, cracker-like texture and not the type of cookie I was expecting. Customer service was kind and attentive, and I had no issues there. I think the main drawback is the price for each dish and the lackluster flavor of the ramen. For 2 bowls of veggie ramen and two desserts, the total was $91+ before tip. We didn't order any appetizers or drinks, and the cost seemed too steep for what we ordered to be honest. While it was worth checking out, I am not fully sure if a return trip is worthwhile. It may be best to visit a different ramen shop for a truly flavorful dish and a better meal.

The ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. The tonkotsu broth was creamy and savory without feeling overly heavy, and the noodles had a great texture. The pork belly was tender, flavorful, and melted in my mouth, making every bite satisfying. The buns were soft, fluffy, and a great addition to the meal. The filling was flavorful and paired perfectly with the pillowy bun, making them an easy favorite. The karaage was also a standout. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned, it made for a great side to pair with the ramen. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff kept things moving smoothly despite the restaurant being busy. The vibe is lively and energetic, with the feel of a popular ramen shop that's always buzzing with customers. It's casual, welcoming, and a great place to enjoy a comforting bowl of ramen. Overall, a fantastic spot for authentic tonkotsu ramen and delicious Japanese comfort food. I'd happily return whenever I'm craving a rich bowl of ramen.
