The parking situation could be better. There is so much land that is closer to the front area, why cant they make parking lots over there? Instead of having us walk all the way around back. It was almost a mile walk to the front. There was a lot more roller coasters than I expected. Definitely thrill capital fersure. I went on Tatsu and that was a lot of fun. The burger we got for lunch was not it. The meat was so try and over cooked, then they just slapped on a slice of cheese on it. Like at least have the cheese a little melted?? But then later for dinner we got a loaded tater tot and pulled pork mac and cheese and these both were hitters!! Definitely one of the better amusement park foods I ever had.
What's up Flavor Budz!! So, it's been a minute since I've been to Six Flags. I was feeling the burn, seriously, walked for hours! But anything for my niece, she wanted to be there for her birthday, so there we were. The family showed up and showed out for my baby girl. She and her closest girlfriends had a blast. The park wasn't crowded, so they got through lines pretty quick. The park is still in good shape, most rides are running, I just didn't realize how hilly it was! Eh! Good thing I had my cute walking shoes on, auntie was cute! Ok! My hubby upgraded our day pass, so Six Flags, I'll be back! P.S. If you're interested, upgrade your day pass inside the park for $50 a ticket. You get access to all four parks: Knott's Soak City, Six Flags, and Hurricane Harbor! - You're welcome
It's been like 15 years since I been here. Since we're Prestige pass holders we made the drive down from the bay area for spring break. Parking is a bit of a walk and sometimes they have a shuttle bus but this day they didn't. You can pay extra for closer parking but it's not much shorter of a distance unless you want to pay $70 for front gate parking. There was only one line to pass through security and then to the entrance. PP holders do have a separate line to the left. However lines were moving fairly quick. I must say the park seems a bit spread out. Lots of turns and walkways that we almost missed. They don't have paper park maps anymore and everything is on the Six Flags app. No more cash since COVID either. App had wait times listed but it seemed off majority of the day. We did purchase Fast Lane but X2 is excluded from the pass which makes no sense. X2 always had 90+ minute wait and would constantly be temporary down. Honestly for $129 each person was not worth it. Still 15 to 25 minute wait and you had to use the app to still check in for fast lane for each ride. Complete it and have the QR code scanned then check into the next ride. Don't get me wrong it shaved off maybe 30 to 45 minutes off wait time but this was a week day. Maybe worth it to purchase on a weekend. Wish they would just bring back wristbands. Overall park was ok but it seems run down and old but they are trying to maintain and keep it nice. I do like there are some zip up pouches on the ride itself for you to put your cellphone, sunglasses, or keys in. Just remember to grab it when you exit the ride. Superman has been closed for a couple years and the games are expensive. Employees were very nice and friendly and ride attendants were humorous and made the ride fun. Food and drinks are typical like any other theme park. Meh I may come back but no rush. If you have a season pass remember to scan for extra discount.
People need to stop with the 1 star reviews for their lost phone. It is not Magic Mtn's fault that you bring your phone on the ride and don't secure it. Yes when you go upside down, your phone will fall out of your pocket. I bring zippered sweater/shorts for this exact reason!! I'm happy Six Flags has been painting and improving the park. It's sad how mismanagement has let the park get so run down. I'm also happy they are working on the kids area. In order to attract more families, this area was in sore need of improvement. However, I do not agree with the removal of RIDES to put in playgrounds. I didn't get a membership for a playground- that's for free in my neighborhood. I bring the kids to Magic Mountain for the RIDES!! Please add more kid rides, not remove them.
Haven't been to Six Flags in maybe 15 years or so. Purchased my tickets online , $65 each. Drove down from my hotel in El Segundo to the park. Parking $40, not bad and compares to most theme parks. Covered parking with solar atop. Shuttle to the entrance but I opted to walk. Park wasn't too crowded and ride wait times were very reasonable. Overall we had a good time. Funnel cake was good.
OK, could this place be cleaner? Yes for sure. Could the workers and security enforce the rules better? Yes..... without question Could the rides literally be any more fun? Not a chance.... I have to say, I really hate the Six Flags in Vallejo, it's a pile of ****... This one though, I thoroughly enjoyed. The rides here are just fantastic that's for sure, and there are a surprising amount of dining and drink options all through the park. The food was decent, it is $$$ though. The rides are what really shines here.... Goliath, Tatsu, X2, WOW... I only almost passed out like 5 times that day, no big deal....... We actually had such a good time here, that we will never go to Vallejo again, even though it's close, there is really no comparison between the 2 parks. Let's talk critiques though. For one, it's dirty, very dirty. Six Flags needs to do some serious work in the maintenance and cleaning department. The amount of trash everywhere is a bit ridiculous, even inside gated areas, and the amount of spiderwebs and gum and trash in every queue is a bit much. Also, the workers really couldn't care less about smoking, vaping, line skipping, etc, and that really is a bit ridiculous. The first ride we got on the attendants pulled my daughter off the ride to check her height, she is freshly tall enough to ride which is one of the reasons we went in the first place. She walked up to the board, was clearly over the height limit, and they then went OUT OF THEIR way to get her under the limit before sending us away. "Take a deep breath" "Hold your breath" "look forward" "look this way" until they were able to get her height under.. It was pretty bizarre and they sent us to customer relations to "get her actual height and a wristband." Guess what... she was tall enough.... Got our dumb wristband and went right back into the same queue, with a longer line. If you are going with a child that is just at the height mark, save yourself the hassle and walk straight through the gate to customer relations, and get your kid a wristband.
Had a great visit at Six Flags Magic Mountain! The rides are perfect for teens and adults, and the lines weren't too bad during our visit. What really stood out was how friendly and welcoming the employees were--they were helpful, informative, and made the experience even better. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at the bar/restaurant area. The burger and wings were both delicious! I asked for the wing sauce on the side so I could share with my kid, and the sauce was REALLY good--honestly better than some places we've tried recently back in our hometown. Overall, a really fun day with great rides, great staff, and unexpectedly tasty food. We would definitely come back again!

I just got a dining plan and I have been trying the different food places in the park. Unfortunately overall I'll have to give the food a low rating. With the dining plan it's still a great value. For $160 you can get 2 meals at every visit spaced out 4 hours apart. They do have a variety of options to choose from. On slow days the food comes out pretty quickly but it's often cold and not fresh. On busy days it can take 30 minutes to an hour to get food. Look at the photos for reviews of each food item.
I have been here so many times since 1990 but somehow never wrote a review. Now I'm taking my teenagers to enjoy the rides since I don't anymore ... hahaha the park is very nicely organized, clean and right now they have a spring special Gold annual pass for around $90 I purchased it for us hoping we will come more often in the next 12 months. It includes parking and access to a few other parks. Great deal. The only problem is the food sold here. Very very bad quality and super expensive. I guess they have to somehow make up for the good prices they offer on admission. A bottle of water is $7 ... I got a turkey leg for my son for $18 and gave it right back telling them it not edible. You can't even bite into it it was so dry and horrible. So they replaced it with a cheeseburger which was somewhat edible. From now on we won't be eating here. We will have breakfast then enjoy a couple of hours of fun then go home and eat at home. Or stop by In & Out on our way home. Over the years we have tried different options at the park and everything was bad food. The rides are super fun though. My sons love the Goliath, the X2, the Tatsu, the Full Throttle and a few more. A must every time. I also learned that we can go to knotts berry farm as well with these annual passes since it was bought by six flags recently. How fun.
I was last at Six Flags with my roller coaster club and had an incredible time! We had extended ride time on Twisted Colossus and Full Throttle. I must say the team members for both rides were phenomenal! This park is always a blast, especially for thrill seekers. If you love high intensity roller coasters, this is the place for you! You can also get in touch with your inner child and enjoy Looney Tunes characters.
Review #27 for 2025 3.5 stars It's been a loooooong time since I have been to 6 Flags, at least 10 years. I remember coming here back in high school and even through some years of college. I stopped going to theme parks period years ago until this year, now with a toddler in tow and trying to find ways for him to get his energy out. We've been to 6 Flags Magic Mountain 2x now. Mainly due to having a season pass. Now with the merger of Six Flags, the Cedar Fair parks and Knotts, it's a no brainer and a steal compared to going to Disney. We paid $175 for a prestige season pass and that included going to the parks for the rest of 2025 and the full calendar year of 2026 with no blackout dates and preferred parking! We went to 6 Flags because we bought our passes with this park as our home park to save $70 compared to having Knotts as our home park. We also got an all parks meal plan for $155 and a drinks plus plan for $56. For less than $400, the pass included unlimited no blackout visits with parking, 2 meals during each visit (4 hours in between meals), and drinks (soda, icee, coffee, hot cocoa every 15 min). Oh I also get 1 free fast pass each visit! 6 Flags has mostly big kid/adult rides, but they do have the Bugs Bunny area for kids, which is where we go with our little guy. Even on the weekend when we go, it was never really crowded and wait times were minimal. Our boy loves to eat at the parks and go on the car rides and just people watch. The meal plan works great because we get a meal as soon as we get there, hang out for several hours and get another meal before heading home. They do have event throughout the year. We were not able to make it for the Halloween event, but we have been for the Holidays in the Park. It does look pretty with all the lights, but I do remember more lights back in the day. There are some things the park could do to give it more life... for example a paint job throughout the park to brighten the park back up and patching up the cracks and broken cement around the park. It looks run down with all the faded paint and broken cement. Hence I docked a star. I think it would make a BIG difference to simply fix those things. It definitely does not have the Disney "magic". My toddler might not notice those things, but I do. Regardless, the park is great value for the price and my toddler has fun so that's all that matters. I am not willing to pay "Disney" prices. Would I be back? Yes I would be back. I even plan on coming back to go the Hurricane Harbor as that is also included in our pass!
This was my second time visting this park. I couldn't review my first trip as we were only there a short amount of time when the park closed due to the fires in the area. It took 12 hours to get back to where l lived so I have avoided LA like the plague since that trip (well over 10 maybe even 15 years) Bought the Prestige pass and had to come here to activate the pass before using it at other parks. In addition to purchasing this pass we purchased the all parks drink pass (1 drink every 15 minutes) $36.99 and the all parks upgraded drinks pass $53.99 (includes icees and hot cocoa every 15 minutes). For myself I had purchased the all day dining meal which includes food or a snack every 90 minutes for $44.99. The first time I redeemed it I got the drink bottle, which can be filled every 15 minutes and is good through at least the end of 2025. Was super surprised the food is good? Lines for food can be long and with the dining pass I could not order ahead. Below is what we got: 1. Primo's Pizzeria-got a slice of pepperoni pizza and breadstick. It was for my 9 year old who ate some of it. Husband and I took a nibble he said it tasted like Costco pizza. I thought it was meh as well. (I forgot to take a photo). This had the shortest aka no line when we got there. 2. Chicken coupe-got the chicken tenders and fries. Both were hot, crispy and tasty. This had a few people in front of us. 3. Max'd Out Mac & Screaming spuds-long line, took forever. They would have one person order, get their food to them, then call up the next person. I got the loaded potato tots. They had beer cheese, bacon, green onions on them. They were cold when I got them but I was hungry so I ate part of them. Husband tried and was not a fan either. 4. Food Etc-came here at the end of the night (it was one of the few places still open) and got the nachos. They had what looked like chili on them, beans, jalapeños and pico de gallo on them. They were a lot better tasting than they looked. The rides. We got into the park at about 11:30am after parking and dropping our dogs off at the kennels (will write about that at the end). The line to get in was long but we got to use the "fast" entrance which was not fast. Where we would have been in the line over we would have got in faster. We headed to the left after walking in and that put us near: Viper which kidlet couldn't ride, X2 which had a long line and the new revolution classic. We rode that and grabbed food. After that ended up in the back corner of the park to ride Apocalypse. The ride itself is ok but the wait to get in is long and it super overstimulating. You are essentially in a tin metal tunnel (I had no cell reception at all) it is dark, the only light is the exit sign and the glowing red lights and the "tvs" on. My 9 year old tolerated it well but it was a lot of noise too. I wouldn't go on this ride again unless I had a fast pass. Gold rusher-line was not long but it is a rough ride. My 9 year old loved it though. X2-this was intense. As a person who has rode roller coasters as long as I was tall enough too, it was a lot of sensory things going on that I can't even say if I liked or disliked the ride. I will need to ride it again. My 9 year old found it intense as said they will not ride it again. My husband was too big for this ride. Twisted colossus-rode this in the dark. My 9 year old LOVED it. I enjoyed the ride aspect but as a person who is on the chunky side with a mom pooch this ride was brutal. My husband who is also stocky was too big for this ride. Ninja-it broke down, then reopened and we rode it. It is an older coaster and not super thrilling but was an interesting concept (you ride in a "car" under the rail. Goliath-this was a good ride. Rode it at night and used our 1x flash pass quick queues on this. It was not easy to determine how to use these. We had the staff working the flash pass entrance explain it. She did not seem happy or wanting to help. Magic mover-this gets your from the lower part of the park to the upper level of the park without having to walk uphill. It is very loud and it gets to be standing room only and jerks so brace yourself. Roaring rapids-we got wet. I don't remember how wet we got on this. We shared the ride with others and I feel we all got wet a decent amount. I liked that this version (unlike Knott's) has a place to put your feet up so your shoes don't get soaked. Teen Titans Turbo spin-kidlet and husband rode this. It had no line and there were very few people on it. They enjoyed it. That was all the rides we were able to ride that day. It is partially our own fault as we had no plan we just kept roaming from place to place. If we had been more intentional we might have got to ride more. The day we went was a long day. It was a 3 hour drive there, 3 hour drive back and we were at the park from 11:30-8:45pm. We have the season pass and will be back in the future.

This time I came alone on a Saturday (June 21), and it is obviously definitely more crowded. But, some rides are only a 10-15 minute wait, while others are more like 2 hours. The parking shuttle bus is extremely convenient! Although, I wouldn't have minded walking. It is warm today, so I'd suggest bringing a fanny pack with essentials like sunscreen, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. Crazanity was less crazy this time, and I actually fully loved the experience this time, unlike last time when I was in fear of my life and wanted to get off at the top. The line for X2 was listed as 150 minutes or so, but it was one of the rides that was closed or under maintenance last time, I think. And the line felt like it was moving and took a lot less time than anticipated. Justice League and Scream are temporarily being fixed today. The employees are friendly, helpful, and it generally feels like they enjoy their jobs here. read more

They have really fresh pizza and breadsticks compared to other Pizza places there. The rides are clean and safe we've been a lot of times and we've never had issues. Had not been back for almost 2 decades, and this Sunday was AWESOME! Staff was friendly, parking was organized, the crowd was happy, the Christmas lights were AMAZING ! So happy I got the annual pass for 2026. There was a special staff meeting that was helpful, cheerful and sweet. Here name is Vi (V), viper ride attendant. Look forward in going back. I've been a season pass holder for many years. Sunday was my first time visiting the park for Fright Frst in about 4 years. Sadly, it appears that the park traffic is the lowest I've ever seen. There were virtually no lines for the rides or haunted houses. The longest wait was about 20 minutes for a ride. I believe to offset the low ticket sales the prices of food went up. While you pay more money you get seemingly 50% less product. For example, a Dole Float was approximately $19 but it was extremely smaller than it used to be. See photos. Not to mention, the cheese quesadilla was the only big enough to feed a small child and that was about $17. Turkey Leg- We punched 2 Turkey legs. Something was very off from the start. We didn't smell anything cooking on the grill as we were use to smelling. Anyway we ordered to Turkey legs and they were dry, and hard as a rock. However, we tried to eat as much as we could until we noticed that we were eating raw Turkey. Yes, the Turkey on some parts of the legs was not raw. The Turkey Leg Skin was like Pleather, Meat in places was raw, pink and like rubber; turkey was also grayish, hard and dry. After discovering the Turkey was uncooked in places we threw it away. Anyway, I notified one of the workers and he to me to go to Guest Relations. About 30 minutes after the Turkey settled in our stomachs we all felt sickly as if we were poisoned. Couldn't get on another Rollercoaster. As we were leaving the park, stopped by Guest Relations to report the incident. They took down my name and email address and that was it. Long story short..... I came for horror nights and it was a good time. Lines was only 20-30 mins for mazes which is so great! Honestly the food lines are longer. The High octane wings line was about 45 min wait but it was well worth it. They bring the heat! They had a great show as well right in front at the stage so it made time go fast. Gotta love it here. Parking attendants are also seamless with telling you where to go and getting traffic in and out. read more

I have an immense amount of nostalgia for Magic Mountain, having gone here often as a kid - then bringing my kids here throughout their childhoods. I had been an annual pass holder for well over a decade and finally let my pass go bc everyone is just too busy to make a pass worthwhile (we had a crazy good deal on an amazing pass grandfathered in). We came here during the last day of Fright Fest 2025 for a last hurrah and had a wonderful time! Not having been here for over 2 years, so much has changed - all for the better. It used to be quite ghetto (rowdy teenagers, trash all over the place, literal crime rings running inside the park stealing people's purses when they are left on the side of rides - of which we were a victim too) - all that is gone! Tight security, no one is allowed to bring in a bag bigger than 12", chaperone requirement for kids, park is clean and well organized. Fright fest was SO much fun with great cast of people with great makeup having a good ol time jump scaring everyone! Food is still absolutely ridiculous ($16 for fries???) and having to pay for lockers or leave your purse out in the open for someone to potentially steal, sucks - but I guess the company is trying to make up some of the money from the lower ticket prices. I know the park is struggling so I hope everyone will continue to come and support it so it doesn't turn into a condo development :( Definitely look forward to coming back when we have the time! read more

Wow! It had been over 15, maybe 20 years since I'd been to MM! A LOT has changed! I remember when Colossus was the biggest coaster there and visible from the freeway. Now the newer coaster tower Colossus! They've minimized the wooden frame, integrated metal and renamed it, Twisted Colossus! My adult kids LOVE scary coasters. They said Twisted Colossus was the most fun of all the Coasters at MM! That is even after we rode Tatsu. I didn't get on Twisted Colossus because Tatsu was way too much for me--but definitely a must ride. X2 was closed as well as a few others which was disappointing. We visited on a Wednesday during spring break (April 2nd). If you are tired of the Disney crowds, MM is the place. The most we waited in line was 30 mins for Tatsu and just a bit less for Riddlers Revenge. There's also a large area for kids with rides too. But be sure to check the website to be sure this kid's area is open. If it is, and you have a mix of younger kids and older kids (adults) MM has a lot for everyone. There is a special rate through April--$45! If you pay $24 more ($69), you can purchase the admission/meal combo. This lets you receive an entree and side every 90 minutes! Drinks are not included. This is a great deal since most meals are $20. You definitely get your moneys worth. But, things like turkey legs and bacon/avocado burger is not included. Just stick to basic meal items and you're fine. There's LOTS of walking and a couple steep hills so wear comfy shoes. They have ADA entrances just visit customer service for a pass to skip the line. If you plan on getting on water rides, they have a walk-in drier for a cost. You can fit several people inside to dry from head to toe. It's kinda cool. Park closing hours are currently 6:00 pm. Get there early. By 6:00, you'll be ready to go home! It's an exiting and exhausting day. Most adult rides require a 54" height min. I think summer is a bit more crowded. You can even buy a pass that includes admission their water park! It's a great deal and STILL less than Disney. Depending on where you live, it can be a drive. You just need to plan a good time/day to avoid as much traffic as possible. I'm in Baldwin Park about 50 miles from MM. It took us an hour to get there leaving on a Wednesday at 10:00 am. MM IS one of California's hidden gems for thrill seekers and still affordable to take the family. read more

We booked tickets in advance and had a great time! I believe parking was $30 and we stayed at a hotel nearby so would've been cheaper to just Uber from the hotel and be dropped off. They have covered parking and there is a little shuttle that'll drive you right to the front if you're parked in the back of the lot. We went midweek and it was busy but not packed. There is plenty of screens that show the wait time for each of the rides as well. I don't think any of the rides had more than a 15 minute wait. Our kids had a great time on all of the crazy coasters. There's plenty of spots to grab drinks and food and the all day drink and food passes are great deals! read more

Visited Six Flags Magic Mountain on a Monday around 10:30 AM made the entrance into the park saved a bunch of time. Most rides had waits between 1-15 minutes. Six Flags MM is great for the thrill and fun of it. X2 stood as the top favorite of all the rides. However, I saw a recurring issue with technical difficulties. Several rides throughout the day were closed, and I even got stuck on Goliath mid ride for 10 minutes. Most of the water rides were shut down. Dining experience was better than expected, but thanks to my all-day dining experience ($45) that allowed me to get a meal every 90 minutes. Every meal ran for ~$20, the pass was a good deal if you plan on reaching twice or split with friends. Many of the dining options were closed and my favorite item was the chicken tendies. Worth to note that the turkey leg and funnel cakes aren't covered by the dining pass. read more

As a family we got season passes and it has been so much fun! Loving close helps and the season passes comes with free parking. We also bought the food pass which gives you two meals per day every 4 hours. Most of the food is good but we had one bad experience. The kiddie land is great for my 4 year old and my husband and I get to enjoy the big rides by taking turns. Coming here makes a fun day and I'm so happy we bought the passes. read more

Overall, the park was relatively empty, which I appreciated (Friday). We managed to get on most of the rides. Parking in and out was relatively easy. However, a friend was denied entry because of his shirt, which was a hassle. We had a couple of alcoholic drinks, but they were very persistent in checking IDs even though they gave us wristbands. I recently purchased a season pass, so I'll definitely be back. The food is typical of a theme park, but the rides are outstanding. Some of the staff members were very helpful. If you love rollercoasters it's worth going. read more

I've gone to every other theme park in California. As far as rollercoasters this park takes the crown without a doubt. However, when it comes to the cleanliness it falls in score. There is no mirrors in any bathrooms and on multiple occasions a shortage of supplies. It does feel like the park needs a bit of an update. The restrooms look extremely old and some of the infrastructure ran down. We had very good micheladas and ate the Full Throttle restaurant. It took a long time to get our food but it was still tasty. Last thing I will note is that the park lacked theme. There were little superhero posts here and there but the rides were nothing special theme wise. Even the batman rides had non functional TVs I could only assume used to play the old show. Regardless I still had a great time read more

We have season passes, took my oldest daughter this past Sunday for a final trip before school starts. We had a blast. I love having the season pass because it means free entry and free parking! We also have the souvenir bottle and get free refills all day long. So it is a cheap, fun thrill. It wasn't too busy and we got to ride everything we wanted. We will be back before the end of the year. read more

4+ Came here recently with family - for the roller coasters and for Fright Fest. in terms of the amusement park scale, this place is more suited for the thrill seekers and less so for the family (with little ones) fun aspect. The rides here are fun and much faster than other parks I've experienced...even if I felt like I may have gotten concussed at some point. My nephew is a huge roller coaster enthusiast and been wanting to come here for a long time. My brothers family came to visit and decided to come here as part of my nephew's bday. He was excited for the Fright Fest mazes as well. In terms of the Fright Fest mazes - which begin in the evening around the Halloween time of year - I would say that they have pretty solid and high production value. I like to walk through them and appreciate the design because I feel like I'm probably immune to jump scares at this point in my life, haha. But it is just fun to be in this atmosphere this time of year. All in all, we had a great time. It just happened to be one of the hottest days on record when we went so that wasn't fun in the middle of the day. I would also say that depending on what food you are getting, the lines can move a little slow, so just be prepared to wait a bit. The drink filling stations are very easy and if you get one of the refillable cups, you can pretty much fill up anywhere in the park. read more

Six Flags Magic Mountain is one of the best amusement parks in California. The park impresses with a large number of roller coasters and a wide variety of attractions for different ages. There are extreme rides for adrenaline lovers as well as calmer areas for families with children. The park is large and well organized. The rides are conveniently located, and there are places to rest and take a break between rides. Many of the roller coasters are truly world-class and provide very strong -- for coaster enthusiasts this is definitely a place worth visiting. The only noticeable downside is the very high prices at the cafes inside the park. For example, a hot dog and a drink can cost around $20, which feels quite expensive for such a simple snack. Overall, it's a great place for an active day out with friends or family. If you enjoy roller coasters and exciting experiences, Six Flags Magic Mountain is definitely worth visiting. read more

I love six flags it's my favorite theme park highkey. I'll gladly skip knotts or universal or Disney for the looney tune squad at six flags. They've stepped up their game with the Halloween fright fest and adding saw and the conjuring. The food pass is a good investment if you come a few times a year. They recently went solar with parking covers to help generate more efficient energy. Oh and they recently merged with knotts for a new tired member program. I've loved six flags as a kid and glad to see them still around, thriving, and expanding read more

Purchased the Diamond Yearly pass which is honestly a great deal. You get to visit all year and it's not too expensive. They do offer a monthly payment option which is awesome that way you don't have to pay all out of pocket right then and there. Our first visit (10:30am) we got on Goliath right away with no wait time. By the time we went to the second ride (X-2) we had to wait over 2 hours when we decided to just get out of line and go purchase the flash pass. The flash pass itself is really expensive but well worth the money (initial thought). We did have an issue where we went to the flash pass station and were told by the staff which pass to purchase after explaining we have the diamond pass and plan on coming the entire year. They recommended a day flash pass which we initially didn't notice was only for the day and assumed it was a yearly one. The second visit when we went to go redeem our "yearly" pass we had to go through this whole refund and recharge process to get the correct pass. Visited the park about 5-6 times in the year one of which was during fright fest (which I don't recommend, not worth what you pay for). The flash pass was awesome up until the last 2-3 months (holidays) the lines were really long even with the flash pass. We had to wait over an hour in line with the flash pass which is insane. I recommend you get in line while your timer is going down that way by the time you get to the front it's ready to scan. Every time we visited there was always at least 1-2 rides down or they go down while you are there. We did have an instance where we had to get off a ride due to it not operating but they did give us a front of the line pass for a different ride ( different than flash pass because you enter through the exit line), the staff told us to just pick a ride and she will communicate it to other staff. When we got to the second ride the other staff was really confused and kinda rude when we explained what had happened. He said we were probably just trying to get a free line skip when they were the ones who initiated offered it to us, we had flash passes anyways why would we want a line skip. The experience was great with staff, parking, rides overall up until the end of the year which it's not worth it anymore. Definitely recommend though really fun, I'll definitely plan on getting another pass in a couple of years. read more

Oh man, I've grown up coming to this amusement park. Ever since I was a kid, I have loved this place because of the big rollercoasters. My favorite place to eat is Munchopolis Snacks and the chicken strips are so delicious. X2 always comes last with a frozen lemonade before hand. Gold Rush comes after food, and Tatsu is arguably the best ride. Im saddened by the closure of the Elote stand in DC area, but I'll let it go. I love the Christmas lights and Fright Fest. Don't appreciate the clowns chasing me, but I guess that's their job. read more

Visited the park today after not going for a few years Maybe about 5 years or so. I thought the rides were still a thrill as they were a few years ago. We like to travel around the country visiting different Six Flags parks. We spent a warm fall weekend at Six Flags Magic Mountain and had a lot of fun. The park is quite large with many rides. Unfortunately several were out of service so we experienced long waits at the rides that were operating. Our favorite ride is the X2 coaster with a unique ride configuration that has you on your back looking behind the car instead of forward. You never know where the track will be going next so it is very disorienting but in a fun way. Food and beverage options were pretty much standard offerings by Six Flags, so they were not that great. The park was a bit dirty compared to our visits to other locations. Overall, we had a nice time. read more

It's worth it if you're going to eat at least 2 meals there. There are some exclusions I'm assuming it does not include Starbucks but I'm not for sure on that. It's about $20 for one meal.
Are water bottles like hydro flasks allowed?
I did see people with refillable water bottles last time I was there.

Yes you can bring food in. One day I saw a family bring in a whole cooler, the kind of cooler with wheels. I've seen families bring a whole dinner. But they do check bags, they won't say anything.
Is it less busy at evening or night? I've always gone in the morning and afternoon and it's crowded but every time leave, a lot of people are leaving too bc they're tired. Will it be slower at night? We're going today, Wednesday btw
We were just there last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each day we went in the morning and afternoon/evening. We would come back to the park at 5pm until 9pm and it's definitely less busy then the mornings!
