Love coming here for fright feast- the characters are fantastic! Great makeup/ costumes/ effects. The mazes are hit and miss. There's some good food options- just search! Parking- just grab the tram and park wherever. Always get the pass for here and hurricane harbor! Rides are awesome/ lines can get long, pay for the fast pass! Just had a thrilling Friday at Six Flags with the boys. One buddy hadn't ever been on roller coasters so we decided to start equating each coaster with different foods. Goliath is an asada burrito, just your classic tasty dish. Batman was like a pork taco, but it has pineapples. And Tatsu was like surf and turf, amazingly tasty. The cream of the roller coasters are epic (Full Throttle, Goliath, Wonder Woman, West Coast Racers, Tatsu, X2) and I love that they don't duplicate each other. Each ride has its own unique hook. And I could ride each a dozen times without getting bored. The problem for the park is hanging onto the classics. Riding Viper gave us whiplash. And Revolution was a hard pass because it looked even worse than viper. All told it was a great day making wonderful memories and just so many laughs and stories. I'll be back, probably in a couple years when there's a new coaster or two open. read more

Words can't describe how much I love Magic Mountain! This is my Childhood theme park, and there's a reason it's called "The Thrill Capital of the World." Every ride here is either the most thrilling, historic, or first of its kind. The atmosphere is unbelievably welcoming, and going on a Monday definitely helped improve the experience. No more than a 15min wait for any ride, and you pretty much have the entire park to yourself if you go during the week. Getting a season pass is the best way to experience any Six Flags park, because going at least 3-4 times in a year pays itself off. So if you're looking for amazing rides with half the wait time and half the price of Disneyland, I couldn't recommend Magic Mountain more! read more

I paid $42 for two slices of just ok pizza and two drinks. Six flags, you REALLY need to do better when it comes to food prices and food options. Beware! There is active theft happening at this park! On July 15, we visited Six Flags Magic Mountain. We always loved this park -- until this visit turned into a complete nightmare. During our time there, our cash, business card, and my wife's diamond necklace were stolen. I understand it was partly our fault for bringing valuables, but this visit was spontaneous. My wife's younger sister was visiting, so we decided to go for a fun day together. When we got to the Gold Rusher attraction, the ride attendant told me to place my small bag inside one of the black bins before boarding. I hesitated but thought, "It's just a few minutes -- what could happen?" When I returned after the ride, my bag was closed, but I noticed several gas receipts lying next to it. Those receipts had been inside my wallet along with the cash. I immediately opened my bag and found my wallet completely empty -- all the cash (around $800-$900) was gone, and even one of my business cards was missing. I asked the employees nearby if they saw anything -- there were three workers right next to the bin -- but they said they didn't see a thing. When I asked if they could check security cameras, they told me the cameras weren't working. We went to Guest Relations to report everything. Security was called, and we filled out a detailed report. They said they would check the cameras and contact us soon. We even went to the Sheriff's Department near the entrance to file a police report. No one from the park contacted us that day. Before leaving, we went back to Guest Relations hoping for an update, but it felt like they were just trying to dismiss us. The next day, I called again -- and to my shock, they had no record of our report. When I asked to speak with security, no one connected me. Instead, they emailed me a "Lost Item" form -- which is ridiculous. We didn't lose anything -- someone opened my bag, removed the items, put the wallet back, and zipped everything closed. The fallen receipts made it clear what had happened. Weeks later, after several emails, I still received no updates, no footage, no calls. At this point, I suspect an inside job, because it's hard to believe a random visitor could steal right next to employees, in broad daylight, knowing the cameras "weren't working." I haven't had time to pursue legal action due to my work schedule, but I now plan to take this matter to court. I understand the park's sign says they're not responsible for stolen items -- but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of security, accountability, or basic care for their guests. After posting this review on Google, the park finally contacted me -- months later -- asking basic questions. It was completely unhelpful and felt like they were just trying to cover themselves rather than provide real answers. Nothing productive came from it, and it was obvious they were still trying to cut corners instead of taking responsibility or resolving the situation. Six Flags Magic Mountain, you need to do better. Provide a secure place for belongings, ensure your cameras actually work, and train your staff to respond seriously when guests experience theft. To all future visitors -- do not bring any valuables to this park. Don't rely on their security -- because clearly, they don't care about yours. My grand daughter got her phone today. After I called their NC HQ, could not get to anyone to answer the phone just as the Valencia park. I then called their investor relation line and the woman there was professional and told me to send an email to them. I got a call the next day from the park and passed the info to our grand daughter. All good now . However if this simple problem was handled when she dropped her phone and it was in clear view from everyone (see, pics) it would have saved her 2 additional 3 hour round trips to the park and my time. The staff at the park did not seem to care according to her and her friends. Not good on Six Flags part and the other reviews show staff training and customer service is an issue for others hence my 2 star rating. read more

Super fun experience! If you love roller coasters you will love it here, however if you are not a huge roller coaster fan there's not much for you to do. Staffs were efficient, except for the accessibility office which took a while. Getting in was easy, reentering was easy. Fright Fest was fun, for something that is included in your ticket it is very worth it. My friend did get stuck on one of the rides, and their communication with her and us could've been better. Went to Six Flags over the weekend and had a blast- Been here multiple times & I always feel like a big kid! very year during the month of August, they have an event called, 'Out on the Mountain'. I like to go on this day bc it is a private event that you can buy tickets to, and the park is open from 6pm-midnight. It's so much better going at night and not being in the sun! Also, there is not that many people that go so NO LINES! We would get off of the ride and be able to go again without waiting. Best time to visit Six Flags! Had a blast! read more

Denying people with disabilities access to their medication is against ADA. It was ridiculous that I had to walk back my medication to my car after walking from the parking lot after already being in the park with it. For people who think they know ADA they should really get versed in it because they don't know a thing. What was done to me today was illegal. And second of all the security guard went through every item in my purse and couldn't even properly identify Glass. He for some reason took out my Dior lip gloss which it's clearly plastic, but left three glass straws in my purse. It sounds like y'all need some retraining or new hires. read more

Virtually impossible to reach anyone in customer service. No one at the listed phone number has the authority to do anything (they don't even work for six flags), and the live chat on their website seems to be all bots that ask if you've filed a police report(?) when you ask for a refund due to their mistake (employee at a different Six Flags park directed me to buy a dining pass for this park instead of the one I was at so I wasn't able to use it, and guest services at the original park claimed they couldn't issue a refund, but according to the phone number they gave me to resolve the issue, I could travel like 500 miles and spend $35 to park at Magic Mountain to ask for my $50 refund). Asking for a live agent will lead to two hours of waiting before they close the chat. The AI chat bot will send you an email asking for an order number or if you have any concerns, but any response by you will kick back as undeliverable because the "mailbox is full." Ridiculous. How does a major company operate like this? Do they have any actual humans working customer service or were they all fired and replaced by AI that cannot understand basic but slightly novel problems. Any real human would understand the issue immediately. By far the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. read more

I love the park but the crowd is trash.. Security and management are also poor.. After having a family of four cut the line in front of people that had waited 45 minutes. I confronted the father who then tried to cut in front of me. He then tried to intimidate me with ghetto violence. After alerting staff, they did absolutely nothing. Worse actually but I won't go into it. I would rethink bringing your family to a park that does absolutely zero when violence is brought to them and reported. Love the rides. Most of them open. Love that they have an app for waiting times but most cases its not accurate but expected. Glad they water fountain all around and some of them dispense cold water. Dock of a star because none of the restrooms have fan. None of the walkways have fans with water mist to cool people down from dehydration or over heat. I'm here at the park on 6/23/24 and the weather today is highest 99F but the only shades they have are food stalls which are also outside. I've been sweating nonstop and on some of the waits i feel suffocated. I think they should work on installing fans all around for people to enjoy six flags during summer. Wait times are not accurate. Im not sure how often they update it but two of the rides we went was est 40-90 but we waited less than 10. So don't rely on it too much! read more

Spooktacular night with Fright Fest Six Flags Fright Fest Extreme has 11 haunted houses and 9 scare zones, with zombies, witches and more. The Haunted Houses require a Haunted Attractions Pass along with admissions or just get a Bundle ticket that includes both. Experience chilling rides in the dark. There was also a DJ playing music. Some of the actors in the scare zone could have been better; not very scary. Some rides and food places were closed. The app is not the most accurate for wait times. They had the typical attraction food. I was a little disappointed that there were not as many spooky treats and food. They had blood bag cocktails and candy apples. Be prepared to do ALOT of walking and wear comfortable shoes. read more

I give six flags 5 stars. If you're looking for an amusement park that is not going to break your bank, this place is really great. If you frequent Disneyland, it's obviously much different but it is cool in its own ways. I'd say for now at least, this is a good park for kids who aren't really ready for rides. Their kids rides (in the kid area)are more on the simple side and you could definitely feel comfortable allowing your maybe 5+year old to go on some of the rides themselves if they meet height requirement. And then you have all the other great rides for older kids and adults who enjoy roller coasters and higher 1Magic mountain: There is something for everyone. They have a variety of high thrill rides, a few family rides that are moderate thrill and they also have a children's area with low thrill rides PLUS a play area as well (it could use a touch up but it's still really fun for the kids, you will need to make sure you are following your small child that is at least below 6yrs old) - Halloween: they decorate, and in the kids area they have performers with all sorts of tricks up their sleeves which is a lot of fun for the kids (and even me as an adult) my mind was honestly blown away that they did this at this place. There's a little trick or treat experience for the kids as well(very small maze) but who cares, all the kids I've seen love it. (Including mine) - live music at the food spot "Katy's Kettle" and they're there every weekend apparently. It's so cute and nice to have an environment at this park where there is live music being played while you're eating. They get the crowd involved as well, they're very nice. If I remember right they're called "drivin mama crazy" I also really enjoy their water park hurricane harbor and it's also a great family place. It's worth it to get the dining pass for sure by the way, and some of the food places you can order online, that helps so you don't have to stand in line. I recommend that even if your food order is not ready, still continue to stand in the online pickup line incase you need to ask them about your food and so you can hear them call out your order number there are some days that are better than others but that's just how life is. DO NOT PURCHASE THE FAST LANE PASS - apparently it was just launched last week and it is a COMPLETE waste of money! Magic Mountain has NO care whatsoever for the customer experience - they will take every opportunity to drain every penny you have - even when their rides are not working! My husband grew up in Santa Clarita and used to go to Magic Mountain all the time - he had such fond memories of the place but we had to take a break from going after we had kids. Finally, our younger son was tall enough and we decided to take him to Magic Mountain - it was our first time going back in years and we were SO excited. It was my son's birthday so we saved up to purchase 2 Fast Lane passes (we couldn't afford 3) so that my husband could treat my son to some fun rides with short wait times. The park tickets were $65 each and the Fast Lane Passes were $89 each! The office inside the park where you purchase the Fast Lane passes advertises all the rides it's supposed to include - there are 20 on the list so we thought it would be worth it even though it was extremely expensive. Once we were in the park it was just one disappointment after another. SIX rides were completely shut down: Viper, Revolution, Roaring Rapids, Gold Rusher, Superman and Wonder Woman. Additionally, 3 more rides were only partially operational, so announcements were being made that the Fast Lane pass wait times would be the same as the general line. Those rides were Justice League, Apocalypse and Ninja. That made for a total of NINE rides for which the Fast Lane Pass was completely useless!! Feeling frustrated after only being able to use the pass on 2 rides (Justice League and Ninja - and still having to wait the normal wait time since they were only partially operational), we decided to head back to the purchasing office to return the passes and ask for a refund. I asked them to scan our passes to see that we were only able to use them on 2 rides. We spoke with 2 customer service representatives who were very understanding and compassionate about our situation and agreed that a refund should be warranted given that so many rides were shut down, but they had to get approval from the supervisor. The supervisor's name was John S and he was the most cold, uncaring person I have ever met who refused to give us any refund at all. He said that when we purchased the passes we were informed that "ride availability is subject to change" - and he's right, there is a small fine print disclaimer under the list of rides. However, I explained that while I understood that ride availability would be subject to change, I also believed that the park would inform guests of any closures at the time of purchase - or list the ride status on the screen if they were closed. He said the park has no responsibility to inform guests about closures. So even if ALL the rides were shut down they would still sell you a Fast Lane Pass and then tell you "too bad" if you asked for a refund. This feels like blatant deceit and false advertising. The park is making no effort whatsoever to inform guests of ride closures, but will happily take your money to purchase a Fast Lane pass for rides that aren't even open. I literally begged him for even just a partial refund so that we could do something else for my son for his birthday, but John wouldn't give an inch. His attitude was basically, "Too bad, sucks to be you, bye." What started off as hopes for an awesome return to our favorite theme park ended with us feeling totally shattered. Sadly, we will NEVER return to Magic Mountain again. And to think, it would have just cost them a $178 refund to show that they actually care about the customer experience, do the right thing when nearly half their Fast Lane rides are closed, and they would have kept us as happy customers for life. But instead, they've lost us for life. Not that they care, though. In addition to the Fast Lane issue, the park is in a horrific state compared to how we remembered it. I went to Six Flags 1/5/2024 with a group of 6 people. We arrived in the parking lot 30 mins prior to the park opening. I would like to give 3.5 stars but that's not an option. Parking: $45. I purchased speedy parking online prior to arrival and printed it out. We went into the speedy parking line where the attendant scanned my printed paper and we were able to get in and park quickly. Entry: Since we arrived early, we waited in a jumbled "line" in the little area between the park entry gates and the metal detectors. We filled our stroller with snacks and waters and there were no issues with us bringing them in. Rides: A handful of rides were temporarily down throughout the day but they all opened and we were able to ride. We rode around 15 rides from 10:30am - 5:30pm. Cleanliness: The park is DIRTY! The walkways need to be pressure washed, most walls need a fresh coat of paint and some bathrooms should be refurbished. read more

Don't get the flash pass ! Two incidents 1. Absolutely none of the staff knew how to use or help with the flash pass everywhere I go. To the point hours later that's when I figured out I had to activate it. And EVEN when I did want to use. They didn't even scan the QR code 2. When I learned how to use it. The staff clicked on my phone and reserved Goliath for me when I didn't even want to go in it yet !!! So then I canceled that's when I found I was going to lose it and not be able to use it again. So I'm furious at that incident. An overall average experience for the wildly popular So-Cal based Six Flags. My favorite rides of the night were the Drop of Doom and Tatsu. As a season pass holder, would recommend going at off peak hours (after 4PM or weekdays) for the best enjoyment and shortest lines. I only had to wait 15-20 minutes for the best rides and would not be bothered waiting longer given the crowds! I will say this time and time again. They're right operate there's need more training. There should be someone outside the line to tell people which line to go into. They need to have someone at the front lines who direct the people to go into which number Q to go in for the roller coasters. They hired teenagers that are pretty much useless. The only employees we did see were just on the rides and that was it. The lights are around the park for the Christmas special was really pretty. The roller coasters were very thrilling. Even though the wait times were long on the app, they weren't that long in person. The app needs work because it's very difficult to use. I thought once they joined it was Cedar fair that they would get better. But they are not. I like how they're adding more attractions and taking less out. Their sponsors keep changing.
