Are here with family friends when we visited them and it was some of the best sliders and fries that I've ever had. Service was a little slow but it was because there were two huge parties eating right next to us. Was very family friendly and a nice place to eat with the blue jays game on and music playing. Definitely a must eat when in Victoria.

Cod tacos

We stopped for a late lunch on our way to the ferry back to the mainland on Friday. Pretty standard fare - lots of choices from falafel to burgers, salads to hummus and smaller bites. Price range is also standard for the island - about $20 for mains. We both ordered the cod tacos and although they were presented nicely, the accompanying 'rainbow greens salad' was haphazard at best. The salsa and guacamole on the side were both watery/oily which made the tacos drip like crazy. The tacos and fish themselves were fine, but for that price, they need to do better. Service was okay. Our orders were taken and brought over to the table in a reasonable time and we received the bill shortly after asking. Would not return here.

I was very surprised with trying this place out. The food is very delicious and the service is spot on. It is a little bit of an older looking pub though

The most delicious gluten free onion rings ever!

I can count on the 6 Mile pub to have gluten free with a dedicated fryer so a celiac can visit here with confidence and still enjoy fast food such as fish and chips and onion rings which is what we shared...plenty to fill us up with one extra piece of fish. All in all, a good choice. I gave it four stars because I think I may of had Basa fish instead of cod as it had that softer texture. Still tasted pretty good. It seems to me that last time I ate there, the gluten free batter was a little more puffy, rather than a thin crisp batter. It was still very good considering that gluten free with a dedicated fryer is not readily available at most restaurants. I did hear that Big Wheel Burger-has a dedicated fryer..even at Langford, but their trailer was closed on that Wednesday.

Visiting Victoria I am always iffy about ordering burgers because they can only serve them well done (I'm a medium rare girly). This burger just sounded too good. I did ask if they could not make it so well done and they were able to cook it a little less. I'm also a sucker for onion rings. So this burger screamed out to me. I do kind of feel like there is an identity crisis with the menu, it's got a lot of random things to choose from. But for a quick work lunch it was just what I needed. Quick & easy & I wanted a nap after.

I enjoyed my cod and chips. The mac and cheese was enjoyed by my kids. Be warned - a cheese pizza is just cheese on crust so its really heavy. Ambience wise it has an old atmosphere feel and the staff was great.

The Irish Times is such a fantastic find in a lovely part of town. We spent a great evening sitting…read moreout on the sidewalk, but the interior is just as impressive--a beautiful and historic building dating back to 1894 with very lively music playing inside. I was honestly shocked by how good the food was. I had initially assumed it might be a spot primarily for tourists, but a dear friend of mine who is a local mentioned that people in Victoria actually love coming here. She even noted that some friends from her children's school were there just the night before for an alumni weekend. The menu absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was blown away by the fish and chips; the fish was moist with a light batter and wasn't oily at all. The burgers, Irish stew, and shepherd's pie were all delectable as well. The real standout, however, was the sockeye salmon in a pesto preserved lemon broth--it was so addictive that I wish I could replicate the recipe at home. It is very easy to see why this spot has received so many accolades, and I would love to return the next time we are back in Victoria!

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

Ambiance was great - super warm and welcoming which was magnified by the host. Super lovely. Then the wait staff. Whoever is hiring/training is doing a great job! Not drinking right now but the cocktail menu was super tempting. Every menu item sounded great. We got some help on ordering from our servers and Tanya picked ones she had enjoyed before. We also sat right beside the pick up window so it was fun seeing food come out! The food was fantastic. See pictures for what we ordered. Not sure if I can remember the names of everything but it was a perfect combo!!
