We purchased a used 2015 Subaru Crosstrek at a local dealership. We asked Six Star Service to perform a post-purchase inspection, and they identified a number of issues that the dealer had either missed or ignored. Most notably, a bad wheel bearing, which could have been a major safety issue. Andy broke the bad news in a kindhearted way that reminded me of a doctor with a great bedside manner. This gave me the info I needed to negotiate with the dealer to replace the bearing. My only regret is that I did not go to Six Star Service for a PRE-purchase inspection. I'm telling all my friends with Subarus that this is the place in Atlanta for Subaru maintenance and PPIs. read more

I love this place! They always do such wonderful work on my Subaru. The Technicians at Six Star Subaru Service are all excellent. They only work on Subarus and are current and state-of-the-art in everything Subaru-related. Andy Paterson and Rob Hartle handle the customers and the front office. They are both so nice and so helpful. They keep you informed about your car while it's being worked on. If there's something new that needs to be addressed right away they immediately let you know. If it's something that can be pushed out to a future date so you can budget for it, they'll tell that as well. These people are honest and nice and do good work. As an older, single woman I really appreciate them. It's very nice to make a cup of coffee in their Waiting Room and relax and read a book. I no longer worry about my car. I came down to Atlanta to visit some friends and family and while I was driving on I-75 I got a low air alert and watched my tire pressure on one of my tires plummet. I pulled over and changed my tire but one of my bolts got stuck on the post and sheered it off. I searched for a Subaru shop and luckily found this one. They were able to fit me in even though I could only leave the car with them after 3pm and when I was expecting a very expensive repair it was an excellent cost, especially considering that I couldn't have driven back home safely without it! I wish I had a shop like this back home. They definitely deserved six stars from me! read more

I came here because of the great reviews, and I am disappointed to have to write this. The Subaru dealership service departments brought me here, as I have been through 4 of them. All strange and lengthy episodes of misdiagnosis at the dealerships. I am starting to question the 'best car to own' title the Subaru has earned, starting from the day I drove away with my brand new 2019 Outback. I brought my car in to 6Star because of a 'whirling' noise in the back right. Wheel bearings need replaced. It took longer than expected so they gave me a rental. Awesome. I think it was because they didn't get started with it so late in the Friday. 3 months later, same noise. Warranty! Bring it in. Except this time, they said it was the right wheel. But wait? The old receipt didn't specify which side they replaced?!? Even though, same noise, same side, I have to pay for another wheel bearing. And BTW , I report another noise, in the front (a rattle every time I roll over bumps) 6Star says it is my struts. Not a hazard at this point. But next time.... 6 months later. Time for struts. The rattle noise in the front is bad now. Bring the car in, new stuts. Oh and I need brakes. Needless to say, I have now spent over $3,000 on my car. 3 months later, same front rattle noise. They have the 1 year warranty so no problem, bring it in. But no rentals available, even though I set up the appointment a month in advance. I have to camp out at the 6 Star. (While I was in there, they offered a rental to someone else). It turns out the noise is not the struts, it is a Subaru Service Bulletin! Rob brings it out and explains, since so many Subarus are having this issue, they put out the Bulletin. (Note! I have had at least 3 of my Sub friends complain of the same thing) They don't carry the parts. It's not covered by warranty. I have to come back. Needless to say, I feel ripped off. Was the strut diagnosis wrong? Who knows, but now I have to pay another mechanic $100 just to look and see if all the work 6Star did was actually done. For those who made it this far, it is SUBARU SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER 5-88-21. Front Stabilizer Bushing. I was so hoping 6Star was the savior. Not. read more
