I've been missing buffet style places for awhile now. I was pleased to find the trusted Sizzler was still making it happen. This location was extremely clean and the food was spot on. I had a steak with shrimp and added the unlimited salad bar for a little extra (which was totally worth it!). They have much more than salad such as taco bar, chicken wings, soups, and spaghetti to bake a few. They also have delicious deserts. Jeaneen was out server and she was nonstop attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and made sure it was to our liking. Nowadays it seems you.dont see that often, but this place didn't disappoint at all. Definitely coming back and would recommend everyone to at least give them a try if you haven't done so already. read more

The food was pretty damn good (they could use a little work on their gravy sauce), the ambiance was awesome and there was plenty of space for our big party of 10 people. We went last June for my sisters birthday and this time, November, for my moms birthday- both times were a splendid experience. The best part of the whole experience was unquestionably-Chante! the lovely, kind spirited and fun waitress and our new friend at Sizzler. Both times, we we're lucky enough to go on a night that Chante was on shift and she serviced our whole party. She did an outstanding job and put a smile on all of our faces, especially the birthday girls. Sheila was an excellent server for me and my sister. We ordered a 14oz Ribeye and yam with maple butter to share. It was delicious, though a bit too much fat in the cut we received. My sister enjoyed the strawberry lemonade. Soft serve and brownies for dessert. It is a beautiful, newly remodeled building. We used to enjoy the one on Arrow Drive, but long gone. Nice to find this one when making a trip to Home Depot for materials not available at my local store. read more

I just wished they had at least 4 different soups. They always have clam chowder, chicken noodle or vegetable soup. I know it's not Soup Plantation, but at least change or add broccoli with cheese or baked potato soup. Because the vegetable soup they always have it's pretty nasty! Revisit this location on Friday February 21st, 2025 for lunch. I haven't been to sizzler in years. I was highly disappointed unfortunately . I ordered the unlimited salad bar and my son decided to get a cheeseburger with fries, however everything at the salad bars overcooked and dry and taste to me like cafeteria food at an elementary school The only satisfaction for me at the solid bar was the salad. My son absolutely was dissatisfied with his burger. I haven't gone to Sizzler in years, and the ones I went to were from NoCal. I thought they all left. When I heard there was one in San Diego I didn't hesitate to go! Outside looks really nice! Better than the ones I grew up seeing. Inside brought me back to my childhood. It looks the same from when I was a little girl (in a good way). The staff were all so nice and showed readiness to help in anyway. Our waitress was so sweet and checked in my kids multiple times and made sure they always had a smile on their faces. I ordered the salad bar and the food was all delicious, and everything was kept very clean and fresh. Usually salad bars or buffets aren't the cleanest but I could tell they made sure everything was clean. At the end my kids got a goodie bag for Halloween which added to the best experience! For many years, I have really enjoyed the Sizzler on Aero Drive and El Cajon. Unfortunately all but 2 locations have closed and, although it is a little out of my way, I found the one on Imperial Avenue and am so delighted. I get the senior salad bar and my favorite is the spinach and cranberry salad, as well as all the other great salad ingredients, the cheese toast, side dishes, and dessert. Major yumm! It is always clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Last time I had Belen as my server and she was so cheerful, attentive, and greeted everyone with a contagious smile. I love this place.
