Wanted to give Sizzler another try since the remodel. For reference we went after the reopened post Covid and was disappointed. Less food options and everything just seemed sad. Even the workers. The remodel really helped. It's nice, clean, and just better. Some of the food options that were gone before are back. Salad bar had good options with fruit, pasta, macaroni, broccoli and other salads. Hot food: the mini fried chicken i always loved, nuggets, spaghetti with meatballs or Alfredo sauce, tacos, and something else i know I'm forgetting cause i was full (sorry didn't see pizza . . Soups there were 3 (broccoli cheddar, clam chowder and veggie) Dessert had ice cream, 2 pudding options, churros and brownies. Soda is also self serve now. We also ordered steak and shrimp, because this was our trip back to see if Sizzler redeemed itself. Steak was great, cooked to order and the fried shrimp/shrimp skewers were great. The staff were very nice and attentive. You can tell they were excited for the new look as well as having people back. Overall very happy that Sizzler is back and hoping they do well. I have not been there in I while, a year or so, hoping they would be better but it was worse . salad bar definitely needs lots of improvement, nothing looks appetizing the creamy salads taste like premade cartoon meals. there was less finger foods at salad bar and were cold. soups were ok. I'm giving this place a 5 star not because the food was any good , not the ambiance was anything to talk and brag about . It needs a complete remodel inside out . I'm giving the 5 star for the service I received last night. Ramson I think was his name . Whoever is the General Manager to this store should resign . I can see they have great employees . What I don't understand is if they close at 9:30 , there were less than 6 people in there when we left at 9:00 ! Why was the lady filling every container at the salad bar , when I asked what they do with the extra food , they said they throw it away ! Great job to this corporate restaurant. Had the best night there this evening. Food was all great, but the customer service we received from our server Ramses, was exceptional! He was all over the place with his customers, highly on task, never skipping a beat with whatever we needed. Most of the time we didn't have to ask for anything. A few years ago Sizzler was out goto lunch place. Seeing the remodel, we gave it another try. Choosing the salad bar turned out to be a $32.00 disappointment. The clam chowder was more like tasteless potato soup. Third trip to the salad bar, the chicken had finally been served. I wouldn't give it one star if I didn't have to! The restaurant is DIRTY and smells awful! I got the salad bar and the lettuce was brown and limp and when I asked for fresh lettuce they ignored me. The salad bar was a mess, food everywhere and the floor around it was really sticky. I had. A great server though but 10/10 would NOT recommend and won't ever go back! The one star is for the remodel. It's clean and fresh. Unfortunately, they didn't refresh the quality of the food. The lettuce in the salad bar was brown and wilted. We had to dig to the bottom of the bowl for some decent lettuce. Selection in the salad bar was mostly premade cold pasta salads. We were also turned off with the other selections, chicken wings were overcooked and dry, taco meat was sitting at the bottom of about 2 inches of grease, the potato skins were empty the entire time we were there, except for the nacho cheese covered meatball that was sitting in its pan and a burnt potato end. The spaghetti pasta was dried out, as were the mini corn dogs. The tortilla chips were stale and the brownies in the dessert section were also dry and overcooked. Service was non existent. Our table was never cleared, nor were the tables around us after customers left. For the $15.99 they now charge just for the salad bar, I don't plan on returning. read more

The food was not so great. My shrimp was not cooked all the way. My boyfriend ordered the "lean" 8 oz New York strip that had so much fat and gristle. I also had the salad bar but didn't eat because of the flies! So many flies on the food. read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon and was hit right off the start that it is an extra charge now to have a baked potato, only because for years, a Sizzler in Fresno charges for baked potatoes. Man after 15 yrs as a cook and kitchen manager I am shocked by how bad this place is. I wish I could give no stars. Place should have stayed closed. I ordered a banana pudding along with my meal, which included the mac and cheese. All of the food was fine until I took a bite of the banana pudding and realized it was salty and tasted nothing like banana. I spit it out and took a bite of my mac and cheese and realized it tastes the same. I believe I received a bowl of cheese with vanilla wafers on top. hello, i just got done eating at the new remodeled sizzlers and let me tell you it was amazing. Immediately i got hit with this warm welcome by a lady named Becky, it was like if I got welcomed in by a friends mom. I was able to feel the love and joy she had just by her welcoming smile. she didn't just take our order but she also served us with Ramses. Ramses was working very efficiently not to fast and not to slow. he was very attentive to our needs. It was really cool, he just took my cup to get me water and as he was walking away, maybe took 2/3 steps, he heard the ice rattle in my fathers cup and he came back and got him a refill. Do not waste your money we went to eat there and let me tell you it was closed for the pandemic it should of stayed closed . Me and my husband ordered the salad bar totally disgusting the fruit was not fresh and the vegetables looked old . If you can avoid Sizzler I'd advise it. They appear to have little to no staff. Service is incredibly slow, most customers forgotten at the tables & orders not started or forgotten too. It took a half hour from the time we ordered/paid for anyone to even start our order. We had to get the table cleaner to stop & take our ticket to the kitchen. We also had to flag down 3 different staff members one of which I believe was the manager before a table was cleared for our use & they started cleaning the other tables. We requested & were offered cheese bread numerous times but still haven't received any. The staff here now are mostly polite but obviously too overwhelmed to get much accomplished. I don't know if tonight's sh**show is a onetime thing but waiting for over an hour & a half total & counting, to receive everything ordered is ridiculous & I won't be back. Racist establishments are a no go for me! Period. We're in 2019 about to be 2020 and I overheard an employee talking about that they are going to fire the only black employee that works there b/c of his hair that was underneath his hat and completely covered. I didn't even know the gentleman had hair. Didn't California just approve hair not to be a discriminatory reason to fire or hire people? The most disgusting thing I heard was that the owners believe that locs are unsanitary !!!!! Are you freeking kidding me??!?!! I will never - NEVER -NEVER eat here again nor will I ever recommend anyone to patronize this place. Unless you have true knowledge and understanding of people's cultures you should never have any prejudices against them. When the gentleman left he seemed very upset as if he was about to cry. A first time experience at a seemingly "dennys" style restaurant had my expectations low. Especially on a Sunday evening with multiple family members. Our orders ranged from a burger to a 8oz sirloin. My family and I were fairly satisfied with the food and the taste of each item. We indulged especially on the garlic toast which was better than it looked. The salad bar was slightly subpar but it had multiple selections which isn't much to complain about. As far as the service, our waiter Ramses gave the best service I've had in years. My family was pleasantly satisfied with this young man's mannerisms and politeness. Not only was his service top notch, he was also very humble not to accept a generous tip. Thanks to Ramses for making this first time experience a great one! We will be back. read more
