Amazing food. We had the short ribs noodles and dry fried spicy chicken. The short ribs was fall off the bone tender. The best noodles I've had to date. I cam here because the reviews were good. It showed up as a Korean restaurant. The food that was served was certainly not great Korean food. They also don't give you kim chi that comes beforehand. I had to ask for kimchi and they gave me one small serving of the cabbage with the red sauce. I don't recall what that's called but it was good. But none of the other things like the spinach and other vegetables I had the bibimbap with squid. The rice was burned to the bottom of the sizzling bowl, and the squid was breaded and fried. All things considered, I really didn't think this was worth the trip. Maybe they have other dishes that are better. If you want great Korean food, go to Arisu in Leominster. Food there is excellent service is excellent, and it is a very authentic Korean restaurant. And a much better value I might add. read more

We've been going to this restaurant since it first opened and was at the other location where Laos Thai Cafe is now. He's an awesome person and worked so hard to build his business to where it is now. His food is impeccable and you can tell that he cares about what he puts in front of you. I love the ethnic diversity of the food you can get from him ranging from delicious Italian pasta to bibimbap to Pho. And all the yummies in between. Yelp proves that good restaurants aren't always the fanciest or most well-known. We were in Lowell to visit the Historical Park and wanted something a little different. This had it all. We absolutely loved the egg rolls. Crispy with fresh ingredients inside. Yum. The bibimbap was pretty good too. My stone bowl wasn't piping hot (my dining companion's was) so I never got the full experience. But still quite good with lots of veggies and pork in mine. What's nice is that they also have a few Italian dishes for picky eaters. But don't miss the chicken wings. Love that Korean Fried Chicken super crisp. Service was good. Small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants usually serve the tastiest, most authentic food and Sizzling Kitchen is just that. It definitely doesn't look like much but hey, it's all about the food. At first I thought it was pretty weird to see Italian, Vietnamese, and Korean food all on the same menu but everything we ordered was pretty delicious. We got a little overzealous with the appetizers. Our group of 4 ordered 5 appetizers so by the time each of us got to our individual entrees we were teetering between content and full. The crispy chicken wings were so good! It's super crispy on the outside without being greasy and the meat on the inside was juicy and tender. It came with a side of sweet chili sauce that you don't really need because the chicken itself was tasty. The creamy mussels were pretty solid. They give you a large bowl of mussels for just $10! Very worth. The spring rolls are where the "Asian fusion" aspect comes into play because they were putting things like kimchi, avocado, and coconut shrimp into them. I could get down with their spring rolls though. I ordered the sizzling spicy dry quid for my entree that came with a bowl of white rice. Pretty good stuff. It's similar to the crispy salt & pepper squid at Chinese restaurants but instead of the salt and pepper they have it in this sweet, spicy sauce on a bed of onions, jalapeños, and bell peppers. I thought the sizzling spicy dry chicken and the sizzling shaken beef were just ok though - nothing to write home about. Overall a pretty delicious meal. read more

One of my favorite restaurant in Lowell, been here for a 2nd time and loving it so far. Tonight we ordered Seitan and fried chicken w/ honey siracha. Those were banging! Food was ok, it took quite a while for the orders to arrived. I had Pho, Sizzling Beef, and Chicken Wings, they were all ok nothing spectacular. When my pho arrived, the server brought the hot bowl right over my young son's head to hand it to me. Let's just say I was quite uncomfortable with that, accident can happen .. what if the hand slipped? A hot bowl pho would've pour all over my son's head. It's one of our new favorite places to eat. Unfortunately, the Italian food was meh. I've only dared to order from the Italian side once. I got the frutti di mare and it was very meh. Not only did a lot of the shellfish not open, but the pasta was overcooked. Granted, we always get take out so the pasta may have overcooked in the container, but they should know that. I was working with two other coworkers last night and at 8:15pm we decided to order delivery. I called and they said they accepted orders until 8:45pm which was awesome. Two of us got the sizzling beef with white rice, and one ordered the chicken pad thai. We were all blown away with how flavorful and delicious all our food was. After a long, hot day of exploring Lowell (totally recommend taking a boat tour, btw), Yelp led us a bit off the beaten path, and we found ourselves at this Korean-Italian (Korealian? Italrean?) treasure. The space is quaint and colorful, with plants adorning the sides and multicolored writing on the many mirrors around the room. We ordered thai teas with boba (a special announced on the small chalkboard on the counter) and an avocado shake. Slightly sweet and completely refreshing. Our server was amiable and quite funny, constantly reminding us that they "hadn't forgotten about us" and that our food would be out soon. To start, we split an order of the Sizzling Kitchen Spring Rolls, which were chewy and flavorful with a delicious dipping sauce. For my entree, I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap, which arrived "scalding hot" and literally sizzling. This restaurant's name is no joke. I had to wait a while to dig in, but once I did, I dug it! The runny egg mixed in with the veggies and meat in a beautiful way. I didn't find the pork or the accompanying sauce to be that spicy (especially since this word was in the dish's name), but a squirt of the sriracha on the table did just the job. It was a big bowl, so I came home with leftovers to enjoy another day. Unfortunately we were too full to explore the Italian baked goods which so temptingly sat on display. Stopped in for the first time after someone recommended we try it, and so happy that we did. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was so delicious and fresh. I had the veg chicken tenders with sweet chili sauce and I HIGHLY recommend. I could eat it everyday. Will definitely be trying them again with other sauces.
