Steak and Bulgogi with sides.
David D.

Having lived in Korea for seven years, I a was pleased to find a Korean BBQ restaurant near my place at the lake. Great find. All you care to eat BBQ at your table for about $30. I tried the steak, the kalbi, and the Bulgogi. There is a decent salad bar where you can find plenty of rice, the leafy lettuce, the raw sliced garlic and the Sam Jang sauce you need to accompany your Korean BBQ. I'd go with the bulgogi and the kalbi. I was lucky that Na Mi from Inchon, Korea was my wait staff. She took great care of me and had some solid recommendations. She made the experience enjoyable and more authentically Korean. The tables are perfect and overall it' was a great experience. Happy to have them near the lake. Take a group and try everything. You'll enjoy the whole experience. I'll be back.

This is a very nice place in Dawsonville, Ga just passed the North Georgia Premium Outlet. The place is a beautiful Asian building. Inside, there is a wall size animated acquarium. The place is nicely decorated. Our server is Super-Fantastic. Ivy is very knowledgeable of their menu items. She is very professional, friendly and authentic. She recommended the Shortribs; which is amazing. I am surprised by the size of the serving. Both Shortribs and Ribeye are full size. Not like those small pieces you get from other Korean Hotpot place. The buffet bar comes with different sauce, salads, fruits, deserts and other items. If you happen to be driving by 400 Hwy in Dawsonville, you need to visit SK Korean Stake House and ask for Ivy.

First time here. Came on a Monday for lunch. Excellent service- our waitress Ivy extremely helpful- we have been to other Korean BBQ places and they were good, but this is next level because you can go to the bar to get your own vegetables and sauces and side items. You don't need to wait on staff to refill like other places. The atmosphere is pleasant the tv is not loud. The restaurant very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend and my husband and I found a new favorite and will be back often! Oh food delicious as well .

My highly anticipated wait is over! A hot pot/korean bbq in the Dawsonville/North Forsyth area!! Finally, somebody put one here! The location looks like a former Ryan's steakhouse and parking is plentiful. There are grand opening signs around the parking lot! I came here on a Thursday early afternoon and there wasn't many people here. Walking inside, I was super amazed by the decor as they have beautiful sea fish background with cool lighting. The owner was at the front desk and seated us right away. Our waitress was super nice and asked for our drinks immediately. We opted to get the hot pot only ATCE and the lunch menu for $20 was amazing! Surprisingly, there is a large seafood selection which includes: clams, shrimp, mussels, red clams, and squid. As far as meat, they got your typical prime brisket. Soup base, I went with beef soup base. They have a sauce bar, dessert bar, cold food bar, and a hot food bar. I was amazing at this. Hot food bar included the fried rice, fried fish, japchae, egg rolls, and seasmee chicken. The corn cheese in the hot bar was off the chain! I loved it!!! I also enjoyed the cucumbers and seaweed salad here as wel! Let me say, there sauce bar had my favorite sauce (green lime sauce) and it was amazing! I saw the other sauces they had. Everything here was super tasty including the shrimp and squid. It appeared to Be super fresh! And dipping everything in my favorite green sauce was just amazing!! They also have an ice cream cooler that you have to check out. I didn't have any because I was already full from eating all their cherry tomatoes. Service was here was amazing as wel. She was super attentive and always checking on us every 15 minutes. The hallway to the bathrrom blew me away. It's a must to see for yourself!! I can't wait to come back again for their dinner menu and also try out their Korean bbq portion. I highly recommended everybody in the area to try it out. I know hot pot and Korean bbq is very new to the people of Dawonsville but once you try, you will be hooked!!

Wow! Great experience! SO MUCH food! We stopped for a bite and got a great meal and experience. We have had hot pots and Korean BBQ before but this is both. You can get the BBQ for $33 (adults) and the hot pot for $5 more. It was senior night so we got $5 off. We had brisket, bulgogi and pork belly on our BBQ with veggies and pineapple grilled on the side and I had Tom Yum broth and hubs had Kimchi broth with several meats and veggies in that. You get to customize it! They also have an appetizer/ dessert bar with dumplings, egg rolls, veggies, kimchis, edamame, desserts and so much more. Definitely going to be back and bringing some friends. Great for a night out! Service was excellent and attentive.

Great food, great service. The hot pot is a nice added touch. The restaurant is clean and the manager is very nice. Definitely I recommend this restaurant.

I found this place today--quite by accident. What a gem! The outside is relatively plain but the inside is phenomenal. Great vibe with lots of screens and wonderful visuals. Kind of like a little sports bar, a little hip/modern, and a wall of screens synchronized with nature scenes. The folks were super friendly and helpful in getting, cooking and serving the food. Price was awesome. The food was fantastic. It'll be hard not to go all the time.

Unlike a Japanese hibachi grill, there is no expert to cook provided for your table - YOU are your own cook here! My "date" chose the hot spot, I chose the grill. Both were all-you-can-eat servings which allow you to choose two meats (12-15 total options) and several veggies or sides from their long list (30+) of selections in each round (to limit waste, which makes sense). My favorite was the volcano steak, which included great seasoning and super tender meat. It's not the highest quality meat you'll find, but that's too be expected in an all-you-can-eat concept. The environment was fun except for the unbelievable large video screen on the back wall that is too bright and obnoxious like some digital billboards! The delivery robot that delivered certain items to tables was an interesting curiosity especially for the kids at the tables around us. The best part of our experience was the service, which was very attentive and responsive and included lots of instructions and patience to coach rookie like us to the this cooking concept. She also gave very helpful suggestions that helped us pick from the long left of menu selections. Fun experience although not cheap! We would do it again just because it's truly unique.

The grills are the best and fastest cooking we have seen. They also have hot pot for $5 extra - but we didn't want ANYTHING else - the Beef Bulgogi was SO GOOD. If you've never had Korean. For us, this restaurant is the reason to come to Atlanta :) The must-orders on our list are fish hot pot, green beans with pork, spicy chicken, and salt and pepper chicken. We've also had dan dan noodles, cumin lamb, and other menu items. All good! The entrees are large for sharing with a group. We typically order too much on purpose, so we can have another great meal when we roll into a hotel that night. This time we also had peach ice cream. It was delicious and it looked almost too pretty to eat :) And made for hands that get messy-there's a popsicle stick to hold it and a pretty base to catch drips. The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

For our broth bases, I chose the Mara while my boyfriend picked the Deungchon-- both were flavorful and great choices. While waiting for our hot pots and meat, I checked out the hot bar, which had side dishes like tteokbokki, japchae, fried rice, and more. I had some dishes from the bar as little appetizers, and they were tasty. For meats, we mostly ordered the non-fatty beef, brisket, and rib-eye. The meat quality was good. My boyfriend also ordered a round of clams and mussels. I personally wasn't too interested because they looked a bit unappealing, but he said they were okay. As a quick intermission from the shabu, we both enjoyed the shaved ice dessert. Unfortunately, near the end of our dining experience, while finishing our last plate of meat, my boyfriend noticed something crawling on the table. He lifted the water cup and found an inchworm. We think it may have come from one of the vegetables we grabbed earlier. We notified our server, who simply squished it and asked if we wanted a new cup. We declined and decided to leave. The inchworm incident definitely brought the experience down significantly, even though it happened near the end of our meal, and it honestly made me consider giving this place only two stars. However, I'm hoping it was just an unlucky mistake because I otherwise enjoyed 9292 Shabu and hope they improve their sanitation practices moving forward.

The Chinese herbal soup was really flavorful. When the meat was soaking in it, I could taste the flavor that was soaked through. I highly recommend this base. The spicy soup was extra, but the reasoning they said was because it's from China. And even getting the very mild was pretty spicy. The concept of going to the four fridges and grabbing your hot pot ingredients was interesting. It's such a waste of skewers though! But the fridge had veggies, skewered meats, seafood, noodles, and much more. Since this is an all you can eat place, you can grab any item freely. I do think they will charge you if there's excess food leftover. Well, says the sign anyway. The lamb and beef were the only two free meat options, but you can order this as much as you can eat. The brown sugar rice cake and crispy fried pork were very unique items that's also in the unlimited menu option. There was also interesting tidbits at the bar area near the sauce bar like beef jerky bits, peanuts, and sweet potato balls with a taro interior. Overall very unique ingredients you can order or extra menu items like pig brain, duck jelly, duck tongue among others. Our group didn't venture into trying these though. The ingredients already included were just as good though.
