My mom said this is the best burger she's had outside of Texas. The 3 way roast beef sandwich was delicious. I would absolutely go back there next time I'm in town. It comes in 3 sizes and I got the biggest one because it came on an onion bun. How could I say no to that? Look, I will prob be dreaming of this sandwich back home. Heck, I wish I had another one right now. I know y'all city slickers are used to places without restrooms, but it would have been nice to wash my hands after scarfing down this yummy albeit messy sandwich. read more

Back in the day, I used to go to Nick's house of beef and beer, but alas, it's no longer. I came across Skampa near my hotel and I was intrigued. I ordered a beef sandwich not knowing what to expect, but what arrived was pure deliciousness - thinly shaved beef piled high with bbq sauce and mayo and it's just as messy and sloppy as it sounds. It's like an Arby's sandwich without the horsey sauce but all grown up. Fries are extra and an order could feed a family. No booze so I had a soda instead. Skampa nails the North Shore style roast beef sandwich. Sliced thin, perfectly medium rare... great onion roll, great bbq sauce. It's a very specific style with it's own regional quirks. If you're from out of town, spend 2-3 minutes googling the style so you know what to expect. But, Skampa does one of the best (and probably the best) classic versions that you can get within a mile or two of Boston's city center. Great onion rings. Great fries. Great service. They even toss a little salad in with their dinners, which has always had very fresh veggies and a nice dressing. It's also worth noting that they make an excellent Italian calzone. Recently I've been trying the hamburgers in my neighborhood and scampa is surprisingly the best. The food is fresh. The burger is fresh. The size is big. The price is low. You really should be trying the burgers from skampa if you've never tried it. It was really easy to order online and it was ready fast. I love this place. I was in Boston for a lil trip and stopped by this corner sandwich shop for a bit to eat! And I can tell you - it was more like 5 bites to eat, the portions are huge! Skampa was such a great find. Why? They are extremely friendly, and their food portions are huge! I was in the area, craving a healthy lunch, and was really hunger and so glad I stumbled on Skampa. Excellent pizza--one of the best if not the best in Cambridge. I call them directly, they prepare the pizza in less than 15 minutes. Nothing crazy, just good pizza with good ingredients. They also do sandwiches, but I haven't tried them yet. read more

Got the cheeseburger sub, for $10 came packed with the meat of two full burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. they cooked it medium as requested and it was delicious and done quick . My friend got some kind of chicken goodness salad, He said the portion was good, the amount of chicken was great for the price. Will definitely go there again . read more

I ordered the ziti with meat balls. It was gross. Simply put. The meatballs are frozen and taste it, the noodles were mush they were so over cooked. The sauce isn't bad, but they barley put any on. My husband got the steak tip dinner and man was that a disappointment in a box. Skampa is so tasty! The menu has so many options but my favorite is the shrimp dinner with all fries which comes with coleslaw. The fries are sooooo good and flavorful!!! By far the best fries in Cambridge,Mass. The fried shrimp on this order is always done so perfect. I highly recommend this if you like fried shrimp. Make sure you ask for an extra tartar sauce because they have a pretty good tartar sauce with some mini chunks of red onions. Still great, after all these years. Delivery to Central Square was prompt, using their online ordering - ignore the pictures. Pastrami = Hubby Heaven. [lettuce & mayo] Super Roast Beef = Yummy, though not as much meat as I'd thought, it was still delicious. Roast Beef Sub = Delicious, and huge - be sure to ask for salt and pepper, with Bbq + mayo. Steak Bomb = 5+ stars, so good. Esp with oil, vinegar, salt, & pepper. Fries = Hot and perfectly cooked. Onion Rings - bland and not nearly as tasty as the rest - kinda flabby and oily, and strange tasting? Just order more fries. Grilled Chicken Heaven Salad = Surprisingly good, esp the grilled chicken. I feel this has not received enough mention in the reviews, because I was really pleasantly surprised by the well-seasoned grilled chicken that somehow was charred nicely but tender on the inside. It smelled amazing, taking the lid off.... And tasted even better! They are generous with their salad, and I will definitely get this again. First time here on a visit to Boston. Everybody (reviews) just raves about the Super Beef 3 ways, so I didn't really know anything about the rest of the menu. Got the Steak Bomb sub (cheesesteak + grilled mushrooms and onions) ... LOTS of meat (served with a fork) love the cheese when you get to the bottom! Several tables inside. Nice, small place with lots of foot traffic. I also got a to-go Chicken Parm sub and onion rings. Chicken parm has small pieces of individually fried chicken plank ... really great idea for extra flavor of the breading and extra surface area for the sauce which is perfect ... not too spicy. Rings were different natural cut thicknesses so some were thick like tempura, while others were more like strings! Love the combination. Bread on both subs was fresh and great without falling apart under the sauce/cheese. read more

So tasty!!! The reviews about the french fries are right! They're crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned so well!! My sister and I shared the roast beef dinner. Since I am vegetarian, I ate the onion rings and fries while she had the roast beef. The other reviews are right about the massive portion sizes. One complaint I would have is that it wasn't clear on Slice (the ordering platform linked to their site) that the roast beef was actually a roast beef sandwich, not just plain roast beef. The onion rings also weren't very fresh and definitely pulled the fries down. I would try to substitute the onion rings with more french fries next time. Overall - a tasty meal but the french fries are the shining star. read more

My go-to delivery food in Cambridge. I always get the same thing (chicken parmesan w/mozzarella sticks), and always enjoy it. The sandwich is stuffed and the marinara sauce is really flavorful. Also, being able to order from UberEats or carryout is really convenient. I haven't eaten in the restaurant before, but from the few times when I've picked up my order, it has a cozy vibe to it and the staff are friendly. All the plates were loaded with flavorless soggy fries and onion rings This place seemed to only specialized in their roast beef and pastramis so if you looking for a fresh juicy medium burger , do not go here. Or fresh seafood. Every this is just bland and not worth it Cole slaw was gross literally tasted like it was soaked and strained with Mayo water . read more

Came here for a quick bite with friends. We heard the roast beef sandwich was good, so we tried that. We also ordered a hamburger and some onion rings. The hamburger was my favorite. It was pretty big, juicy and flavorful. Good condiments to meat ratio too! The roast beef sandwich was good, but not so good that it lived up to the hype. The onion rings were quite disappointing. They were dry and the flavor of the onion didn't shine through. I might come back to try the pizza and maybe grab another hamburger. Went here today for a team lunch. Space can be a little cramped for larger groups, and we waited a bit longer than I would have expected for our food. Those are the only negative things I have to say. The food was really good. Well-priced, delicious, and enough variety in the menu (sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and pasta) that everyone found something they liked. I got the Super Beef 3 Ways because of all the buzz on Yelp, and it was fantastic. A tad messy, but worth it. Seriously it's like an Arby's sandwich on flavor steroids. Ordered a Pastrami wrap 30 minutes before a conference call from my hotel room about a mile away. It came super fast and I didn't have to interrupt my meeting to fetch the delivery. It was so good and prompt I ordered couple pizzas (Hawaiian and Pepperoni and sausage) for dinner. Food came very fast and it was still too hot to eat when it arrived. Delivery from Skampa has made our lives easier and delicious during COVID times. Everything we've tried is delicious, fresh, and inexpensive. They have a big menu with options for all the family. While I usually don't like salads from "pizza places" the salads at Skampa are amazing. My favorite is the "Nutty Arugula". The arugula is always crispy and fresh, they put a lot of almonds and shaved Parmesan cheese. The chicken broccoli ziti is a big favorite for my kids. We've also had, subs, wings, and pizza. Because the portions are large, I always know I'll have leftovers for the next day. The service is also very fast (we order delivery thru the Slice app.) Basically, I only have amazing things to say about Skampa! read more

Great place to order from on a busy work/school night. Lately, I've been ordering the Greek with a Twist (to which you can add chicken, steak, etc. for a nominal fee). It is huge and chock full of healthy stuff! I always have leftovers for lunch at work the next day, and then some! The roast beef sandwiches are flavorful and sliced nicely. I usually have it with mayo, pickles and tomatoes - and it is a generous portion. Other fun items are the pizza rolls, broccoli bites, and baklava. Stopped by for lunch today. All I can say is -- seriously RIDICULOUS roast beef sandwich. I got the super roast beef sandwich and fries and initially said there's no way I'm going to eat this whole sandwich. Then I took a bite. Needless to say the sandwich was gone within about 2 minutes (if that.) On it was: cheese, pickles, bbq sauce and heaps of roast beef. Great combination. The bread was nice and soft. The fries were pretty good too, nice and crispy and had some flavor, appreciated the tzatziki sauce that came out with the fries too. We came in at 1, there was no wait, food came out pretty quick, the lady in the yellow apron was friendly. The place is clean. They even had an HD TV hanging on the wall (wouldn't have expected that from a place like this.) I was immediately seated by an open window to enjoy a glorious late September day. My server Jackie was so very helpful. I asked her about a couple of things and she was spot on when she said that many people love this salad. It was beyond delicious and so perfect for a quick lunch. I opted for ice tea but If I didn't have more than a few errands yet to do, I would have loved pairing this black and blue steak salad with a Merlot or Malbec!! Close to the movie theater here so I am thinking great place for dinner drinks and a movie. Now that I found Salt + Sound I see myself coming here whenever I'm at Assembly Row.

The teriyaki-like glaze was a little sweet for me and I would have preferred some more spice to balance it out but all in all I was very happy with my visit here and would definitely come back.
