Unfortunately, my experience with a pair I purchased from Cowtown Boots in Tempe, Arizona, in February of twenty twenty-four has been nothing short of disappointing. I was on a business trip to Arizona and decided to pick up a nice pair of boots while I was there. I had been wearing Ariats at the time, but I wanted something different and knew Cowtown made their own brand of boots. While I hadn't necessarily heard great things about them, I was familiar with the name and figured they'd be a good choice. Nine months later, I'm regretting that decision. The soles now have multiple holes, and the heel flaps are coming off. For context, I live on twenty acres in Montana, but I don't do heavy ranch work--these boots are worn for everyday use. Typically, I get about two of solid wear out of a pair before needing repairs. Seeing these fall apart after less than a year of light use is shocking. I reached out to the store where I purchased them, and they referred me to corporate. When I called corporate, I was essentially told there's nothing they can do--no warranty, no acknowledgment of the premature wear, and no offer to make it right. They did offer to re-sole them, but only if I paid out of pocket. I understand no one can guarantee how long a product will last, but to hear "that's just the way it is" after explaining my long history with boots and reasonable expectations was frustrating. It's clear Cowtown Boots isn't standing by its products or its customers. I'm writing this not to vent, but to call attention to what seems like a drop in quality and customer care. For a company with such a strong reputation in the Western wear community, I expected much better. I hope they take this feedback seriously and reconsider how they handle these situations. Until then, I can't recommend these boots--or the company--to anyone who expects reliability and customer support to match the price tag.

My toe pain overtook my apprehension and I dragged my formally slender body inside. Monika came up to me and helped put my mind at ease. She spent time checking out what was wrong with my current shoes then took me over to scan my feet. Turns out my left foot is longer than my right. She started pulling out boxes of shoes to find the right fit for me, then we went through what colors I liked. What shoe companies I liked. I came in looking for a pair of shoes that would actually fit me properly...I ended up buying two pairs. One pair was not her store, so we arranged for the shoes to be shipped to my home. I was so relieved, I went back the next day, on our way out of town and bought another pair that I really wanted and my wife came in and bought herself a pair and sliders. Service was great. Friendly staff that love what they do. Prices were very reasonable, even considering shipping. Just go. Go now. You will not be disappointed.

Who knew that finding shoelaces would be so difficult? I guess I should have just gone online to buy them! I first went to REI and then Road Runners and they both didn't have any in stock, so I then tried this store out and they had a good selection of shoe laces, but also many other items too besides running shoes. I liked some of their apparel and checked out some of the hydration packs they have in stock. Three or 4 staff members helped me out and everyone was so nice and really attentive. One guy even tried looking up a hose I needed for my Osprey 3L hydration pack, but they didnt have any in stock or online. But, I did find a pair of shoe laces and I will definitely be back again for my running needs!

They are pricey but compared to other shoe stores that do not carry extra wide width shoes, I was fine with the pricing. After all, quality and well constructed shoes are always a better value and your feet will thank you. The Owner helped me on one of the hottest days of the year to date and I'm sure I tired her out with all the shoe try-ons but hopefully, she appreciated my purchase of not one, but two pairs of higher priced shoes.

I did research on reddit and this came up as a recommended store. Awesome. I looked at their website which says they have several steps they do with you. First they evaluate what your need is and the health of your foot, then they put you on this foot scanner, then they analyze the data for recommendations of shoe, then you pick your shoes based on the software data, then you use their treadmill to see how those shoes work. It was a long drive to this place but we were willing to do it because they're doing all this work to figure out your shoe type for you and we're like great. We know nothing about shoes, we'll get some analysis and some advice on what would be best for us as we're going to be spending a lot of time standing, walking and maybe running in them. There was no evaluation of our need. We get on the scanning device which provides more measurements than I could possibly understand along with your shoe size, and the pressure points and good points on your foot. The goal being to try to reduce the red areas or dark purples. The sales person starts bringing me a few pairs of shoes. They're all way too small. Turns out the scanner has me at one and a half shoe sizes too small. So much for the scanner. Another batch of small shoes is brought out that don't fit. Why isn't the sales person getting out the tried and true shoe tree that you put your foot on and adjust the heel and the width to get the correct size already? The other issue I have is there was never any linkage (that I was informed about) between the scanner and all its data and my arch, and my pressure points and the shoes that were being brought to me. Was the sales person just bringing the one size recommendation from the scanner, and none of the other data meant anything? I don't know. Ultimately they didn't have anything in stock that fit me, but one pair I thought might be okay. They didn't have any treadmill to try it out on. They didn't give me analysis like you pronate or whatever. So I don't know what I do foot wise. So you know what I did? I went online and ordered multiple sizes in a crap shoot and hoped one would fit. I found a size that fit this way. I still know nothing about my feet and what I should have bought. Oh well. All this stuff on their website did nothing for me. Take it for what it's worth. That's why I rate it a three. It was no better than walking into a Payless shoes for me or blind shopping on Amazon as no one provided any insight into anything for me. If I find something that seems to feel good, well I guess the shoe is properly doing its job.
