A bold claim, and yet they are one of a handful of restaurants in the South that could realistically make that claim. The brisket sandwiches are unbelievable, with your choice of the leaner, mixed, or fattier cuts. All are amazing and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Many delicious sauces to choose from as well. All of the sides are incredibly tasty, just how you'd like to see them prepared at the best backyard barbecue you've ever been to. My friends and I dined in, and there are only a couple tables in the small restaurant because they mainly do takeout/doordash orders, but we couldn't regret that less. Big Bull and Mama Bull each came out to check on us and chat with us at different times, and a server helped us as well. We had wonderful conversation. Because it is family-run and all made fresh by order, the wait can be a little longer than some places, but the food and care make the wait far more than worth it.

The string beans and collard greens were okay, but honestly, neither was anything special. The sweet potato soufflé was another surprise. When I took a bite, I tasted what seemed to be a clove, and I actually had to spit it out. That was definitely not what I expected when ordering sweet potato soufflé I am not a big fan of cloves. The muffin was probably the best part of the meal. It was hot, edible, and had more of a cake-like texture, which I actually enjoyed. I'm not someone who judges a restaurant based on one visit, especially since I've eaten at Kiki's several times before. But this particular visit just didn't live up to my previous experiences.
