In my first review I raved about this salon because of the quality of our cuts and then we had a not so good experience but knowing the owner cares and guarantees to prevent this from happening to anyone else and apologized and gave us our money back and offered to fix it means that she does truly care about her clients. My daughter 12 yrs old and her daddy went and had her cut there and my daughter came home crying because the woman who cut her hair absolutely butchered her hair. It was awful. I immediately reached out to the owner and said hey my daughter's hair looks terrible can we work to fix this, the owner never responded. I emailed and texted her. I know people will say your daughter should have said something while there well she is 12 and she didn't want to hurt the ladies feelings and didn't want her to get mad. I've reached out to the owner multiple times with no response. I ended up taking my daughter literally the next day to a different shop and we all stood in shock at the butchered cut The mane brand hair did on my daughter's hair. After my first cut and color with Susan, I knew I could quit looking for a stylist. I'd found mine. I recently moved to Kansas City, and have found that finding a new stylist has been the hardest part of the move. Based on a referral, I started out going to one of the best salons in southern Kansas City. I've been nothing but disappointed, here and at several other salons. I wasn't too surprised to have to pay more in the "city", but I'm really surprised that even when I paid 2x for my color, and 50% more for the style, I was getting styles and color that didn't even come close in quality to what I got at Panache. I guess I have difficult hair, with swirls and cow licks in difficult places, and very thick hair. Not to mention the fact that I insist on having a wash and wear style that doesn't require anything more than blow drying with a round brush. Susan was always great to listen to my needs and give me a style that looked great and met my requirements. Every time I go back to Michigan, I call Susan and ask her to do a "hair intervention" to fix the bad cuts I've been getting in Kansas City. I'm moving on to stylist #5 in KC, but I always know that Susan will be there for me when I go back in a few months. I've always felt it wasn't worth it to cut corners with what I spend on my hair. When my hair looks good, I feel good about myself, and project a lot more confidence. That's so important in this job market. My experience in Kansas City has really driven that point home. In the end, I spend more on my hair trying to get a bad cut or bad color fixed than if I spent a little bit more in the first place. When I was in Michigan I always felt that Panache was a good value, a good investment in me. After my experiences here in KC, I am even more certain that Panache is an excellent value, delivering great styles and color at a reasonable price.

My cousin also choose the candle option and she wanted French tip and no pink on her toes..... the woman who did her toes put pink and I noticed immediately before she had even finished paining her toe and the lady was like no that's your skin my cousin responded kindly my skin is not pink please remove the pink the lady was like it's not pink and I said it is and she got very irritated. We told her before she even finished two toes. The lady gets up comes back with the file to take the pink off and didn't say anything to my cousin after and you could tell by her body language she was irritated and frustrated. Anyways when she used the paint clear that Andrew did you could see the entire difference. Anyways, besides that the pedicures were good. From an HR perspective he should have been dismissed. He was saying you won't be here long and you don't know what you're doing, just sit down. But yelling and in a demeaning tone. Honestly, after being stuck there for 3 hours and me constantly reassuring his staff member they were doing good because it was the lack of communication and leadership from the owner. I actually wanted to leave but didn't because myself and another guest were standing up for his staff member. He literally belittled her and treated her disgusting. My girls never want to hurt peoples feelings but I will kindly ask for items to be corrected especially when the total was over $300 My daughter's nails were so bad she cried and begged me not to say anything. My second daughter pedicure was a French tip with no pink paint, they still did pink but she said I can deal with it but then her nails literally no words, I did say something like you need to fix these and he said I have another appointment and I can't and there on already so I would have to restart in that moment my daughter cried. I was livid and I said you need to fix them they look horrendous my daughter begged me to leave it, so I did. My 4 year old niece had her toes and fingers painted that's all they charged us $40 are you kidding me mind you we were there for over three hours because they overbooked I'm still upset about our experience and I should have not paid for their services but I did. I went back and forth with the owner for over 35 minutes because and I quote " all prices are different then the price sheet" my niece 14 got mani pedi for $50 nope it was $75 I asked why he said oh cause the person who did her toes cost different, honestly I don't know how this place is in business. It's not clean ( osha) needs to investigate without notice and the disgusting treatment of the employees is a walking law suit for harassment and hostile work environment.
