So I rarely write reviews because it take a lot to get me really excited...but Darcy is simply amazing! I Google'd 'Best acne treatments in Orange County' and her website was one of the first to come up. It said that she specialized in acne treatments so I browsed around her site and found that not only was the website super user friendly but so were the prices. For being located in Newport beach i was surprised with how affordable the services were. I was able to easily make an appointment online, i received a follow-up email reminder and when i arrived for my appointment Darcy was extremely warm and genuinely concerned with my concern for my sudden onset of adult acne. I had the Dadashie Acne Treatment which includes a cleanse, an enzyme exfoliantion, extractions, the Dadashie Peel, herbal masque, and ends with high frequency and LED light therapy. ($50) She then provided me with skin care products (face wash/night time acne cream) that was really simple and easy to use...not like the 5 step acne systems that any acne sufferer is so accustom too...it was also very affordable $40 it'll last you for roughly 1 1/2 -2 mo. These Dadashie products are like nothing I've ever used, and I've tried everything for my troubled skin from antibiotics, all the prescription topical's, over the counter (Acne-Free, Nutrogena, etc.) and the more expensive acne treatment systems (Murad, ProActiv). Within 2 days i saw dramatic results. My skin still gets a few zits here and there but nothing like the cystic ace i was experiencing before I met Darcy. I go to see her 1x a week to get the Dadashie Acne Treatment until my skin clears completely but I'm not embarrassed to go to the gym, to work or out with my friends without makeup on! She regularly takes classes on acne/ anti-aging, in order to ensure that her treatments are cutting edge and that her clients are receiving the best of the best. She is truly a miracle worker! I saw her for 3 treatments (purifying facial) during a one week period... *let that sink in* ONE WEEK...!!! I purchased a package of peels Darcy donated for the silent auction at the Pink Tie Ball for Susan G. Komen for the Cure in April. I had wanted to try a peel and thought this was a good opportunity to try and benefit a great cause. I was so pleased when I met Darcy = warm, caring and has great skin ( a very good sign). What can I say I heard girls like that stuff. Skin by D is great!. Darci, the owner is a young spirited skin enthusiast. Before we began treatment she said I couldn't go in direct sunlight during long periods for the next two days. I told her I surf so that's impossible. She was very flexible and said she'll just do a combination of other acne treatments. Hey fine by me, treat that acne. My girlfriend did the other treatment. During the treatment, Darci recommended other products that would be better than my Pro Activ system, however she never pressured me to buy it. She even complimented my skin instead of saying how bad it was. Not I need this and that to fix it. Since I was with my girlfriend I asked Darci what creams should I get her. Darci honestly said my girlfriend didn't need any but some moisturizer she can get at the store. Me on the other hand, I bought two products that were $50 total, that would last me for a few months. Darcy is very sweet, and makes you feel very comfortable. She was very thorough at the initial intake, and answered all of my questions. My skin tends to be very congested and I am prone to breakouts. I hadn't had a facial for a couple of months before going to her, so I was looking forward to my appointment. I had presumed she would be doing cleansing and extractions, as my skin desperately needed it. She did cleanse my skin, but did no extractions whatsoever. She applied and removed several serums and other treatments (I cannot remember what she called it).) When I left, my face seemed clean, but didn't have a glowing look as I typically have after facials. Although she was nice, I won't be returning.
