I visited Skin Day Spa over five years ago for a facial. It was... fine. Not memorable in the slightest--neither good enough to rave about nor bad enough to inspire rage. I never went back, which seemed like a natural conclusion to a meh experience. But Donna Early with Skin Day Spa had other plans. Since that solitary appointment, she has relentlessly spammed me with "special deals and pricing." Text after text. Month after month. Year after year. I've politely asked to be removed from her list, and she promised to stop. Spoiler alert: she hasn't. What's even more maddening? There's no way to unsubscribe unless you count begging Donna to show mercy. Here's my suggestion: if you love mediocre facials and want a permanent pen pal in the form of relentless text spam, Skin Day Spa is the place for you. Horrible experience in trying to schedule an appointment in 4 months. No one picks up or return calls. The office also marked my Groupon voucher worth hundreds of dollars as "used" before expiration and although I never step a foot in their office! I spoke with one of the owner who was unapologetic and to this day, I gave not received a refund. Terrible customer service for the top to the bottom. Amazing!! I got my hair ombré balayage by Christi and I absolutely love it! The salon itself looks so cute! Right when I walked in I was greeted by her and started. I'm glad she isn't one of those hair stylists who just does your hair then you leave. She actually talks to you and gets to know a bit about you! I already loved her for that plus she wasn't rough with my hair like other stylist are so that's a major plus! A bit of a warning for those who hate cats or are allergic.. They do have a cat roaming around who's super friendly. Being a cat person I loved it, she even sat in my lap while I was processing my hair :) Christi is one of the best if not my favorite hair stylist I've ever been to. I met Chelsea through her husband in 2016 and i have been coming to Skin Day Spa for the last 7 years, I won't go anywhere else. I give out treatments to clients (I work for a Luxury Real Estate Brokerage) and my clients have all told me they love coming to Skin Day Spa. I have also used Groupons from time to time and have never been unhappy with them or their services or the customer service they give. Almost drove by the place, as it is very unassuming. But the inside is nice and relaxing. My partner and I went in for men's facials. They have a darling kitty named Maggie that kept me company while I waited for my facial. Excellent facial by a sweet and professional person. Reasonable prices. Nice staff. No hard sales pitches. Just great people who care about thier clients. They have a great deal where you can sign up for a membership and get a facial every month for a discounted price. Nice! These technicians are NOT trained! DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Got a Groupon for the IPL photo facial, I went in for my consultation and "test spot" on my neck and it blistered, scabbed, and scarred. It's my new "permanent hickey" as my friends call it. I called the owner when I arrived home to see a massive blister on my neck to ask if this was normal and she did not apologize or offer anything. Immediately had to run to CVS to buy $60+ of scar preventing treatments... Very bad customer service but most importantly, NOT safe. read more

Great local place for a massage. The massage therapist was attentive and very focused on the areas I have the most tension. The spa has a relaxed set-up and a very welcoming staff. I would love to brag on this gem I found recently. I have been there 4 times and have gotten two facials by Lisa, skin services by Donna and a blow dry. First off, when you walk in, you feel instantly relaxed. I have frequented a lot of spas in my day so I'm quite picky. The way it is appointed creates such a warm ambiance. There is a beautiful backyard that has an inviting hot tub. It provides a lot more services that I have not tested yet but look forward to it! The price point is fantastic and they don't push services or products on you like a lot of places. I love this place !! Haven't been to my latest appointment and I don't believe I'll be returning. While I had a great service, facials and Botox and also lip filler along with referring other clients, it's not enough. Which is also integrated my decision not to return. From my experience I've noticed that you won't get the same elites greeting or welcoming if your not full blonde and blue eyes American middled aged men or woman. Be prepared to notice how they offer wine/ seltzer's drinks etc. to everyone else who isn't described as above. Along with other small noticiable treatments. I'll say that if your looking somewhere to be welcomed and treated well but most importantly EQUALLY, this is NOT the place. Because after all I'm spending a pretty penny, none of my personal treatments were under 150. I was super excited to find a local salon, but this place is a JOKE or at least Jessica the lady who performs the IPL laser photo facial is. I made an appointment for a derma planning face treatment to be followed by an IPL facial; however, when I arrived they only had me scheduled for the derma planning. So, no big deal I didn't mind rescheduling for another day because I preferred to do them in the same visit. The problem starts with the fact that no one offered to reschedule my appointment nor tell me that Jessica will or won't be making time for me. They just keep repeating that I'm not scheduled for both, no apology for the mistake, and did I want to go ahead with the derma planning? My response every time was it depends on what Jessica the IPL lady recommends. And what I mean by that is that you have to consult with Jessica and possibly do a test spot before she will give the okay for the IPL treatment. Therefore, my main reason for trying the salon out was contingent on if I was eligible to have that done. When Jessica calls me back she informs me again that I'm not on her schedule. So, I'm wondering if this is a meet and greet or if she's going to test a spot to determine if I will be setting up a future appointment or if I'm not a candidate in her opinion then I can get a refund from Groupon. She babbled a little bit about what the laser does as if I didn't know what I was there for or bought the Groupon for. She insisted that I could still have the derma planning treatment, which was fine, but I stated previously what my goal was. Finally, I informed her that she's told me at least 5 times that I could keep the derma planning appointment, and since I'd rather not lets move on.... And is she going to proceed with a test spot or might I be rescheduling for that as well? I wanted to be direct and get to the point versus wasting anymore of either of ours time. She didn't take kindly to my directness and I was sick of listening to her babble. I work in health care and she wasn't coming across very educated or confident with her communication skills and use of the IPL machine. She proceeded to push for me to get a refund from Groupon. I was hoping to salvage this appointment and a future visit by implying that the refund process may be difficult. However, she was happy to let me know that it can be a very simple process! After, that I could only conclude that she just didn't want to work with me. I asked her if she was trying to steer me in the direction of a refund because she didn't care for me and didn't want me to return? As to no surprise her response was that we weren't a good fit! Advice everyone should know is that you don't want someone providing a service for you if they don't like you especially if it involves your face. In conclusion, I'm disappointed to say that this won't be a place I want to revisit. I was skeptical of the generous Groupon offering for the IPL photo-facial, but after meeting Jessica I understand.... read more

STEER CLEAR. This place is run by someone who does not have the slightest clue what customer service is or how to run a business. Made me come in for a test patch for an IPL (which was not made clear prior to buying the Groupon). She was running late so I sat there for over 30 minutes. Next appointment, it was pouring down rain and I was stuck in traffic and 15 min late. Once I had already spent 15 min driving there, they called and canceled my appointment. Apparently it's perfectly fine for them to make me wait for no reason (which I never complained about), but God forbid anyone else is a few minutes late. Communication is a disaster. If you complain, the lady just gets really defensive and says she "wont be talked to like this." Save your money and go somewhere that cares about their customers and knows how to be polite! There are so many good spas in Houston....this is not one. read more

I came in on October 2, 23 and 30th for permanent makeup with Darla. She was very good and persistent on getting the exact color and shape I desired. I highly recommend her. I decided to inquire about laser hair removal and a facial while I was there. As I was checking out on October 23rd, I scheduled with Jessica to have laser hair removal. I clearly informed her multiple times I had 3 areas treated-under arms, bikini and legs for laser hair removal. I only did 5 treatments on my legs and need more. On November 7th I get in the room and all she did was a one min. skin test on me and said I could come back next week for laser. SERIOUSLY? I have never had a reaction to laser before! If this was Jessica's protocol, why did she not offer to do the one minute test on October 23 or 30th when I was standing in front of her scheduling my appointment or at least inform me that she is only going to do the test first instead of waiting until November 7th for me to find this out? I had all my other laser hair removal treatments at a doctor's office and will continue that way! I rather pay more and get my $ worth and be happy. This is like going to a doctor with a fever and he tells you to come back next week to get meds. I was very upset! I would have been really pissed if I drove 70 miles just for a one minute test when I had anticipated my full laser treatment on my legs. Good thing I was there getting permanent makeup and did not drive there just for Jessica. Needless to say, I refuse to drive back there for any laser, facial or other spa treatment. I had 4 other friends interested in scheduling appointments, but they will be following me to this other spa in The Woodlands. I already booked a facial and laser hair removal with another spa. It's very nicely decorated, but this one incident cost the owner loss of business. Many women do these spa treatments around special events. Jessica may think it is ok to push back my laser hair removal appt., but it is not. I planned it all out that I would have 2 sessions of laser and 2 facials prior to moving out of state. read more

The first consultation - we tested a small area on my hand so that I can feel how the laser will feel like. She is awesome! I've only had 2 treatments and already loving it. Skin Day Spa recently opened in the Heights and is currently running multiple specials. I went by and tried their 1-HR massage with wine for $50 and found the service to be excellent. My therapist had firm hands and was able to deliver a very relaxing massage. The establishment is quaint and well designed. Skin is a boutique spa with salon and facial services. The location is convenient and the staff is friendly. I definitely would go back again and support this local business. read more

She took the time to study my face and coloring, measure, check, and recheck until everything was exactly right. And that was all before the tattooing began! I found this hidden gem on Groupon and I was so happy to be treated like any regular client. I've noticed that most places aren't as willing to go the extra mile when you have one. Lisa was super nice! She has a very gentle touch which helped me be less jumpy when she touched my face. She made good conversation too. The products she used were quality. A little too strong for my skin though. I broke out a couple days later. She finished with a tinted moisturizer that I absolutely loved! I bought a bottle and now I can't go without using it.
