I tried an ultherapy procedure today and while it was a 6/10 on the pain scale- Angelina's encouragement and warmth helped the time pass quickly. I've been to a few med spas over the years (in different cities/states) and I'm especially impressed with this med spa. What I'd like to do is become independently wealthy so that I can come here weekly for a massage from Laurie and a facial/microderm from Cathy. Both of these professionals were incredible-knowledgeable, thoughtful and very skilled. They will frequently have specials so you can try them out and then you're hooked, caught 'em, cooked 'em, cleaned 'em-style. I initially tried a facial then returned for microderm. They offered me a deal on a massage and I couldn't say no. I have had many good massages in my life but Laurie (right now Thursdays only) honestly ranks in the top 5. It was so vague and difficult to get the first time client price even though it's clearly stated on their website. I booked an integrated facial, and had high hopes for "Seattle's best facial," however I felt like the bare minimum was done. It was lazy compared to their description, which was really hyped up. I was really excited to finally get my first facial at Skinlogic. My boyfriend use to go here for facial treatments when he was a teenager and always talked about how great of an experience it was. Booking an appointment was effortless. Scott was very helpful especially when I had asked about the new client offer they were promoting. The spa was clean and the front desk receptionist is very friendly. Kaylea was my esthetician. She was very knowledgeable and explained to me how the process will be. My skin is very sensitive and most products I use will tend to irritate right away. Kaylea made sure that all the products she used would be safe to use on my skin. Dermaplaning was an add-on I decided to do. It's basically a exfoliation on the face using a medical grade razor. After the treatment, we did a hydrating mask and then followed with skincare. After the facial, Kaylea recommended some products and even gave me some samples to try. My skin never felt so smooth and glowy. Granted it was a little raw right after, but that's just because I took a chunk of dead skin off my face. Peeling is expected, but since this was my first facial, I was a little worried about it. I had reached out to Scott and Kaylea a couple days after my facial and they replied right away with suggestions and what to expect the next coming week. They were very helpful and reassuring that everything was normal. After a week, my skin results were amazing. My skin is smoother and I feel that my skincare products work better as well. I will definitely be coming back for more facials in the future. The service they provided was excellent and I can't recommend it enough. I had botox on my forehead one week ago, the doctor injected more than I need, so my eye brows dropped， and my eye balls felt a lot of pressure and sore... I am really regret that I spend $200 on this. After the botox, the next morning when I woke up my eyes swelled a lot，and it was painful when I roll it, I don't know why. I felt headache on my forehead, is just the worst experience ever. I don't have wrinkles between my eyebrows, but the doctor still injected that area. Oh my god.... Now I dont know what to do with my eyes.I cant open them very well, and because my eyebrows dropped, my eyelid dropped too. I looked so weird and ugly now. read more

I went in to the office for a facial and a Botox consultation, so I could figure out if I wanted to move forward with Botox at a later date. The facial was amazing, and it really helped my skin. The consultation with the doctor went poorly. She was not warm or inviting when I walked in the room, and she assumed I was there to get Botox that day (so clearly there was a miscommunication), so I told her I was only there for a consult, and she was angry and even more unapproachable. It wasn't a good experience with the actual doctor, so I'm unsure if I will be proceeding with them. read more

I've been coming to Skinlogic Med Spa for facials for several years now, and always look forward to some pampering. About 7 years ago, I was experiencing a strong flare up of hormonal acne. Skinlogic introduced me to Dermalogica, which was a calming approach to treating an aggressive affliction, and it did the trick. With regular facials and a customized skin care routine, I was able to combat the acne topically. Even though acne can make a person extremely self-conscious, I always felt welcome and comfortable with everyone at Skinlogic, it was my 'safe zone.' Update - I quit going to SkinLogic 5 or 6 months ago - as they have raised their prices to ridiculous levels and lost much of their customer service that made it such a great experience in the first place. I have seen them change from a small, gracious store, to one who has let all of their 'Best in Seattle' votes go to their heads. I went there religiously since I moved to Seattle a few years ago, yet I was still treated like I was some unknown, brand new client, when I had problems arise. Last year, I was in a small fender bender on the way to an appointment, and promptly called to let them know what happened. At that point I'd had monthly facials for over a year and they *still* charged me the cancellation fee. It's not like I just ignored the appointment, or blew them off, I was on the side of the road, and was an extremely loyal client! The last straw came when I scheduled a service this past spring, and specifically asked when I called in if I could use a store credit I had in exchange for the service. The receptionist told me 'yes' and made a note in my account. *After* I had the service, they told me it was against store policy to allow credits to be used in that way, and expected me to pay. Even though I called in advance to ask, was told yes, and had an affirmative note in my account.* How much money have I paid you people over the last several years?! I'm not a gillionaire - and am not going to pay you to be snooty to me. I genuinely miss my esthetician, but I'm not going to put up with stupid office politics and new-found bureaucracy to have someone rub cream on my face. TIP: What I do now is drive to Renton and pay half as much ($40) for a facial that's 30 min LONGER (90 min) at the Euro Institute. Yes, a student will be doing your facial, and it will probably be in a room with other people getting facials...but it's an hour and a half for $40, and my results have been just as good as SkinLogic's! Not very satisfied with the customer service at Skinlogic. I purchased a LivingSocial deal to use at Skinlogic, and tried to make an appointment on 3/21/2011 for 4/9/2011. I was informed that because I was a "coupon customer" that the first available appointment would be 5/8/2011, 8 weeks in advance! They gave an excuse that they had to think of their regular customers. I don't know, having a 2 month waiting list to get a service I've already paid for doesn't seem like a good way to convert me into a regular customer. I'm of the belief that, if I have the moola and the time (but mostly the moola) - it helps to do stuff, like occasionally have a professional take care of my skin and set me on the right path with good skin care products and advice. So, since the tender age of 21 (The Acne Years), I've been getting facials regularly in Vancouver, Asia, and now Seattle. And in North America, the best place I've found for getting a clinical facial is at Skinlogic with Kim. I've been going to Skinlogic half-heartedly right around when it first opened, but didn't think much of the place till fate stuck me with Kim. Kim is both professional and knowledgeable and her extractions are the most painless I've had. I've read some of the reviews on here, and I don't know if people are familiar with the term EXTRACTIONS - the process of squeezing out blackheads and pimples from your FACE, which has a lot of nerve endings - but extractions are not supposed to be as sweet and happy as holding a small fluffy bunny rabbit. But with Kim's extractions, I can actually envision myself petting a bunny rabbit, instead of wishing for the sweet hand of death to take me to a land where there is no pain. The services I've had here -- Glow treatment Microdermabrasion Glycolic Vitamin C Regular, good 'ol facials with the hand pampering I've never felt the pressure to purchase any products, even though they are suggested (and may or may not work for me, as I've learned from trial and error). The Rhonda Allison line in particular is hit or miss. I've also been recommended products which are NOT sold at Skinlogic, but are just darn good for my face. So I know my esthetician is looking out for me and not for the company's bottom line. The only reason why this isn't a 5-star review is because of Owner Colleen F's response to some of the more negative reviews. While I've never had any run-ins with Skinlogic's customer service and I don't operate a day spa (but I do own a business), I found her comments unpleasant and unhelpful, somewhat justifying the negative vibes that are levied against Skinlogic. I just hope I won't be on the receiving end of the bad jujus in the future. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Skin Logic with Amy Starr. She and all staff I interacted with were welcoming and gracious. Amy especially was very personable and had such a calming spirit - which is important when it comes to waxing. I highly recommend Skin Logic for waxing. For your first wax you get a 50% discount and after that Monday through Friday between 4pm and 7pm you get 25% off. Other businesses don't hold a candle to that deal. I LOVE the ladies at Skinlogic! They are professional, helpful, and never make me feel like the skincare idiot I am. I'm not the kind of person that goes to hair salons or nail parlors, and certainly not spa-like places. However, my impending wedding and the related stress was just too much on my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I am also cheap- I don't like paying alot for things- especially in the name of beauty. So, I did some cost comparisons of what skin care services should cost before considering the idea more seriously. Extremely hesitantly I walked into the shop for the first time in August, only to be greeted by very friendly staff and had a consultation with Kia. She was great as I listed my top 3 concerns that I wanted to resolve before the "big day" in November. She explained what could be done, what she suggested, and left it up to me to make an appointment. I never felt pressured and went home armed with information. Over the past few months I've had facials, back treatments, and a skin tag removed- all went very very well! I assumed that having a facial meant I'd have burning, red and irritated skin but that has never been the case. My skin is always smooth and velvety when I am done- and I am more relaxed thanks to the spa-like rooms. I have also found their skincare product advice very helpful. I've never felt pressured to buy their products and they have always been extremely generous in handing out samples of things. I've bought a wash and moisturizer from them, both of which I am very happy with. I also compared the product prices with Sephora and Skinlogic either has the same price or a couple bucks cheaper which fantastic. Got a microneedling treatment done here on Thursday. I was very lucky to have Michelle as my esthetician. She is absolutely amazing, she made me as comfy as possible, and kept me informed through the whole treatment. Just because I had my previous treatment done with a different reputable esthetician in a high end medical spa, that makes Michelle how much more outstanding she really is. It is two days after the treatment now, and I can already tell the result is going to be a lot better than last time. Would definitely recommend. read more
