In a word, "Shelley." If you take anything away from this review, it's that Shelley is a master at what she does. I've been going to this clinic since it opened. I go for botox, facials and peels. The nurses are fantastic and I absolutely give them 5 stars as well. Specifically Pinky and Sheila for botox. The front office staff is also 5 star, I always enjoy seeing them. The staff has been there a long time which speaks volumes about them and the company. That all being said, I'll go back to my first word, Shelley. I am 58 years old and started really taking care of my skin 15 years ago. I had a long history of no sun block and no skin regimen. I never had dry skin or oily skin or any issues with my skin really, it was just that I was getting older and noticed sun damage. Shelley took care of this over time. Getting into a real routine of skin care is now a part of every morning and every night. Shelley taught me why I needed to do each and every thing and I've seen amazing results. There is no "one thing" that I do that makes my skin look great. It is a commitment to regular facials with Shelley, and doing what she tells me day to day. I also am assured that each time I see her, she's going to determine what my skin needs that day. Not some pre packaged facial that she does to everyone. She uses her expertise to determine what's best for me. The facials are expensive but I have had facials at spas where they just slather a bunch of product on your face and it looks shiny for a day or two but there are no long term results, and in my view, THAT is expensive. These facials are a good example of "you get what you pay for" they have long term benefits. I am often asked what I do to my skin and it's amazing to me how many people believe that if you buy one product, "poof" their skin will look great, and they waste their money on that one jar that has the best marketing. Going to this clinic, and seeing a professional who explains what each thing does and why you need (or don't need) it, has a cost benefit! This place is so good, no doubt! I am a 20y-o suffering from acne ever since my pre-teen years; mainly hormonal acne. I got the Signature facial acne done by Meaghan and she's the best - facial hurts but not painful. the pain is bearable and doesn't make you cry. She knows what your skin needs and is very knowledgeable on skincare & diet. The redness is not that bad after the facial, I can walk out in public without feeling embarrassed. I was a regular at SkinSpirit (formerly Calidora) for a year and a half. The aestheticians are really good, but other than that I have to say all they care about is money. I usually bought a package of regular facials. One day when I came out from service, the front desk told me that I had to pay $20 more because what they offered was more than a regular facial. I never requested any addons to my regular facial so I didn't know how I ended up with this. But I paid anyhow. One day my aesthetician suggested me to do a chemical peel. The front desk told me that I can even use my facial package to do the peel. Sounds great. But when I came out from the peel, the front desk asked me to pay a difference between a fully priced peel and a discounted facial in a package, which is equivalent to paying a fully priced a peel without using the facial package. Then I told them that they had tricked me into thinking that I would get the same amount of discount on the peel, otherwise, why did they tell me I can use my facial package for a peel? The front desk said he can't decide and had to ask the manager. The next day the manager called me and told me that I still had to pay the full price on the peel. I argued for a few minutes and they just didn't listen at all. Fianally I paid and decided that I would never go back after I used up my facial package. A few days later, they sent me a card with apology which I didn't understand at all. They could have just refunded me the overcharged price which is only $20-ish, without bothering to buy and write a card... All in all, I would give the aestheticians five stars though they pushed products and didn't really solve my facial concern. The front desk was too annoying and gave me very bad experience. Here are the facts about my experience getting laser hair removal treatment at SkinSpirit ; - I was interested in a full Brazilian bikini and underarms treatment - I bought a packages of 5 treatments for each of the areas - After the 5 sessions, I got one complementary session + paid for 3 more additional sessions - After 9 sessions, my bikini area was nowhere close to being done, my underarms were doing better, but still needed additional sessions - I went for a consult to another clinic, since I was getting disappointed with the results. The technician I saw could not believe I had 9 sessions on my bikini (I agree) - The other clinic said I need a few more sessions for the underarms (2-3 sessions more, which makes the total sessions (11-12) still considered a lot for underarms), but fore my bikini I need a whole other package (5+ sessions), so basically I am starting from the beginning with the Brazilian bikini area. SkinSpirit used a different system for my underarms vs the bikini area. The system they use is not as effective as other clinics so they keep charging you for each additional session. - I paid a total of just below 3 grand to SkinSpirit with minimal results and now I have to pay for an additional Brazilian bikini packages elsewhere - I started going to another clinic and started seeing results much quicker - I would not recommend this clinic for laser hair removal. Very disappointed with the slow results. Do not waste your money here! read more

This is my first time here and at a medi spa. The facial experience is a bit more intense than your average spa (microdermabrasion, acid peels) but my skin did feel great after. This place gets a star knocked off for including a décolleté treatment for an extra $50 (!) without my approval, and their pushing of $150 products with no samples. What was supposed to be a nice gift from my mom ended up being a pricey hour I wasn't expecting. read more

We went for the consultation on lazer hair removal for my daughter. She decided to go ahead and I bought the 5 treatment package. We were told a numbing agent would be given before treatment. Heavy traffic caused us and everyone else before us to be late. My daughter was taken into the treatment room, asked to lay down, glasses were put on and the tech began the treatment with no numbing!!! She said because everyone was running late there was no time!! My daughter had to have her stop several times because of the intense pain!! The tech never once thought to say, let's put the numbing on since it hurts so much or adjust the lazer to a lower setting. This was horrific!! Now it is almost midnight and she is still up in pain, skin covered in a bright red rash, and holding ice to the area. I will call tomorrow and demand my money back. This place was rated so well, we did not worry about complications. Well, now I have had to look on the internet to see what can be done to help with pain, since we were told the burning would stop in an hour or two, it has been 7 hours and the pain is so intense, my daughter is in tears. As a dude I've never given spa treatments much thought--it just wasn't on my radar. But when my mid 30's hit--along with stressful job--I couldn't believe how quickly my face seemed to age. I had perpetual black and blue under my eyes-puffiness too--and i really started to feel self conscious about it. I would be in meetings and wonder if looking so tired undermined my presentation. All that is changing though after my third treatment with Skin Spirit. I had a facial with microdermabration which really changed how old my skin looked--and then today i had filler for the first time in my life. It something I never considered, and to be honest, really never heard of. It had been awesome. The filler is so subtle--but so profoundly affecting in the way my face looks. Namely it just got rid of the puffy look under my eyes by slightly increasing the volume of the area underneath the puffy part. This way there is a smoother transition. No one will know that I had any thing done--but I suspect tomorrow I will get a few compliments along the lines of "he you look like you had a good weekend" that kind of thing--where people subconsciously pick up on all the subtle cues of what a well rested face looks like. Will shall see! Either way, I know I will feel more confident--I already do. This location is aweseome--in part because I just enjoy the U Village in general. It's super convenient parking with lots of other stuff to do to make a day out of your visit. The location here is larger--and really beautiful. But what stands out at both locations is the staff; they are professional, kind, and warm. I felt totally taken care of, and cared about. That is not something I feel from the customer service in most places these days, but I really felt it here. All and all I totally recommend Skin Spirit. Spent lots of time and money with this doctor, only to feel like she was rushing in and out of my appointments without really listening to me, and sending me out the door with a prescription for antibiotics that I knew I was never going to fill (I loathe them). Obviously I was frustrated. Then, a friend of mine who has been going to SkinSpirit for years, told me to try them. This is one of those friends who annoys you by how great their skin looks, so I took her advice and I am SO glad I did! General look of the office - upscale, clean, bright, and relaxing. Not only did the (much needed) facial do wonders for my skin, but the aesthetician gave me tons of great tips about how to maintain my skin. If you're looking into getting laser hair removal, DO NOT GO HERE. As a fair skinned, dark haired person, I was told I was a great candidate for laser hair removal. During my consultation, I was told I would lose about 20% of my hair after each treatment (give or take). They were very clear with me that it varies on each person but I truly feel I threw over a thousand dollars down the drain. After several treatments in, I shared I thought I would have less hair by now and referenced the 20% hair loss and the technician said that is not at all the case. So, I was given inconsistent messaging after the money was already spent. Five treatments later and about $1200 later... you would never know I had laser treatment. I thought this was my own fault but after talking to my friends who have had laser removal somewhere else, they had a very different experience. Maybe they don't have high quality lasers, or the technicians aren't trained well... not sure of the problem but if you're hoping for results, find another place to go read more

They have a fantastic skin care expert there by the name of Meghan so make sure to book your facial with her. She is totally knowledgeable in all the many aspects encompassing great skin care. She is incredible and super patient when answering all of your questions. She takes a personal interest in your skin care regime and can tell you what you should be doing as far as skin maintenance and what particular products will be best for your individual skin care needs. If you can afford it the packages are a great way to lower the cost of your facial. They carry top of the line products and the layout and design of this skin care spa will relax you right away upon entry. It is skin care with class. Your products aren't your usual department store lotions and potions - these are products that actually really work. I am in my early 70's and have seen some amazing improvements thanks to Meghan. My birthday is coming up soon and I felt my problem areas (chin, forehead and cheekbones) we're holding me back from feeling beautiful, so I booked a facial with Adriana. She took exceptional care of me and made me feel relaxed, fresh and satisfied. She walked me through each step she took which made me feel more comfortable as this was my first facial.
