I don't know the technical terms but once seated was told after a lengthily wait that the desired material she preferred to use was not available. After another 30 min wait it now being well over an hour in total was presented with a promise that what they had to inject her with would produce the same desired results. She was frustrated but reluctantly agreed. In retrospect she said she should have walked out. So, we have bait and switch with a helping of coercion to get more work done than intended by a horrible technician to the tune of badabing $1700! The person who performed the procedure actually physically hurt her and she was swollen and in pain for weeks. To that I was a witness. She said she understands a little swelling and discomfort is to be expected but this was extreme and she considered the procedure botched. And she was also told she would need to come back a few more times for additional work. While waiting to heal and upon thinking about her poor experience she exercised her right to cancel her credit card payment. She then received a summons to go to small claims court. Of course, she went and read her statement. The clerk magistrate seemed sympathetic. The representative for UniQ was abrasive, crude, rude and called her a crook. Unfortunately, the magistrate ruled in UniQ's favor as technically she had consented, but who is the real crook? UniQ of course! Let this be a warning to anyone considering going to UniQ.

However, in early February I started to realize that I could (somehow) find a new place for waxing or I could just get laser and be done with it. I saw a Groupon deal, but checked out their website and saw that I could purchase one visit at a time (I don't think I have seen this anywhere else, it is usually a package of 5 or 6 visits) and decided I could get one Brazilian wax for $60-80 (depending on location) or one laser treatment for $99; seeing as one lasts 4-6 weeks and the other forever, the choice was obvious. My first visit was 6 weeks ago (everyone is different, you might be 4-5 weeks) and my second was this morning, it really is not all that awful and Emma is really nice. They have a great system in place for Covid: call from outside to check in, then go inside when they are ready for you. They will check your temperature as soon as you get in, your bag (if you have one) will go into a plastic bag and you will be given a pair of gloves to wear after disinfecting your hands. Really, it is easy and much faster than waxing!! They also have online booking (!!!), there is no shortage of free parking outside on Trapelo Rd, and you will get a great service for much less than other places that over-promise and leave you feeling disappointed.

The med spa is very discrete. There's hardly any signage so if you're embarrassed to be getting Botox or filler nobody will know! The rooms are comfortable and both Bianca's are very nice, and don't look overly "filled" or frozen which speaks volumes. I love that the owner is an experienced nurse and she has done so many of the treatments she offers. If I could give this med spa a zero I would, I got a Groupon for 50 units of Botox, including a lip…read moreflip Maddie injected me. During the visit she diluted the vile of Botox like I've never seen anyone do and I am a veteran at getting these procedures done. Weeks past and I still had full movement so I called to let them know at which time Maddie FaceTimed me and she told me that she would be looking into the lot number for the Botox because I in fact did have complete full movement of all of the areas she injected. I had a death within my family so I couldn't make the follow up appointment and I honestly had the worst experience my intuition was screaming, and red flags were flying with the way she diluted the Botox powder, so I asked for at least a partial refund at Which time they told me to get in contact with Groupon. I spoke to the manager via text who told me that sometime had passed since the procedure and there's nothing more that they could do, I also bought it through Groupon so I'd have to get a refund through them. Beware of this med spa as I swear to God they injected me with saline.
