My foodie gal pal visited this spot when it first opened so I decided to eat here. They are owned by the same owners of Kyma and Mykonos Blue. I arrived for their early catch which their version of happy hour only to learn that they are no longer doing it. I complained to the hostess and bartender who thought I was crazy and dumb and had to show them their NYC website listing the menu. The bartender reached out to the manager Ike who clarified the matter and informed me that their website has not yet been updated. To make it up to my friend who is a wine drinker he offered to do 2 for 1 drinks. Another observation I noted was when I entered the restaurant I had to show proof of vaccination and my government issued ID meanwhile my friend who is Jewish and white walked in and was not asked to show proof of vaccination let alone her ID. The reason the staff was accommodating was because my friend informed them of my belated birthday, which was three weeks ago. Ike sat us down in a booth area. The wait staff was very pushy and neurotic especially we stopped eating for no more than 5 minutes they are so eager to take our plates or glasses away. Now to the food: We shared the Caesar Salad, which was beautifully presented and it contained anchovies which was tolerable. The salad was OK, not our favorite. My friend ordered the lamb chops which were delicious and the sauce was to die for. I ordered the branzino because they did not have salmon along with a side of brussel sprouts. I was impressed by the quantity of the dish and the taste was very good and definitely could feed at least two people. So I ate half and took the other half home. I was served with a dessert of baklava and vanilla cream with a candle for my belated birthday. The ice cream was great but the baklava was not as fresh. There were several kinks that restaurants is continuing to work on since they just opened a few months ago. Ike was very personable and I would return when he is working there because he would ensure that his customers will be accommodated and welcomed.

Wonderful new Greek restaurant ! Came here for restaurant week and was delighted by the flavors of each dish. The grilled octopus, lobster pasta and grilled branzino were absolute highlights. Highly recommend!

Ummmm.... So I've never been here before... BUT I'm not really feeling the way they do things here. Seems like they must be pinched for money. This place looks fancy but I think they may have spent all their money on revamping the place. Firstly as soon as we walked in they REQUIRED my bf to check his coat. The excuse was "we require all heavy coats to be checked" but as we were sitting at the table we seen multiple guys walking around with big bubble coats on ... We were seated at the round table in my pictures and it's wasn't bad... until the TV's started lagging and then completely went out and showed a black screen with an icon bouncing back and forth as a computer would . I guess they didn't get things in order Super Bowl Sunday. I order the mimosas craft salmon, and rice. The mimosa was watered TF down... no bubbles in sight or to taste. The food was decent but I waited an hour and 15 minutes for it ... when it came they have me salmon and regular fries... I was not happy... I asked the waiter what was going on and she went and checked... the chief sent her to tell me that they ran out and if I wanted another side I could order it but I would have to wait...I found this very unacceptable! Probably wouldn't come here again.

We went here for a PULSD discount and my friend loved the place. The baklava was the best we've ever had and the service was frequent, mind you it was 7:30 on a Tuesday when we went, so it was empty! We recommend it and would come back.

Tried to come in to lunch this week when they were supposed to be open. Came inside to see no one around except for a server passed out, snoring at a table

Went for dinner with three friends and we loved the experience. Started with pita and dips which is my guilty pleasure at Greek spots and then shared fried calamari and grilled octopus which were fantastic. Had a fabulous Lobster Pasta and my friends shared the Branzino and Grilled Chicken. Paired that all with a bottle of Greek wine and toasted a great night out

Restaurant week crispy skin salmon

Great new addition to the midtown lunch scene. Went for a work lunch with the restaurant week menu and was surprised at how good the food and service was. The grilled calamari was a show stopper! My party had the zucchini chips and we both had the salmon - all very good. Service was very attentive and the decor of the place was elegant (we sat outside however). Certainly worth a corporate expense, and will be back!

Paradise Lost is a speakeasy tiki bar located on 2nd Ave in the East Village. A friend & I went…read morethere after having dinner at Spicy Moon a few blocks away. We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

Would definitely recommend to visit if you like gothic stuff and tiki bars.

Dim lighting, plush seating, rich wood + wallpaper details, and that lounge-library vibe make the place feel like a secret hideout right in the middle of Midtown. It's moody, cozy, and effortlessly intimate -- perfect for a date night, a chill catch-up, or just a night out with good drinks. Nice service, too! However: be ready for the price tag. The cocktails are absolutely beautiful -- well crafted, creative, and flavorful -- but each one will remind you that you're not exactly paying dive-bar prices. It's worthwhile, but the "overpriced drinks" vibe absolutely hits. That said: the interior design and ambience are amazing. The mix of antique-meets-modern decor, low lighting, and comfy couches gives you that classic speakeasy romance. If you appreciate aesthetics and vibe over cheap drinks -- this is your spot. If you want a night out that feels deliberate and special rather than casual and cheap -- Osamil Upstairs delivers.

There were a few martini options I had my eye on, and with happy hour, I was able to pick 3 as part of the mini martini flight, a huge score. I got the cornstar, espresso, and Chelsea martinis. The espresso martini was fine, but I'd skip it for another one next time. The cornstar and Chelsea on the other hand were amazing. Would've loved to have either of these in a full size version. Everyone else in the group also liked all of the drinks they got. I got an aviation after happy hour and liked this one too, but the martinis were still my favorite. To eat we ordered the Whipped ricotta and French fries (asked for no truffle), both were great! Overall it's a cool vibey spot with great drinks and some good shareable plates! Would recommend making a reservation just to be sure you can get a table.

My only two gripes with the spot were - they didn't acknowledge my birthday, even with a happy birthday from my server or the hostess. I am not sure why Resy prompted me to indicate the occasion if it wouldn't even be acknowledged or looked at. It obviously feels good to feel celebrated, so they dropped the ball in this regard. The second issue is it got sickeningly loud inside. This was a sunday night, and I ended up having to shout just to be heard by the girl right next to me. Everything else was good! Though there wasn't a dish that just blew my mind, everything was consistently really good and enjoyable. I recommended ordering a handful of dishes and sharing with a group. The cornstar martini was fun (and the popcorn was great!), the vodka pasta, caesar salad, and truff fries were enjoyable as well. The cute matchboxes were a cherry on top as we were leaving! I would come back for more of a going out event instead of a sit down dinner, but it's a cool spot!
