So this place gets rented out for Urban Events. I went last Saturday for International Brunch Series. It was most definitely POPPIN'! I loved every second of the music. The DJ was everything. Everyones vibes were amazing! Everyone came to have a good time. The food on the other hand.... Although it looked amazing it was mediocre. Also the huge wine glass of rum punch was weak until we let them know it tasted like juice and they added a load of Wray and Nephew which gave it a kick. My foodie gal pal visited this spot when it first opened so I decided to eat here. They are owned by the same owners of Kyma and Mykonos Blue. I arrived for their early catch which their version of happy hour only to learn that they are no longer doing it. I complained to the hostess and bartender who thought I was crazy and dumb and had to show them their NYC website listing the menu. The bartender reached out to the manager Ike who clarified the matter and informed me that their website has not yet been updated. To make it up to my friend who is a wine drinker he offered to do 2 for 1 drinks. Another observation I noted was when I entered the restaurant I had to show proof of vaccination and my government issued ID meanwhile my friend who is Jewish and white walked in and was not asked to show proof of vaccination let alone her ID. The reason the staff was accommodating was because my friend informed them of my belated birthday, which was three weeks ago. Ike sat us down in a booth area. The wait staff was very pushy and neurotic especially we stopped eating for no more than 5 minutes they are so eager to take our plates or glasses away. Now to the food: We shared the Caesar Salad, which was beautifully presented and it contained anchovies which was tolerable. The salad was OK, not our favorite. My friend ordered the lamb chops which were delicious and the sauce was to die for. I ordered the branzino because they did not have salmon along with a side of brussel sprouts. I was impressed by the quantity of the dish and the taste was very good and definitely could feed at least two people. So I ate half and took the other half home. I was served with a dessert of baklava and vanilla cream with a candle for my belated birthday. The ice cream was great but the baklava was not as fresh. There were several kinks that restaurants is continuing to work on since they just opened a few months ago. Ummmm.... So I've never been here before... BUT I'm not really feeling the way they do things here. Seems like they must be pinched for money. This place looks fancy but I think they may have spent all their money on revamping the place. Firstly as soon as we walked in they REQUIRED my bf to check his coat. The excuse was "we require all heavy coats to be checked" but as we were sitting at the table we seen multiple guys walking around with big bubble coats on ... We were seated at the round table in my pictures and it's wasn't bad... until the TV's started lagging and then completely went out and showed a black screen with an icon bouncing back and forth as a computer would . I guess they didn't get things in order Super Bowl Sunday. I order the mimosas craft salmon, and rice. The mimosa was watered TF down... no bubbles in sight or to taste. The food was decent but I waited an hour and 15 minutes for it ... when it came they have me salmon and regular fries... I was not happy... I asked the waiter what was going on and she went and checked... the chief sent her to tell me that they ran out and if I wanted another side I could order it but I would have to wait...I found this very unacceptable! They really know how to treat a guest. From arranging a last minute request for outside seating, providing bandaids, accommodating my 8 yr old with a "strawberry lemonade", (which was not in the menu), to keeping our drinks full.. this place had us covered. The establishment was immaculate and comfortable. The staff made us (including our 8 yr olds, it was an early dinner) feel we were the only guests. The food was fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. We started out with the Greek salad and it was so fresh (and we were so hungry!) we ordered a second. We also had the zucchini chips, octopus, and fries with sides tzatziki, hummus and eggplant dip. The wine was all great too and the wait staff was quite knowledgeable when it came to their dishes. I found Skorpios online one day from a recommendation and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant is absolutely beautifully decorated inside, with an authentic aesthetic Greek feel and the most helpful staff around. The manager on duty when I ate was helpful, outgoing, kind, and willing to have conversation with his guests! He helped me rush and on the fly switch my food to a to go order when my schedules got unexpectedly bumped up, and made sure everything was still cooked perfectly. We bought a drink and the bartender took our card and never gave it back and we kept asking and he said he does not deal with the credit cards even thought he just took our card. He kept saying he couldn't find it. We have been standing at the bar the whole time he just starts helping new people and won't give us our card back. We start asking the other bartenders and managers start looking and cannot find our card. When we started to get upset they said they're not dealing with us if we're gonna be rude to them. We're like you won't give us our card back. He's like I'm not helping you with your attitude. Then he tried to give us his number to text him and he will get it back to us later this week. We're like we can't do that we need our card ! We walk away and a random guy friend who they don't know we know goes hey my girlfriends card is here and they gave it to him in 5 seconds. They gave our card away to a random guy but not to the owner of the card because she was a girl. They took the card. Would not return it. We're unbelievably rude and bullying us for trying to be assertive and get our card back. Then their misogynistic asshole bartenders gave away our debit card with all our money on it to a random boy once he asked. Fuck you guys read more

This was by far one of the worst Greek Restaurants I have ever been to and I live in NYC. We had a 6:30 reservation (4 of us) and were seated immediately. The server came and asked us for our cocktail order and it was promptly brought to us. A Server, but was most likely one the managers, came by and suggested a few things for us, which we were happy to try. About an hour later, when we got our first course, some fish with French fries, not on the menu. About another 45 minutes went by when we had not even received our entire order were told that the Shrimp would be another five minutes (AFTER we told him we had NOT received everything, he looked a little confused). About 30 minutes went by and we asked the Manager what happened to our order? He went into the kitchen and said there was a mix-up and it would be about 15 more minutes. NOT acceptable. Don't order the baby lambchops=horrible! We told him to cancel that and we wanted our check. It was more than two hours and we finally had to leave. At around 7:30 they started to play Club music, so that was a little disturbing since you could not chat with your group. We told the Manager how disappointed we were and he started to tell us because of Covid he was short-staffed. When we told him we lived a few minutes away, he changed his story. Can't BS a New Yorker! Don't waste your time. Go to MILOS, the atmosphere, food and more importantly, the Service is excellent there as well. read more
