I honestly wanted something else but my baby moms heard from a couple people that this truck is fire, so we "had" to try it and guess what!? It's hilariously Filipino! I wanted to be a snobby bitch boy cuz I wanted k-bbq but gahhhh damn! Enjoyed myself nonetheless. We tried everything cuz my wife's expensive like that and it was all good but I personally liked the lumpia sliders most. The owners are good people, usually very busy but still kept a smile like they wasn't. Got a New fan!

Beat filipino American fusion food. Lumpia sliders are the best. They also have a must try Lumpia melt.

Came in a few days ago and had the shrimp, mac n cheese, potato salad. My friend had the shrimp too with side of Turkey & cabbage and rice and gravy. We both enjoyed everything except the potato salad. Potato salad was sweet and made with relish (not our style of potato salad we prefer) The shrimp was delicious, large, seasoned and fried well. The catfish was good but not as good as the shrimp. They mac & cheese was the best I've had!!! We also had the peach cobbler and it was soo very tasty. My only regret is not getting it with ice cream. 2 days later I went back with my kid to try the chicken tenders, fries, egg rolls, and get some more Mac & Cheese. Chicken & fries were seasoned good. I just wish they had an option for spicy seasoning. The Mac & Cheese we fought over and it was gone quick. We'll be back for the mac&cheese, shrimp, and cobblers! Delicious!!

We tried the pulled pork sandwich and the smoked beef sandwich. They were both terrific and you get an absolutely MOUND of meat with both dishes. The BBQ sauce used was a tad sweet but not too sweet. Both proteins were incredibly tender and juicy. We also tried the mac and cheese and beans and, as with the meats, you get a ton of whatever side you order (you get one side per plate). The mac was a little dry but still delicious. The beans were smoky and OUT OF THIS WORLD TERRIFIC. I'm not kidding. These are life-changing beans, if there can be such a thing. Frequently parked outside the Lost Abbey in San Elijo, this is a truck you want to check out. The food was served very quickly after ordering so no long wait like with most food trucks.

The garlic paste is strong, so I'd order it on the side if you don't want something too garlicky (I'm the same way). I wasn't even planning on getting mariscos that day but it felt like a sign so I took it as a little treat. It's a food truck setup with folding tables and chairs and a pretty big parking lot since the plaza itself is kind of dead. Parking was easy and there was plenty of space. I walked up and they were doing construction on the tent right above where you order and it was really loud. I feel like that could've been done during closing because it disrupted the vibe. The area is already a little rough so it just made things feel a bit off. The lady working was super sweet. She took my order, you pay right after and they do accept tap to pay which I love because I don't carry cash. They take your name and call you when it's ready. I got mine to go, waited about 10 minutes, and everything came out pretty quick. They packaged everything really well too which I appreciated because aguachile can easily spill. For the tostada they gave two packs of saltines and three tostadas which felt like a good portion. They also had fresh salsas at the truck but I skipped them since my taco already came with sauce. I ordered a fish taco and an aguachile verde tostada. I went home excited to try everything but honestly it didn't really hit for me. The fish taco was a good size with a lot of cabbage and a white sauce, but the fish was a little too soft. I wish it had more crisp and overall the flavors just weren't memorable. It's about $3.70 so fair, just nothing standout. The aguachile verde was the weakest part. Some shrimp textures were off and a few had a strange aftertaste. I've had a lot of aguachile recently and this was probably the lowest quality. I will say they were generous with the avocado and the sauce itself had a nice spicy kick, it just didn't come together overall. There was also an earthy note from the seeds that was very prominent which I have never experienced in aguach For the price, I paid around $20 with tip for both which isn't bad for the portions. It satisfied the craving in the moment but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to come back to.
