    Taco prices. October 22, 2025

$4.16 for a fish taco. Apparently fish tacos are $2.50 on Taco Tuesdays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music is a little louder than I would prefer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]For coming at lunchtime, this place had lots of customers and had the pleasure of talking to a few that come regularly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice shaded patio area for food truck, which is nice during sunny San Diego summers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also had heaters and music, which is nice specially since it's cooling down this winter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got aguachile verde and quesabirria. The quesabirria was good but they limes with no juice at all and a tiny amount of sauce. The aquachiles was excellent and better than most of the restaurants i have had it at. If you're simply driving the Southbay or you're looking for a good place to get lunch during work, I recommend this place.

Fish and shrimp tacos. Don't sleep on those sauces.

I always drive by this food truck parked here in Chula Vista and decided to give them a try. So glad I did, because now I have a good taco truck option close to home. I just ordered a shrimp and a fish taco. Probably should have tried more because the other orders that were coming out of the truck looked very appetizing. The tacos I ordered were delicious. I really liked that the batter on the fish wasn't too thick or overwhelming. The tomatoes, onions and cabbage were fresh and crisp. I think the sauces they give you really elevate the tacos. A chipotle cream sauce and a cilantro sauce really upped the flavor profile. Overall, a good spot for a taco craving. I definitely have to return to try some of their other items on their menu.

Hands down the Best Carne Asda Fries in Chula Vista! Cheaper than TEG but has more flavor and their sauce is AMAZING!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. It's located on the side of one of Eastlake's main streets in a parking lot right off the road. Kind of super random placement not gonna lie but also convenient at the same time to local residents. Looking at past reviews, it does sound like this truck is newer and replaced another one. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Birria and it was amazing. The bread is buttered and toasted perfectly, and the birria tasted great. I honestly wouldn't order any tacos here, one taco was around 4-7 dollars EACH. They look really good but I wouldn't be able to justify one taco for $6 when you can get a whole burrito for around $10 from the same menu. I'm guessing the taco price is because most of the options are seafood. There are some tables under a huge tent right in front of the truck, so seating wasn't an issue at all. They also have condiments and napkins on the tables so you don't have to worry about getting messy!

SO GAS. We've tried the octopus tacos, fish tacos, and their aguachile. All were SO good and my family has already gone multiple times.

The fish taco and shrimp cocktail are super! Must try place in Eastlake. Try to avoid lunch time, they are too busy and hard to find seats.

You have to try this place!…read more It's one of my family's favorite seafood spots. I've had the pulpo tostada and taco multiple times and they're always amazing, super fresh and never overcooked. I usually get the macho sauce on the side so I can spice it up to my level lol. My family has also tried the tuna tostada, micheladas, chilaquiles, and even Dino nuggets for the kids, everything has been consistently great every time we go. The service is always on point, the ambiance is nice, and it's in a great central location. We usually stop by Wood Market afterward to grab a few things. Highly recommend! definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to. Also, shoutout to the Convoy location, it's just as good!

Even though we were a bit late for the breakfast menu, they still let us order the Smoked fish, Gobernador, and Pork Belly-quiles. I loved the flavors, and it had just the right amount of spice I prefer. I also had a Mango-rita that snuck up on me in a good way. We each tried all three plates, and all agreed they were sumptuous. Everyone running the restaurant was super friendly and accommodating to special diet needs as well. I'm glad we tried this establishment. It was quite busy that day, but there was still plenty of parking, and they had booths to sit and enjoy the experience. Portions were large - we all had leftovers to take home. I would love to come back and try more of the menu!

Sometimes, there are nights when only tacos can fix me. It's no secret that San Diego has tacos in…read morespades and being so close to the border, you'd think that a quest to find the perfect taco would be as simple as rolling down to the nearest taqueria. Except, it's not quite that simple. Many beloved staples have gone downhill, while some newer spots that might boast things like a Michelin mention or multiple locations ranging from TJ to Vegas contain more hype and gristle than tender meat and substance. Enter Chula Tacos. Chula is, and always was, the type of place that makes you forget that you're not actually in Tijuana. While part of me misses their OG Market Street location, seeing them with brick-and-mortars feels hard-earned and well-deserved. This location on Palm in IB is relatively easy to access from the freeway, but parking can be tricky. You can safely assume that it will be busy and you will either have to be very lucky or be willing to find a spot on the street. Out of all the times I've been here, it's always been crowded enough that I've never been able to find a table inside, but I enjoy sitting out on the patio next to the ahumederos. The first thing that hits you walking through the door is how amazing everything smells. The queue to the cashier takes you near a window showing the kitchen where you can see the Chula Tacos team making fresh tortillas, slicing meat from the trompos, grilling up jalapenos, nopales, onions, labio, and tripa. For me, it's not so much a challenge to decide what I want, it's more a challenge to keep myself from ordering everything. My usual is four tacos: two asada, two al pastor (but I've heard that I should also try their world famous keka). The tacos though? Perfection. Every time, the asada is the juiciest and most tender I've ever eaten, the al pastor is succulent and flavorful, and no taco in front of me is long for the world. At $3.50 each, every one of them is absolutely loaded. Three would honestly fill me up, but I always want four. After getting burned by spots that ask around 75% more and deliver anywhere between 25-50% less, Chula Tacos feels like an absolute godsend of a Tijuana-style taqueria and I can't see any other contenders being my go-to. So, when I say "Tacos will fix me," what I mean nowadays is "Chula Tacos will fix me."

Every item we ordered was packed with delicious flavors and made fresh. One thing that stood out was their attention to detail with to-go orders--they provided plenty of condiments, including a variety of salsas, cucumbers, radishes, and peppers, which really elevated the meal. The highlight of the menu is the Keka Taco. It is incredibly delicious, loaded with flavor, and so filling that it can easily satisfy even the biggest appetite. The only downside to this establishment is the limited parking, which can make picking up your order a bit challenging during busy times. However, the amazing food and generous portions more than make up for the parking inconvenience. If you're in the area, the Keka Taco is a must-try!

At first I gave them a great review & last time not so great due to prices & portions. Well now over the years their prices are better than other taco shops & portions have gotten bigger. Tho they only have 3 tacos on the menu, Carne Asada, Birria, Adobada, they are good & they have one of the better Birria soup/broth in SD. Their carne asada is one of the best in SD, so juicy & soft I love it, their Birria taco is good too but I prefer their order of Birria or broth & their Adobada is ok just a bit too marinated for me. They also have burritos, tortas & Mullitas & I recommend the Carne Asada form in those because I believe they have one of the best Carne Asada meats in SD. The customer service is really good, cooks are cool & fast & the girls on the register are really nice & the place is always clean. And you know the best part, they have a dispensary/weed store next door so you can buy a joint & go smoke a joint in your car & then walk here & get a few tacos & Birria broth, now that's a perfect breakfast or lunch, tacos & weed go hand & hand baby :) Overall a good little hole in the wall taco shop if you don't want crazy long lines & good service & good tacos & Birria meat or broth this is your place. I even met the Baseball player Adrain Gonzalez here (you can see in my pics) & had tacos on the table next to him & talked baseball a bit & no I was not high, at that moment. So keep up the good job Poblano's & staff & see you soon amigos :)
