My travels bring me up to Southern Oregon every couple of months, and the staff at the staff at the Sky House is always so friendly and efficient. The service is fast and effective. I believe it is cash. Only Service was good. Already said that food was good. Ambience is good. You get a view of the runway from the restaurant. It is upstairs. We have an elevator if you don't want to walk the stairs. read more

Tried the Skyway to California Melt (thought it was fitting since I'm heading back to San Diego). Wasn't planning to buy anything within the airport during my 7 hour wait but I got hungry. What could be a nice menu for an airport coffee shop, is ruined by the actual execution of the food. Horrible, tasteless, badly toasted sandwich bread. Skimpy turkey portion on a club, and the lettuce was way past its days of freshness. Soup served lukewarm.Tough chicken in the quesadilla, which also seemed to have been microwaved. This is the third and last time I will try, try again. Just a little effort in the kitchen would fix everything. I'm never sure that being the "only place in town" is good for pride of work. I have such mixed feelings about this place. I had no choice but to eat here because it's the only rest restaurant in the airport, but I'm also so thankful for its existence for the same reason. Paying 15 dollars for these burgers is a lot, but at the same time, that's usual restaurant food price. And, it really was not bad. Putting some sauce on the bread would definitely help though! This the only restaurant in the Medford airport. During COVID time, bar is closed and they only do To-go orders. You are allowed to sit at some tables but there is no table service. I had the tuna melt and housemade chips and quite enjoyed it! Its $15 but filling and very delicious. Chips in particular were crispy, just how I like it. The server was very nice and accomodating. Whenever I come back to visit here in Medford, I'm definitely down to go back to this restaurant. read more

Pros: a sit down restaurant with great views while you wait for your flight, the food was diner quality good with large portions but somewhat greasy). The staff were very nice and when we went it was not very busy. Cons: This is the only restaurant in the airport which is most likely why the cost is so high. I don't think the cost is balanced with the flavors. I would expect more for such an expensive meal, however, this is the only choice in the airport. 4 stars because the flavors were good for diner style food and portions were shareable. gluten free options available including bread and buns! read more

I really don't like posting one star reviews but my most recent meal was horrible. Ordered a 1/2 chef salad and was disgusted by the amount of old wilted and what looked like rotten lettuce (picture attached). Our server neglected to come by and ask how our meal was as I kept adding to the collection on my napkin. Sadly this gives a super charming airport a bit of a black eye. I'm so glad the movement to eliminate styrofoam has even reached little Medford. This little restaurant and bar is available pre-security just up the central stairs. The hostess was really nice and the price here can't be best if you work at the airport (which I do). I had a plain original burger with house made kettle chips and a coffee. Everything was made out of paper (not the food). Chips are just thick enough with a great seasoning. Really enjoyed those! The burger was solid. They don't ask you how you want it cooked so it comes well done on a focaccia like bun. I enjoyed it and I'd definitely return for such quality at reasonable prices. Visiting family in Riddle and flying through Medford airport I arrived a little too early for my flight so I decided to visit their restaurant while waiting. Never a bad time for a spicy Bloody Mary !! My lovely waitress, I think her name was Mer, hooked me up with some liquid yumminess !! Upon her suggestion, I opted for a grilled chicken Caesar salad. There are no other options for dining at the little Medford airport, so Sky House could rely on its captive audience and do a whole lot worse than it does. In August 2023, I arrived early for my midday flight, and my jet-lagged stomach insisted it was already lunchtime. I took the elevator up the the restaurant level as I sometimes struggle with stairs. It's great to have the lift available, and it opens right into the restaurant. They don't serve espresso upstairs, so make sure you get that in the gate area from Jet Fuel if it is only caffeine you're craving. The friendly server on duty was responsive and pleasant. It wasn't busy at that awkward mid-morning hour, so the pacing of ordering (and departing when I finished eating) was up to me. In addition to being polite, my sandwich was ready quickly. I was pleased that I could get a turkey sandwich so early as it was still breakfast hours. Because I was trying to convince my body it was still early in the day, I only ate half my sandwich (and the salad I chose as a side), and the server was happy to provide tin foil so I could bundle the other half into my carry on bag for later. (I thought a box would just get squished and be more likely to leak turkey juice into my luggage.) Prices felt high, but they accurately reflect what I paid everywhere else in Southern Oregon on this trip. I think inflation is the issue, not location based price gouging. I'm sure I'll fly through MFR again, and I am happy to know I can get a proper meal here when I do, if that's what I wish for. read more

Honestly, for Medford airport food, the pricing is fine. By eating here instead of Seattle we saved probably $10 per person. My vegan burger was $16. It was mediocre. I would recommend the veggie sandwich with no mayonnaise, but have them put both swiss & cheddar cheese on it... delicious! My son would recommend their burger w/just avocado & cheddar cheese. My husband would recommend their grilled chicken sandwich. We had just sat down to order when we saw our plane land. I was really impressed with the taste of this burger here! Wow, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Yes, price is too high, as with all restaurants in every airport in the world. However, if the food is really good, I don't mind the price so much, and this was really good! Excellent meat patty flavor, and fresh lettuce, tomato and onion made me happy. I happened to be flying out of Medford on a slower day, catching an 8:50 PM flight on a Tuesday. This bar is cheery, well lit, and provides service like a bar should. Friendly staff with great skills balancing attention amongst the ever flowing crowd. Years ago, I got introduced to the filthy dirty, extra dry, vodka martini. It was the perfect drink for me... Slightly salty, with a subtle sweet taste underneath. And of course, I loved the olives. For years... Probably 10 to 15, I have been looking to replicate that identical taste. Often times, met with a salty drink filled with olive particles. Bartender Lou was clearly trained in old school bartending. This was the best filthy dirty, extra dry vodka martini I have ever had - it totally met the memory of my very first time (drinking one!). (Hint: coat the inside of the shaker with the vermouth, dump out any leftovers).
