I was taken care of as soon as I got there, got offered a drink but I picked up coffee brfry so I didn't need anything but I loved that they still asked. They brought me the color options for me to review and didn't rush me to pick a color. Annie did my nails (builder gel with shellac) and Victor did my pedicure (get away pedi with shellac) and they both did an amazing job. They didn't rush but they worked on everything at a gre pace, attention to detail and didn't hurt me once. It was a great experience. My builder gel looks so nice and natural! Some things may be a little gross to some people, so I will try and keep this as PG as possible. I wanna sound tough...but if you have an ingrown toe nail...It can be as painful as having your hand nailed accidentally to a fence (don't ask how I know this...long story) and needs some attention before infection sets in. One in my house suffers from the same affliction. Deciding not to pay a Mercedes payment to the foot doctor, the wife highly recommended Nina (YAY NINA) to get the blasted thing removed. I do not know what she put on my feet to numb them. But she had a solid..."chunk" of the nail out before I knew what was happening. No wonder the pain was so daggum unbearable. Anywho...pain relief was virtually instantaneous. I thanked Nina for her services and about to get up to leave and was promptly yet politely told to park my keister meester. She told me "You pay for pedicure...you get pedicure". Probably one of the most diabolical tortures of my 40+ years of callus building on my feet. She might as well have taken a belt sander to them. Nina was happy and talkative and fun. I like that. And I am ticklish on my feet. See previous reviews of mine for my "Don't you dare judge me" clause of my reviews. Having finished grinding (and I literally mean grinding) my feet...I was out of pain...Nina was happy...and you cannot help but smile when Nina does. Pain free and happy...I still managed to walk out with a huge smile on my face... I am still a dude. Just sayin... Solid service? Check! Funny conversation? Check! Tasty beverage? Check!!! That nail broke within a week and color started peeling off. It's not even 2 weeks yet and my nails are already chipping and color is massively peeling off. I'm used to shellac lasting me 3-4 weeks. This is the least they've ever lasted for me. You could have thought they were just regular manicure no shellac. No attention to detail or professionalism. Didn't like Mimi. Pedicures were great! Wish I would have gotten her name.

Shortly after that visit, I started noticing inflammation, pain, and irritation around my toenail. At first, I thought it was just temporary sensitivity from the pedicure--but it never improved. Fast forward to now (March), and the issue has still not resolved. After looking into it and dealing with this for months, it's very clear that I developed a fungal infection, along with ongoing inflammation around the nail. This has been frustrating and honestly upsetting, because something that was supposed to be self-care turned into a long-term issue that I'm still dealing with months later. I can't say exactly what went wrong during my service, but I would strongly encourage this salon to take a closer look at their sanitation practices and tool hygiene. Situations like this shouldn't happen. This place is beautiful if you choose to come here, but please be cautious and pay attention to how tools are cleaned and handled.

Afterward, my wife respectfully spoke to the manager and explained that the situation could have been handled differently and privately. Instead of acknowledging that, he gave several excuses and defended his behavior. I then spoke with him myself and asked for an apology, but again there was no accountability -- only more justification. As a customer and as a parent bringing my family into a business, I expect a professional environment where employees are treated with respect. The experience left a bad impression, not because of the staff member helping us, but because of how management handled the situation. If you value kindness and professionalism, this was disappointing to witness.
