    Bowling alley

What bowling alley ever has bad french fries? Not this place. The serving was bigger than expected and the lady running the kitchen was a lot of fun to talk with.

You can even see that the cheese hasn't melted!!! It must have been a pre-made frozen pizza that they didn't cook long enough

I appreciate this business here for the families, but even my Airman who just graduated said, I'd rather eat DFAC food than eat more of their pizza." I was so disappointed when i got my Large Pepperoni pizza for $15.25 and it was COLD!!! I took 1 bite and could not finish the rest. Plus there was like 1 piece of pepperoni per slice. Then, Lane 25 & Lane 26 kept swallowing our balls. But they did extend our time. I did have a burger and it was pretty good. The onion rings were very crispy. But how do you screw up pizza!?! None of us even want to take it to go.... in the trash it goes

Started off empty but by the end of the night it was packed with every lane full!!

Beautiful bowling alley. Great prices. Good enough good. But employees seem annoyed that we we're there with our airman.

Steals your money and doesn't give you all the games you pay for and then refuses to give you a refund.

This location specifically is pretty clean overall, wait staff is a hit or miss, there's usually maybe 3-4 when we go right when they open so we get the space for ourselves until the rush starts coming through at around 2-3. We usually get pretty good service whenever we go overall, we just had only one rare moment with a front check in person about some of the rules that we weren't aware of that changed all of a sudden. I understand that if there's some changes with how things are done, totally ok with that, but there's also a way to explaining it to us as we were accustomed to prior to the bowling alley. Just tell us without having some attitude about it - That's my only rant, otherwise it's a great spot! Parking: plenty shared with a bingo spot.

It was easy to make a reservation online, but we were astounded by the $56 person price! We called and spoke to a very friendly, very helpful sales rep who offered several specials to consider. We chose 2 hours of play with shoe rental, unlimited soft drinks and 2 drink tickets per person. Final price was $13/person cheaper than the online booking version. We had a blast! We had two lanes side by side at end of the alley. A friendly server brought menus over, answered any questions we had, and took our order for fun specialty drinks. The drinks served were really good! Also available is a nice selection of food options, but we didn't try anything as we had dinner plans after bowling. It was easy to set up player and team names (Dominators and Gutter Cousins) on the digital scoreboards, then we got the balls rolling! None of us had bowled in a very long time, and our skills varied widely. We laughed and cheered and trash-talked our way through the games. It's loud enough in the place that we could yell and cheer without disturbing anyone. Center table between the lanes held our drinks, and the cushioned bench seats were heavily padded and comfortable. Two hours of play passed quickly! We all had a great time despite the occasional gutter ball! Everyone said they'd forgotten how much fun bowling is. We'll definitely be making plans to come again!

For racing: each person revived a wristband with the time of the race heats on it so they knew when to report to the racing bay. They do a good job of explaining the rules and how the carts operate. I was surprised how heavy the helmets were but then when I saw how other people were handling their carts, it made sense. These carts move! Not everyone was comfortable with the speed or the course because it's much more "rainbow road" style than what most people are used to. The race itself felt like a good length of time but it would've been nice to have some tiered races; like beginner, intermediate, advanced. For food: they had a whole spread of food and the staff was making sure it was well stocked and clean. They also gave everyone two drink tickets to the bar and there was a large variety of options you could cash those tickets in for (including non alcoholic drinks). For games: we each got a game card that was active for one whole hour from the first swipe and was limited to the mainly the non ticket issuing games. It added another level of team building with a lot of the games being multi player. There were almost no games out of order either.

The track was well designed and the karts felt fast and responsive. Staff did a good job explaining the rules and keeping everything organized so the race ran smoothly. A solid spot if you are looking for something active and different to do in San Antonio.

The staff offered to try to bring the whole pizza that the slice came from (a half cheese and half pepperoni pizza). I agreed because paying 1/3 of the cost of a whole pizza for just a slice didn't make sense to me and it wasn't what I ordered. Once the whole pizza came out, I tried a slice and it was bad. The cheese was waxy and flavorless. That's when I regretted not agreeing to just a slice and only paying $7.50. That being said, they offer a large soft pretzel which is a good option, however I'm not a fan of the cheese sauce that comes with it (and I love cheese). The building is great for bowling, which is $32 an hour and shoe rental is $6 per person for VERY worn down shoes/laces. A party of 4 will pay $25 and change for shoe rental that was uncomfortable for two out of the four of us. I would recommend bringing your own bowling shoes. Lastly, we were celebrating my daughter's birthday on this visit and learned they don't do anything special for birthdays. We will definitely try somewhere else for a future celebration.
