Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was about $15 for 2 hours of bowling. There a drink specials from 3-5:59pm. Food is regular priced but there are reasonable options. The cocktails were delicious. The service is lane side however the server did not come by very frequently so we had to track him down. the space is open and bright with giant windows and exposed brick. A very industrial vibe. There's about 15 lanes or so. With all the windows it can get pretty warm inside so dress comfortably

Went during happy hour on a weekday afternoon, we had sooo much fun! Drinks were $3 from 3-4. $4 from 4-5. You can walk up to bar or the server will come up to you. And there's a lot of options for happy hour drinks! Not just the usual 3

I didn't know this place existed until a friend wanted to meet there. We went during the day on a weekday and were the only ones there for a while. I've heard it gets really busy at night and on weekends so I'm grateful we had no problems! The service was great! The servers were nice and attentive. My husband and I shared a pizza and it was delicious! I highly recommend the margarita pizza. We had some mimosas and a couple beers. All drinks were delicious! Bowling was a bit more expensive than I'm used to for 2 hours. The drinks and food wasn't unreasonable and probably comparable to other places like this, but I was a bit sad after viewing the final bill. I guess we were just having too much fun! Bowling was fun and easy. I thought it was hilarious that the pins were put up with strings! Felt old school. The balls are at the lanes already, which I appreciated. Lots of options!

Eh, I liked it here but didn't love it. The atmosphere is pleasing but everything else was a bummer. My friends and I went on a Tuesday evening which it wasn't crowded at all, maybe two other lanes were in use and I was surprised at how slow the service was. They offer these buttons on the table to press for your server, and each time it took them 20-25 minutes to just make it to the table. It was quite frustrating because we wanted to continue ordering more drinks + food. Pizza was decent and drinks were nothing to rave about. And I just want to add, I don't know if it was just the day we came but it was extremely hot in there to the point where I was sweating horribly, it literally felt like a sauna in there. So overall, I am saddened by my experience here.

I've been to bowl and barrel a few times and I've enjoyed it each time I've gone. The staff is always helpful and the facility is well decorated with a rustic feel and always clean. It's a more intimate bowling alley but we've always been able to get a lane. It's nice to be able to grab a drink and snacks and have something to do after a dinner out. And who knows, once I actually figure out the right size bowling ball for me, I may actually improve my game!!

Came to Bowl & Barrel a couple of weeks ago for some afternoon bowling. The place was nearly empty, except for two other customers and a handful of employees. While the aesthetic is a vintage, rustic, industrial kind of look - and it's incredibly flattering - it falls short when it comes to the actual bowling experience. Firstly, there were far too many balls crammed on the loading dock, and most of them felt old and hunky, and were covered in a coat of some oily substance (presumably wax?) that got all over my hands every time it was my turn to bowl. Which was weird, because the lanes didn't seem to be properly waxed. And every time we did bowl, our balls seemed to always lean to the right. But what was most frustrating, was that even if we knocked all of the pins down (getting a strike or spare), the front/center pin would get picked back up and never count. It was like it was impossible to get a strike or spare? Not sure if that's normal for them to do, or if our lane was just malfunctioning, or what. We ordered the green chile grilled cheese sandwiches served on jalapeno cheddar bread. The sandwiches were good and flavorful, but a little too strong on the green chile that it was overpowering the rest of the ingredients. The service was nice, however. The girl at the front desk was new so she accidentally charged us more than she was supposed to, but she was really kind and quick to fix the issue. Our server was also really kind but after taking our order, she never came back to check up on us after giving us our food. We had to walk to the bar to get our waters refilled, which was interesting since (like I said) the place was practically empty and most of the employees were just standing around talking to each other. They were playing pop music that you'd typically hear on the radio and it was somewhat loud, and did not match the ambiance of the place at all. You'd think a place that prides itself on vintage looks and style would play older, jazzier music to match that aesthetic and really set the mood. Instead, it felt like we were bowling inside of a Forever 21. (Seriously, what is the obsession with every store/facility playing loud generic pop music, even if it doesn't fit the aesthetic at all?) Lastly, it was extremely hot inside to the point that we began sweating. The place has so much potential, if only it put more of its attention onto the actual quality of bowling, food and services that it offers. (Especially for such high prices!) Food rating: 5 / 10. Service rating: 7 / 10. Ambiance rating: 6 / 10. Bowling rating: 4 / 10. Over-all rating: 2 stars.

The birthday girl and another friend arrived early, before me and my other friend so they both ordered appetizers and drinks. One ordered a beet/radicchio-arugula/goat cheese salad and a mocktail and the other one ordered a wedge salad and Espresso Martini. My friend shared her beet salad and it was delicious! We all ordered the Pork Chop Special and I ordered a 15 oz. Prosecco. They have 2 sizes: 5 oz. and 7.5 oz. When our entrees arrived we dove right into them. I haven't had it in a long time and this version is now slightly sweet, smoky and caramelized all over which is nice! It came with a side of whipped potatoes and applesauce. Of course we all couldn't finish it so we took our leftovers home. A couple of friends even ordered Pork Chops to go for their hubbies. One friend orders the Pork Chops from Seasons 52 and she was impressed with this one as well as the deal! She also scarfed on the bread and was raving about it but ate so much before the Pork Chop arrived that she was a little full! When we paid, Kenzi accidentally put my bday friend's Pork Chop on mine and added the bday salad and drink on my other friend's tab when she was supposed to pay for all of the bday friend's meal. Kenzi apologized and corrected it. She might have been overwhelmed by the volume of people? Restrooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies. We used it before we left then went to the front to have photos taken. When I asked the hostess/check-in area, where there were 3 female employees, one female employee said "Sure" yet one female just looked away dismissively which I thought was odd. I just had a questionable feeling because we were sat in a corner and then the female turning her head away felt like she was ignoring us. I know they're busy seating people but this was already 2:45pm. I think the male employee with a grey suit who was behind the station standing there may have been the Manager saw no one stepped up so he offered to take our photos. We decided to head over to Kona Grill at La Cantera instead. I made a reservation just to be safe and we checked out the menu on the way over. Upon arrival at 6PM, it was pretty empty and got seated a little earlier than our reservation in a large booth as requested, good start. Once we sat down we noticed how dirty the seats and floor were. No biggie, it was probably very busy earlier. Apparently, we were given the wrong menus but they matched what we saw online. While we were giving our order for what we already thought was overpriced selections, our server tells us we had the wrong menus and handed us special Christmas menus. We'll, after taking a few minutes to look it over, what we noticed what was a much smaller menu, with everything priced about 15-20% higher, for the same items. Huh? They had one Kids item, a $19 Turkey Plate and the lowest priced items for adults was the Sushi starting at $22. All of the apps were $25 and up, including the regular sized, and underwhelming Calamari. The menu was marketed as a special, limited time menu, but seemed like simply a limited, higher priced menu. My wife's Margarita was $17 and filled to the rim with ice. Just not a good value at all. I got the Steakhouse Burger and again, very underwhelming for the price tags of $29. My sons Fried Rice was $34 and was not a shareable item. If we knew this was the menu, we would have just waited at Ding How. My reservation did not mention the special menu and neither did the website, from what I saw online. Guess you live and learn...and I learned just to wait for what you really want. It was a blessing to be together and to afford a dinner like this. Times are are hard and we do not take it for granted at all. We appreciate the staff that we're working on Christmas Eve and hope they were compensated a bit more based on the higher priced items.
