Run by a master mechanic, just the right place for regular maintenance and repairs that require expert knowledge. Yet the best aspect of Skyline Automotive is honesty and integrity he runs his shop. I called and made an appointment for brake job as is required. But it turns out that more serious problem that needed attention was the empty oil in the engine. He explained to me patiently that the noise I was concerned was not from the brakes, but the engine. He also told me how it is so important to change oil regularly and check engine oil level frequently as you add years to your engine. He told me that the brake job could wait for later days, but I went ahead and had him do the brake job as well as the needed oil change. I was on my way to work when my tire blew out on the freeway. I managed to safely exit and saw this repair shop. I pulled in hopeful and excited that they could help me swap my tire with my spare. When I got off the car and explained what I needed the man told me he does not do anything with the tires. I showed him my tire and asked if he could please help me swap it and he said no. Asked me to go somewhere else like a tire shop that there was once about a mile down the road, and so I said, look at my tire, it's falling apart and dangerous, so he said I could move my car somewhere else (out of his establishment) and get it towed. This man was beyond rude and lacks professionalism. Where are his ethics ? How is it a "repair shop" but can't swap a tire for a spare ? He and his wife just shooed me away and basically sent me to F off ... My tire was falling apart and he didn't care to help me, knowing how dangerous it is to drive something like this and then being a woman not knowing how to swap it myself. Terrible!! read more

When I noticed my car making weird sounds while driving on the freeway I immediately pulled off at the nearest exit to see what was going on. I noticed the plastic in the wheel well had come detached and was hitting my tire as I drove. Luckily there was an auto shop (Skyline Automotive) right off the freeway exit! Even luckier it was one of the best. Brian was kind enough to look at my car right away and fix the problem, even though he already had a full day's work. He charged me a very fair price and was honest and transparent about the repairs and that it wasn't a permanent fix. Overall the service was fast and affordable, and Brian was very kind (and funny!). I started to bring my cars to Brian after my 1996 Trooper had electrical problem that number of other repair shops couldn't fix. Brian diagnosed the problem and completely fix the problem at very reasonable cost. He recommended changing timing belt which was badly worn. After few more repair, my 23 year old car gets better gas mileage and more powerful than before. I have no problem going off road in the desert. Also Brian worked on my 2005 Sienna with 200,000 miles driven. This summer, I took 2 road trips (3000 mile each) on Sienna and car just ran smooth through out the trip.
