I was really skeptical about going here, but a group of us went because I was told that they had things other than the chili cause I had no desire to try the chili and they have a pretty extensive menu there's wraps there are salads they have floats they even have cheesecake factory cheesecake for dessert I was just amazed that it's a sit down on restaurant you don't order at the counter they come and they bring your silverware and table service and take your order and everyone it was very polite. Very very clean music not too loud and they have a pretty extensive menu. I wound up getting just the regular chicken wrap and had some blue cheese dressing in it and no cheese on it and it really was very good And a plus is that they had diet Dr Pepper so I didn't take any pictures but they were about five or six of us there yesterday and everybody really enjoyed it so yes I was surprised. OMG!! I'm so frustrated over my experience at this place tonight. It started with the person - taking my order - speaking low and mumbling. Had to ask her to repeat her question 3 times and she never changed, pitch, tone or volume. A man got on and asked if I wanted mustard and onions. THAT WAS WHAT SHE WAS SAYING? She then rang it up incorrectly despite the order being repeated to me both after completing the order AND once I got to the window. I only ordered two freaking hotdogs - one a coney with cheese on the side and a regular coney. When I got home the order was WRONG. Just like my decision to not pull off like my gut told me to. What a really nice place to stop on a very chilly day. Matt greeted me and also turned out to be my server. He was very attentive and prompt. My food came out perfectly prepared. I just love skyline every time. I am in Ohio. I sure do miss not having this in Florida. The skyline chili Coney dog was sheer perfection along with my delicious and yummy skyline chili five way. I really liked how management interacted with crew. They treated them with respect and we're very nice too. People seem to really enjoy working here. This is my favorite Skyline location in the Columbus area. First of all, Skyline is my all-time favorite food. I could eat it everyday. I always get cheese coneys and sweet tea. I come to this location often because it is located near my work. The staff are absolutely fantastic! It's a fast food restaurant complete with drive-thru that is glorified by locals and questioned by out-of-towners. I knew I had to try a coney and chili during my time in Ohio so I prepared myself all day and enjoyed the experience. It's spaghetti. It's chili. It's cheese. And free oyster crackers with hot sauce to dollop on. And it was great. This wasn't just a novelty stop, I would go back again if ever back in the area, but I warn this isn't for everyone. I have always liked Skyline. This was the first time trying the 5-way Mac but turned out to be a 4-way because they forgot to give me the onions. I highly recommend the Mac. It is a limited time only item and I think I prefer this over the 5-way spaghetti. This is the second Skyline I've been to and I approve! Good service from the waitress and good food! I'm impressed with how good their food is for how reasonably priced and accessible it is. I love how you can order a vegetarian version of anything they have with chili on the menu. Their veggie chili is tasty! Not a Chilly Welcome for this Veteran My family stopped by after our Cub Scout meeting to have a bite to eat (around 9:00pm). The restaurant was clean, bright, and spacious. There were no other patrons at this hour, so we had the place to ourselves; this could explain the excellent service we received. When asked about whether or not this establishment "Honored" military service, the waiter smiled and said "yes we do, and it is a pretty good discount". We order our food and it was pretty good overall. The chili is a little runny, but the waiter said that a customer can thicken it up by adding beans when ordering. The customer has options when ordering their food , the staff can pretty much tailor the food to the customer; they just need to ask. The chili flavor is unique with a cinnamon, chocolate follow through. It can be spiced up with the Skyline Chili's Hot Sauce; this sauce was great; we bought a bottle to take home. Overall, our experience was very good, from arriving to leaving. The Manager gave us some "First Timer" bags that contained coupons, candy, and other little things (nice touch) when we left. I purposely did not mention the amount of the Veteran's discount because it could change with management or ownership, but I will say this, it was substantial. I will make this place a regular stop after our Cub Scout meetings from now on. They have a repeat customer. read more

I tried to dine in at your East Broad St location in Columbus, Ohio on 7.19.20 at approximately 530pm. Even though the local mandate only specifies that a face covering must be worn, I was asked to use hand sanitizer by who I assume is the manager. I politely responded that I "would rather not". I was then told that I wouldn't be able to come in unless I did. My hands are dried out and cracked from so much hand washing and use of hand sanitizer that I have a visibly open wound on one finger tip, so I left and went to a different restaurant to enjoy my evening. I eat out every night all over Columbus. I've never once been asked to use hand sanitizer, let alone been refused entry for declining. I know the restaurant industry is taking a huge hit. Having your workers act like Gestapo isn't a very good way of bringing in customers. People are fed up and worn out with all this bullshit. Having one more hoop to jump through is the last thing that's needed, especially when people who were regular customers try to enjoy themselves. read more

This was the last chain I tried when moving here, it took me awhile to get it together enough to try. I heard from locals either you love it or hate it and I have got to say I hate it. My family did not like it either. There is not much to chose from, my son got the hot dogs with chili on the side which he did not eat so my husband was stuck with even more disgusting chili along with his burrito. It has so much cinnamon in it, is runny, simpley the worst thing I have ever eaten! I had the southwest chicken salad which luckily had the chili bean mix in it which is slightly better than the regular chili, if my husband had only known. He chose the regular without beans which has that strong pungant cinnamon flavor that still makes us sick every time we drive by. YUCK!!!! read more

So when I go to Skyline tonight, I wait in the drive thru line for 21 minutes. There are 6 cars in front of me. I hear the lady in front of me order $36 worth of food so I kind of get it, however I doubt the other 4 cars order that much. I get to the window and ask the kid who appears to be about 14 if he considers 21 minutes to be fast food and he replies, and I quote ' I can't help the speed mister. Want me to get my manager?' Apathy abound these days. 21 minutes is unacceptable and an answer like that is even more unacceptable. I will not revisit Skyline. At a minimum, the east Broad location. read more

I had the worst experience at this location yesterday (9.29.19) that I've ever had at a Skyline! My girlfriend has never had Skyline and I was craving it, so we stopped in around 3 p.m. The server, Denetra, came over and never said hi, mentioned her name, or made any type of small talk. She just asked us if we knew what we wanted. My girlfriend asked about the special promotion macaroni and cheese 3-way and asked how much it was. The server told her $6. She ordered that and I ordered a three-way with three cheese coneys. The food came out quickly. My girlfriend wasn't impressed with what she ordered but I thought mine was pretty good. We waited for the server to come back and check on us, but she never did. We had to flag the server down for drink refills as the server was too busy doing side work and never checked back to see how everything was. When she finally did come back over after flagging her down, she asked if we both wanted refills in our empty glasses and she couldn't even remember what I had to drink. We were never asked if we wanted refills on the crackers or a second refill for the drinks! We finally got fed up with the bad service so we went up to the counter to pay. If it wasn't for the manager telling the server that we were ready to check out, we would probably have been standing up there for a while. Anytime I've ever been to a Skyline, I am asked how everything was when I pay. We were never asked how our experienced was. My girlfriend pointed out to the server that what she had ordered wasn't $6, it was $9. The server argued with her and told her that she said she thought it was $6, but wasn't sure. If you have something that is a special you should know what the price is or at least find out for the customer! I asked for a survey and the manager didn't seem to care that something was going on and that customers weren't happy. I used to come to this location every Sunday and it seems like they had a really good team. I didn't recognize any of the three workers on this visit. I don't know what happened and why all the workers I liked weren't there, but I doubt I'll be back to this location. read more

First off, I worked for skyline chili for 5 years in the early 2000's. Great company to work for and very unique and tasteful food. I use to live in Gahanna and frequent that location until I moved to Blacklick, walking distance from this location. Service here was a 50/50 with many poor experiences. Most visits there we're waiting for refills while our server stands around drinking their drink. My last experience, we went in to eat and sat down. Someone said they'd be with us soon after a few minutes of sitting there. Then another couple comes in behind us, then another couple minutes behind them. Both of those couple were being helped before us, getting their crackers and drinks. Then again they said they'd be with us. And again nothing. So we got up and left, and as we were walking out the kitchen staff yelled out a "thank you". They were so oblivious that they didn't even know we were there or for how long. So we went straight to the Gahanna location and received the best service like that location always does. Go to Gahanna skyline and Matthew the manager and Marilyn the server are second to none. Great service every time. Lastly, I called corporate about this issue and they said they'd contact that store manager at east broad. I never heard anything from the store manager or corporate since then, and this is a delayed review. Avoid east broad skyline, sadly, and travel an extra 10 minutes to Gahanna for exceptional service. read more
