Hubby and I grew up eating Cincinnati style chili and are happy to see Skyline Chili in locations outside of the Cincinnati area! We will definitely be back. The food is as expected and we get our "fix" without having to make it at home or drive to the Cincinnati area to eat it. The beef tasted like the beef at Taco Bell and the dressing on the Greek salad I'm sure wasn't homemade. This has to be one of the greatest eating experiences in the last 24 hours. I ordered 3 coneys, and they arrived absolutely perfect. I ate them in about 40 seconds, and was tempted to order 3 more. My best bud Michael (fellow Yelper) reminded me that I might not fit into the Kangaroo pouch later this evening at our next stop if I didn't behave myself. I love Cincinnati style chili. So I pounce on these places when I can since there's only one left in Indy besides the one in Greenwood. This one is huge! The dining room is much larger from all the ones I've seen. I ordered my usual 4-way with onions. She got her usual Coney dogs with cheese. Everything was delicious. I love their oyster crackers too. The dining room was clean when we walked in. There were no tables needing busing. Our server was friendly, prompt and efficient. Our food was delivered super fast. I'm really not that big of a fan of Cincinnati Chili, I do not add chocolate or cinnamon to my chili, but I respect this for what it is. I have usually had some variation of Skyline at a Reds game or at Riverbend and it has been fine for what it is at that kind of venue. To me the food is a solid 4 stars if you like this kind of item. And since it is right down the road from me, I can honestly say is has grown on me. I love a good five way. I figure...go big or go home, right? I really do like all the extra favors that come with all the all the items. Because everything is made to order you can really get any combination of items you want on any of the food items. I recently tried the Bean Mix Deluxe Burrito that is a flour tortilla filled with their chili bean mix then covered with chili, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. This may be my new go-to item. My 5th star for this location is service! I've been here a half dozen or so times in both busy and not so busy times and I am always waited on promptly. While in Kentucky for a basketball tournament my husband wanted to give this a try. It's a twist on spaghetti with chili sauce instead of traditional spaghetti sauce. I joined the cult! I mean, that's what it almost seems like. My friends and family from the Cincinnati area, which is where SL originated from, practically act as though no other fast food options exists. I have to admit, when I first tried SL in northern Kentucky a long time ago, I wasn't sold on it. I've since conceded and have found my niche/go-to here. Chili with spaghetti noodles, is how I remember chili from my childhood. My mom still makes chili with pasta. My husband hates the idea of pasta in his chili. They asked me to post a review.... all I could say is, go see everything that is posted about every other Skyline Chili. They are either hated, or loved. Anyone from Cincinnati and moved away, they are "happy to be back" into their closest Skyline when they are in Cincy. And now, those Cincy transplants, now living in Lexington, no longer have to drive 45 Mins to get our fix. Yes you still have the countertops for one, or plenty of space to pull tables together for a large group. But the best part about this specific one is the "Lexington" touch. The barn wood look throughout is a great finish. The fireplace gives it the home feel, which is exactly Skyline represents, our home! And it is so much closer to my current home. I've loved skyline since I was a little girl. Once upon a time there was one where Bangkok house is now. It was my favorite! Then it was gone....years later it popped up in Georgetown...then it too was gone. I was sad. Any time I traveled north, I would have to get my fix. I used to work for the franchise group that owns this Skyline, First Watch, and LaRosa's so I know that they are a great group and will properly run these wonderful restaurants! As always, their signature chili and dishes were a carbon copy of their Cincinnati counterparts. WOW. Lexington finally got a ski line chili. I have never eaten at a ski line but I have bought their chili at the grocery store and used it for chili dogs at my house. I can honestly say that I was totally disappointed with my lunch. I got 2 chili dogs with onions and mustard. When my food arrived I had 2 dogs covered with about 10 pounds of tasteless cheese. The mustard could not be tasted and the chili's flavor was overwhelmed by all the cheese. My advice to ski line would be to switch to a sharp Cheddar cheese and not pile on so much on my hot dog and to switch over to French's mustard. Between my dogs and my wife's cheese fries my total bill was somewhere round $13 plus tip. The Next time I get a craving for chili cheese dogs I will go to the store and buy my chili and cook my own dogs that way I will save a few bucks and get a better tasting hot dog. read more

So first and foremost this is a seat yourself restaurant so do not wait in line to get a table. Came here at a little past noon which means it's super busy. The drive thru line had about 15 people in it so we decided to eat inside. Very nice decor inside and plenty of staff so the wait for getting my food was only about 7 minutes. During a lunch hour rush, that is impressive. Food was not super amazing, I would say it's slightly better than gold star chili here. I had the 5 way chili with a cheese coney, my coney was able on par with other places that serve coneys but I will say the 5 way chili was a bit better. I dont know if I will be returning to this place anytime soon, it didnt spark my tastebuds to the point of me craving some skyline. Also, it is a bit on the pricey side for just spaghetti and cheese, my whole meal, 5 way chili, cheese coney and a drink was almost $13. Could have went to a nicer dine in place for that price. It's official. They have converted me. I grew up in northern Kentucky and I always ate gold star, and I was under the false assumption that it was better. My service was terrible; saw the server to take order and deliver Check. She was very unfriendly. However she had lengthy conversations with the table of guys next to me.
