I was visiting Ohio for thanksgiving weekend and everyone was saying how I needed to try Skyline Chili at least once. In my opinion, it's kinda pricey for what you get. The chili itself does not like appetizing. It also tastes how it looks.. It was a decent hot dog all together. Very small for $3 something. The hot dogs a little smaller than my hand. The chili spaghetti was actually bad. Very very dry and the chili... once again. It tastes like fake meat. There's no flavor to me. I'm glad I tried it for the experience but I'd probably never get it again. read more

This is our go-to Skyline since it's the closest to where we live. Well, what can I say about Skyline that hasn't already been said ? They seem to define Cincinnati chili, and this location seems to do it better than any of them. Clean, quiet, efficient--service is always friendly and attentive. My family loves Skylines Chili. I was first introduced to Skylines when we moved to Ohio in the early seventies, into Mt. Healthy @ 14 I wasn't sure I'd like it but, once I'd had a Chili dog; I was hooked. Then, ten years later (in Clifton) I was introduced too the three way @ Skyline and that was the staple of my diet while at U.C. Now my family makes a Night of it. As a native Cincinnati-an, loving Skyline Chili is in my DNA. I was born and raised in West Chester, and there is no shortage of Skyline Chili locations at my disposal. This location is a personal favorite due to location and friendly service. I honestly have never had a bad experience at Skyline, and would recommend anything on their menu. A few of my usual go-to menu items includes the 4-way (noodles topped with classic Skyline chili and amazingly light/ fluffy cheddar cheese and choice of onions or beans), the coneys ( hot dog topped with the same mouth-watering ingredients (chili + cheese) mustard and onions). I'm sure this will be the unpopular opinion. However, I wasn't a fan of Skyline. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Cincinnati chili. Cincinnati chili is chili with cinnamon in it. It's just weird and that's not how I grew up eating chili. However, I respect it and tried to give it another try to see if maybe the taste would grow on me. Unfortunately, it didn't. I ordered a Chili 5-Way with a side Greek salad. I love the concept of the 5-way but I just wasn't a fan of the chili. The side salad was actually pretty good. Recently we had a few meals at this Skyline (747) location. We stopped going here many years ago because we felt the quality wasn't as good as some of the others. Our primary Skyline location, off Union Center is being remodeled. So, with that we gave the 747 location another try and it's been pretty good. Keep up the good quality 747 Skyline - we hope to make you our regular location. Plus, you are much closer to our home than the Union Center spot. read more

Ordered a large amount of chili (2 gallons) for work event. Patricia (Manager) was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. She helped me through the process of ordering, even suggesting some items I hadn't though about. When I arrived at the store my items were prepared ahead of time and waiting in boxes. This is a mid western staple. Listen, no one comes here for the aesthetic or fun vibe. The food is just good plain and simple. I got a four way with cheese, chili, onion, and mustard over noodles. So good. I also got the same on a hotdog. They use an absurd amount of cheese which is just standard and it doesn't disappoint. If you know what you're getting into before going to this place you won't be disappointed at all. It's not a standard chili either so don't even think of it as that but man it's good. read more

I always have to eat here when I'm back in town visiting! My favorites are cheese coneys with no onions or mustard and the three way! The fries are also very good and crispy. Sweet tea is a little too sweet for me so I always do half sweet and half unsweet & it's the perfect combo. read more

Skyline is a local institution. It is the McDonald's of chili: good, inexpensive, consistent, bright and clean. I like the chili despite my better instincts. Check that. I LOVE their chili. The cheese is very orange, as God intended. I get the 4-way (belay the sexual innuendo here, please. Act like an adult.) and have been known to get an extra chili bowl and pour it on top. I buy cans and make it at home and put in over tortilla chips, french fries and baked potatoes. Listen: there is better chili. There is only one Skyline. Alright, so I am a Cincinnati transplant from Texas and Arkansas. So I am definitely no stranger to good chili. Naturally, when I was told of Cincinnati's own Skyline chili, I became intrigued. But upon hearing that chili is poured over spaghetti noodles and then topped with cheese? I shuddered. You see, I am a chili purist. Spaghetti mixed with chili? That's so college... As a result, I waited for almost a year before trying this out. Verdict? Exactly as the 3 star rating indicates: A-OK. What I liked about my experience: - The noodles were not cooked to a deathly mush. - The chili had decent flavor. - The habanero cheese added an additional depth of flavor. - The raw onion pierced through the saltiness. What I did not like about my experience: - The noodles take away from the chili's taste. - The chili tasted a bit too salty, no doubt due to the need to flavor the noodles. - The raw onion takes away from the chili's taste. Overall, Skyline chili definitely is not among my top choices for lunch or dinner. I will say this, though, the service at this particular location is excellent. The staff was very friendly and warm. My order was packed up and served very quickly. I wish all fast food locations had similar quality of service. I suppose this chili just isn't all that to me. read more

My first time ever at a skyline chili. I'm from this area but haven't lived here for 25 years. And honestly had never had skyline chili ever. Was driving by the side to try it out. It's fast food spaghetti with chili on top. They call it Cincinnati style but, I'm not really sure. It wasn't bad. It's fast food. It is what it is. I have to say though that every employee that I came in contact with at this location was friendly and fun. They quickly help me decide what to get. They had my order ready very fast and packaged nicely because I needed it to go. The restaurant was very clean and very busy. We moved to Ohio after living in the West our whole lives and when we arrived everyone said we had to try the chili. I will admit that I was surprised to find it pretty tasty. I travel extensively in the Tri-state area and have had the fortune of eating at probably close to all Skyline Chili restaurants around here, including Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville. This particular restaurant is by far MY FAVORITE!!! The staff is amazing (friendly, outgoing, timely and ones you really want to have as "friends"!). I'm so torn. The reviews for this location sing praise. I haven't encountered that yet. The people are friendly, the service is ok but the food is very inconsistent. I am a die hard Skyline fan. Recently moved back to the area. I've encountered great food to poor food at this location. The nights got so bad, we stopped going. Last night, my friends were working late so I decided on something quick and close. The food was hot, the chili covered the coney end to end. The amount of cheese, perfect! After a better than average experience last night, I went again tonight. Wish I hadn't!! The buns were crusty, the skin on the hotdogs was scorched, there wasn't any chili on the coneys. It was all soaked into the bun!! Come on now!!! This is what drives customers away. The employees were friendly; I went for the food! Fix that, I could be a regular! I have lived in the Cincinnati area all my life and Skyline Chili has always been one of my favorite places to eat. It's gotten to the point where me and my family don't need any time to consider what we want. We each have our "usuals." What's also great about Skyline is that you can go there very hungry and not have to wait at all for your food. It comes super fast. Plus you get mini bowls of oyster crackers to munch on while you wait. Plus the kitchen is open so you can see your food being cooked and have no question of what you're getting. The food is very good and filling, and the cheese is sharp and piled on! The chili is not spicy but it has lots of flavor and their spaghetti is excellent. I definitely recommend this place. read more
