I called Skyline in early May and made an appointment for an A/C install consult, scheduled the day after our new house closed. They were very courteous and professional over the phone and have terrific reviews so I was feeling great about working with them. Thursday of last week I called to confirm my appointment today and...crickets. Hoping they would still show, I took time off of work to sit in my new empty house for two hours and...nope. Since I had two hours to sit and stare at the walls I read through their past reviews and it seems they either knock it our of the park...or completely blow you off - one extreme or the other. If you decide to use them I'd recommend asking tough questions about their schedule and how booked up they are to avoid them wasting your time too. read more

They are great! I paid 140+tax to my previous technician but just got the result that our AC is out of power and they cannot do anything about it! So after the technician was here to get the power on I contacted Skyline, they are cheaper but more helpful! Robert was here for about 30 minutes and he just fixed it without additional charge! Our furnance went out this past winter, and Skyline was super helpful in helping us get it fixed. We had several quotes on replacing the furnace but that would have taken 3+ months as appliances were on back order. I sent some messages out on yelp to get several different quotes for my furnace service. Skyline had the most reasonable quote and answered me right away on a Sunday afternoon! They sent out their guy the very next morning. Robert came right on time and did a great job. He let me know everything I needed to know about my furnace concerns. Then also took a look at my fireplace that just happened to stop working the day before also. Turned out it just needed to be cleaned and there was no charge for him to take a look! My grandmas furnace was blowing cold air for 2 days. We are always so worried someone will take advantage of her whenever we need repairs. The furnace is 20 years old and we were worried it would have to be replaced. Scott ran a bunch of tests, did some much needed maintenance and replaced a small part. I am very confused by Skyline Heating and Cooling--I would love to change this review if they would just get back to me with a quote. Scott came over and was very courteous and wonderful in person. Since then, it's been over 6 weeks and he has not provided a quote. I called several times and each time he was very nice and said he'd send a quote soon. However, a quote never came. Now he has stopped answering my phone calls despite the fact I have left a couple of voicemails. I've never dealt with a company so unwilling to take my money. As a first house buyer, I had no idea what I had to look for when it came to furnace. Rob(technician/owner) who came to my house was shown with mask up, and kindly walked me thru all things that I needed to know about the furnace. More importantly based on the current conditions of my furnace, he informed me of what was going to happen in certain situations and what would be the options when things would go south. Knowing what could happen with my furnace, I could definitely rest assured. Even he helped me understand what those wires for in the furnace as I told him that I was going to install Google Nest. Our ancient and fairly complex hydronic furnace (heated water through pipes) croaked yesterday. The house was real cold so I scrambled to find someone on Yelp. The place I called was highly rated but was booked weeks out; he referred me to Scott / Skyline. Scott showed up on time, made it clear that he could help with some parts of the system but not all, was very pleasant, and methodically diagnosed the problem to be a controller after a couple hours. He rigged up a temporary fix but cautioned that the long-term solution was to order and install a new part. His after-hours fee was reasonable. Since I am handy I am going to attempt to order and replace the controller myself, though Scott's price for part + installation was reasonable and quick. I will call him if I get stuck. read more

I had a furnace installed last year by another furnace company that had a strange setup for replacing filters (the filters did not have a slot-according to the manual we had the angle the filters into a V-shaped funnel). Long story short-the other company was not able/willing to help us figure out the filter. Scott & one of his guys came out and refashioned the furnace to have a simple filter door/slot system. I've had to call them twice . First time because our ancient furnace stopped working. A second time to day because the thermostat in our house seemed to have gone bye bye and we had no heat. Both times I was able to get same day appointments. The first time the igniter they put in failed, they promptly came out and replaced it no charge. Their quotes are honest and they are very responsive. I used Yelp's get a quote thing and got several quotes but finally settled on them because they were one of the few that were actually willing to give actual best guess estimates with numbers instead of ambiguities. The techs coming out have always been very courteous and patient with me and the landlady here who has limited English language skills. They always have arrived within their estimated time window and are not at all reluctant to keep you apprised if they think they might be late --- they haven't been ever late btw. Over the phone they give best guess estimates and the high side is more often higher than others. But both times the actual bill was waay towards the low end. So we have never been hit with sticker shock. Besides their responsive, courtesy of their staff , and willingness to stand behind their work their most impressive quality is integrity and honesty! They very well could have charged us more for this and that but they gave us an honest appraisal of the situation performed the repairs necessary. Would have been very easy for them to overcharge, upsell us but they didn't. I'm pretty savvy but a senior citizen the land lady isn't very English savvy or home repair savvy but they were courteous and patient with us and explained everything to us. Will definitely call them again should the need arise and would not hesitate one bit to recommend!!!! Its not always the best and least costly that gives the lowest estimates sometimes its the other way around. read more

Robert Patton Skyline Heating and Cooling 425-419-3657 A week ago, we had a local Heating and AC company send out a technician to come to service our furnace. The technician seemed capable enough, but he told us that we needed a new thermostat and a new furnace soon. He said that our furnace was too old to repair and it should be replaced soon. A few days later, our furnace started blowing cold air only. We put in a new thermostat but it did not make any difference. At that point we started searching for a new technician. The local outfit offered to send out their "more experienced" technician, but we were leery of people who'd rather sell than fix. After reading the rave Yelp reviews on Skyline and Robert, we called him. First of all, his service call rate is reasonable. He showed up on time and he patiently explained his diagnosis and work. Plus, he works on both furnaces and fireplaces. It seems that it is hard to find people that will work on gas fireplaces. We haven't had ours checked in many years. Robert told us that we don't need a new furnace. He's ordered new parts and he will return on Monday to fix the furnace. So, we will spend about hundreds for both calls and parts, instead of spending thousands for a new furnace. We are so pleased that we found a nice, responsible, honest technician, that we wanted to share this info. We recommend Robert! read more

He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient describing the state of our furnace, explaining the issue and walking us through how he was going to fix it. He was able to find a replacement blower for our aging furnace buying us more time to save up for a furnace replacement. Well deserved 5 star Yelp review. Contacted Skyline Heating through Yelp, and heard back almost immediately. Diagnostic rate was a reasonable 105.00. Had been quoted more than double that by other local companies. They scheduled an appointment within 2 days, even though my need wasn't super urgent. Was given a 3 hour window, and Robert the technician was great. Texted me as requested 45 minutes before he was going to be at my house, and was there within 30 minutes of the scheduled appt. He walked me through what was wrong with my furnace, and made recommendations on items that should be replaced and explained why. But what really stood out to me is that I was long overdue for some much needed maintenance. He didn't judge me or fault me for that lapse, and offered to convert the diagnostic fee to a maintenance service for only 20 additional dollars!! Many other companies would have just tacked that on! My service was fast, professional, and I feel a very good value compared to other companies I've used in the past. I will always look to Skyline for my future needs, and have already recommended them to a friend looking for fireplace repair. read more
