I'd give Pure Air six stars if I could! Peter was super responsive and helpful, and solved everything on our checklist. Our entire HVAC duct system was very thoroughly cleaned by him, and the furnace, heat pump and mini split were maintained and carefully cleaned as well. He also figured out a way to upgrade our older wireless thermostat to do what we wanted without requiring wiring. He showed us all of the work he was doing as he was doing it and did not charge suggest or charge for anything unnecessary. The pricing was fair and transparent, and his expertise in HVAC was clear. They were able to come out very soon after my initial request, and all communication was prompt and friendly. After being frustrated with not so great service from two other vendors in the past, Peter and Pure provided hands down the best HVAC experience we've had and we're switching over to Pure for both annual maintenance and to install another mini split later this year. read more

Not sure about the expertise of the technician. I had a furnace issue and the technician came out quick, but spend almost the entire day, trying to diagnose the issue. Over charge service like probing the return air which wasn't necessary. In the end, quoted me thousands of dollars to install an alternative return duct. After hiring another contractor, they fixed the issue in 1 hours without the need to either prob or install a new duck. Would recommend avoid this place. read more

Anthony's quote was over half less than the other quotes. He came out the next day. He offered to clean the dryer duct, or replace with non-corrugated metal ducting. The price was right and he had it replaced in 2 hours, even having to go through covering insulation. Cleaned up after himself and did great work! read more

So our heat pump had broken on a Sunday, during a heat wave, and I called them to try and get someone to come by and repair it as soon as possible. They were able to come out the same day, which was such a relief. Sam came by and he took a look, and told us that our ECM needs to be replaced, but unfortunately the store that sells the part was closed, it was Sunday at 7:30pm, so of course. He mentioned he would follow up early next day to confirm if they got the part and schedule the service to repair. He literally called me 8am the next morning, and came by around 10am. Like, talk about service! Sam honestly was just so friendly, knowledgeable, chill and so professional, I'm so happy he was the tech who serviced us. Such a great individual. They handled the part under warranty and I was just charged for the labor which was so reasonably priced. I usually have a different company I work with to service my heat pump, furnace and all that...but I really loved how responsive and friendly they were, my husband and I are ditching the old company and using them for maintenance in the future now. They came and offered a basic service for around $400. Then said they could do a "reverse" flow duct cleaning for $700, which would do a better job. They cut into the plenum that sends heat and cooling to my ducts to perform the service and would result in a cleaner outcome. They used a truck mounted vacuum to pull air backwards through the system. I was unable to see what they did next and it seems like they were in a hurry to get the job done. I doubt that they cleaned all the registers when I came back to see what the status was on completing the job. They left quickly and left my dirty furnace air filter in my recycling bin. The next day, I called a big-name company, and they told me I needed a brand-new AC and furnace because a part had burnt out on my 18-year-old unit. Their quote? Between $16,000 and $22,000. I get that my system is old and will eventually need replacing, but spending that much--when I originally paid $5,500 for it--was crazy to me. I told them I'd get a second opinion and called Pure Air. It was after 5 PM, but Alex still came out that same evening. He confirmed the part was burnt out but said there was no rush to replace the entire system. He explained everything in plain language, was patient with my questions, and didn't pressure me at all. He admitted a new unit might be in my future, but for now, all I needed was the part replaced. By the end of the night, my AC was back up and running--on a 90+ degree day--and I avoided spending thousands I didn't need to. Anthony from Pure Air Cooling & Heating was excellent! Needed two smart thermostats installed: one was simple and just needed adjusted wall anchoring. The other turned out much more complex due to wiring issue. Anthony was able to diagnose the issue, attempt a fix using parts from the Smart Thermostat, and eventually suggested moving the thermostat to a better location while fixing the wiring issue. The rewiring did cost extra, but Anthony was knowledgeable and efficient and was worth the reasonable price! Would use again! read more

Arrived home from a trip and the house was 50 degrees. Heater was not working (obviously) and we were in a panic since we are selling our house. Not a good look when the heat doesn't work! Put a request in thru Yelp which sent to multiple companies (this was at 6am) and almost right away Pure Air replied. They then called me and said they could get me in at 6pm. I said I don't want to pay for after hours and he said that they don't charge extra for after hours - normal cost which was $79 for them to come out and give an estimate and it is waived if we use them. I said great - please put me on the list for 6pm and he also informed me that if a job cancels - he will call me and come over. Luckily for us, a job cancelled, and he called me at 12:30pm and was at my house by 1pm. He checked out the furnace and realized that we needed a new motor. He informed us that the closest motor was in Auburn and he would go get it and possibly come back that night or early the next morning. Again, we were happy that someone could even come out and help -- so we were good with it. The stars aligned and he found a motor in Kirkland and we had heat and life is good now. Highly recommend this company - met and exceeded all of my expectations and he definitely understood the urgency regarding heat - which is always nice! read more

Amazing experience! My furnace went out after I had been traveling for awhile and needed help. I reached out to Pure Air Cooling and Heating and got a response immediately. It was very easy to schedule for service. I had a very old furnace and Sean was very professional and patient when figuring out what could be going wrong with it. After identifying issues with the wires coming out of the furnace, he identified that he did not have some of the specialized materials to fix the problem and so drove to a nearby Lowe's to get them and fix the problem on the same day. I highly recommend! We recently moved into a home with a new mini split. The contractors who installed the unit installed it incorrectly and the AC/heat was not working. We called around to all the local companies and nobody would service the unit since they didn't install but they made the trip out and charged us the trip fee.
