Went on a Sunday afternoon to the driving range. They have really improved it since the new management. No issues there. However, what they need to work on is the food. We ordered the nachos, burger and tots and were realllllly disappointed. I almost wanted to ask for a refund. The nacho chips were either very stale or under fried and toppings were sad. My bf got the burger and said the veggies in it tasted weird and the tots were kinda warm, not hot. The guy at the snack window also said 10 minutes and we waited 20+ minutes for very okay food. So definitely come for the golf and drinks but NOT the food. read more

Wow, from a caterpillar to a butterfly. This is has how much Skylinks has changed since Kiwi, Mickey, and Mary took over ownership. Where I do I start....New paint, new mats, cart paths, electric carts, golf simulator in the pro shop, remodeled pro shop, new bunkers, volleyball nets, jumpy houses for the kids, food cart, music on the driving range, and many other upgrades. The pro shop rivals any bar with their selection of beers, wines, and other adult beverages. More importantly, the vibe is off the chain!!!! Kiwi (owner) makes one feel like family. All the proshop staff are super friendly, especially Nancy (hottie) and Ian (cool cat). The golf instruction is fantastic with Russell (head pro) and Jenny. Russell has a unique teaching ability to assist golfers at every level and you will be happy with his instruction. Best part is their employee of the month wall with Crisco and Birdie (golf pups) winning each month ......I like to nominate Archie the cat for the month of August...lol. Please do yourself a favor and check out Skylinks at Buchannan Fields even if you don't play golf, you will enjoy the vibes while having an adult beverage on the patio. This is my first driving range review - and the first one I've found that deserves to be rated. As you can see from the other reviews, ownership has recently changed hands. Staff here now is friendly and helpful, the place has been updated (and continues to be updated), and I concur with everyone saying the new owners are doing a great job with the overall customer experience. Here's some examples: fresh paint (and inviting local artists) on the walls separating individual bays. New lights installed in the overhangs. Yardage markers actually laser out to accurate yardages. Multiple bucket sizes from very small to huge two-handed buckets. It's pretty busy now, especially since nearby Boundary Oak's range is closed for renovations and updates. I'm hoping once they reopen, Skylinks traffic returns to past levels. But either way, a really good experience and more than I expect from a local driving range. read more

We love coming here. My son, husband and I take turns at the driving range while my daughter plays on the bouncy houses. It's casual and a great family place. They also have First Tee classes here. Love that they have added food, although currently the service is pretty slow on the food. Love that there is ice cream inside for purchase for kids. More shade in the outside space would be amazing but with the improvements rolling in fast this isn't a complaint just an observation that with summer coming more shade would be awesome. read more

If you haven't been here in the past year or so, you need to make it a point to get your butt down here. I stopped by on a rainy Friday at noon since my club's driving range was closed due to rain. Almost every one of their 50 bays were occupied but I was able to find a spot right away. That's a good sign when they're that busy during a weekday. Staff inside was helpful and friendly. We chatted briefly about their party size bucket of range balls which holds over 400 balls. Way too much for me but apparently some folks will regularly hit the entire bucket in an hour! Mats, balls, ball dispensers- everything has been replaced within the past year. I remember when you would be happy to get a handful of new balls in the bucket. I would say most balls are near new. The older scuffed up balls, I use for warm up and chip shots. They have lights and are open until 10pm, they have a very good beer selection, they have lounge chairs and tables set up behind some bays, music is pumped through outdoor speakers. I have a feeling they are working to become something like a Topgolf. They just need table service :) Get your game in shape at Skylinks! They have a practice green and chipping/ bunker area as well. read more

TLDR: If you're a golfer looking for a course to practice on a lot, Skylinks is a perfect 9-hole destination to keep your game sharp and budget in check. Skylinks has a very important role in the bay area golf ecosystem. This course isn't a stunning PGA tour green with sweeping vistas and scenery, but it does provide a perfect balance of affordable and enjoyable. It's one of the few courses where you can play a $20-ish round of golf on a weekend at any time of the day. For more expensive courses I have to sneak into weekday twilight rates just to fit a golf game into my budget. It's only 9 holes and it's a walking only course, but for me that's honestly works great. A nice little walking cardio action and a game that wraps up in about 2 hours. The truth is I'm just getting started at golfing and to have a course that affords me the opportunity to get in-game practice without going broke is such a welcome addition. It's about 25 minutes from my house but I make the drive in a heartbeat. It's not perfect and sometimes the greens can get ugly, but i love this damn place for what it is. Clearly there's a new ownership group that saw the potential and thus far I'm really grateful for their vision. Looking forward to seeing this place grow with all the TLC they're putting in. read more

While I appreciate the effort made by the new owners to bring in business, I would have preferred they put money into the course, not a play area for kids and a food truck. Played 9 holes on June 29, and would have had better luck putting on the fairways than the greens. The greens had big bare patches with no grass that caused putts to bounce like they're on a plinko board. Again, I appreciate what they're trying to do, but if you want to charge more then the conditions have to be better. read more

It a great 9 hole! Wonderful for a beginner or if you want to practice without getting pushed up on. New management is great too!

Now under new ownership, this is my favorite place in the PleasantConcordCreekMart area to practice my game! They have really upgraded the range, putting and chipping greens. I haven't played a round yet but from what I can see in the pro shop and the vibe I get when walking up, the management is working hard to welcome golfers of all ages and skill levels. They have bucket sizes to accommodate all needs and even offer a game where you can get win an upgrade to the jumbo sized bucket! Definitely a place to check out at all times of the day as they open at 6am every day except for Tuesday and close at 10pm. I look forward to playing 9 holes here very soon! read more

This is the first place I golfed when I was younger. Ever since then it feels like the golf course has only been getting better in condition. The course is basic, but is the perfect place for beginner golfers to learn the way of the sport. The course itself is decently green, although still has its instances of brown areas on the fairways and greens. The distances for each hole although are very reasonable for the beginner golfer, not needing much distance to keep a decent score. Personal favorite hole is hole 7, a longer par three on the course but a skinnier fairway that makes the challenge a little harder. This is what you will usually see from every hole on the course. The par 4s are also a nice change of pace from the normal shorter par 3s, needing a driver or long iron off the tee too make up for the extra distance. The driving range also is decent for what it is. The balls have never been overpriced and the pads that are hit off of usually stay in at least decent condition. The food place is also good as well, with drinks and decent food that do the job well (the fries are recommended ). Overall, not anything to call home about, but maybe just a few buddies for a weekend round. read more

The prices are extremely reasonable for both the driving range and the actual golf course! I've been coming here 20 years and I have NEVER seen the range and coarse in this condition!! The new owners are doing a phenomenal job and working hard to ensure a great experience! So much so as I have been bringing my kids to the Range to learn golf and in great new atmosphere! Music playing, couches to relax on, great beer menu and the Taco truck is tasty! We have been coming to this course for years and always have fun. We haven't gone recently because now we have little kids and life is busier. I've heard good things about the new ownership and randomly met one of the owners at Starbucks when I was there with my kid a little hike back and he was there with his kid. He told me about a family night with food and it being fun to bring everyone and hit at the range. This sounds awesome! I've been searching online for their website or to get info, every Google search brings up the adult golf club. There is also no website connected to this Yelp page, so I'm still looking for it. This place has good hours, they seem to be open most of the time. It's a good place for practicing since they have plenty of space and their basket of golf balls are at a good price compared to others around. Although their golf course is not in the best shape...it does need work, the price to play is at a good price, around $13 for a game. read more
