Absolutely horrible, leaking window and nobody is fixing it!…read more Short Story: My Girlfriends window is leaking after they replaced it, and the car is smelling horrible due to standing water. They broke trim pieces while they did it. I complained, and are sending me in circles without any attempt of fixing this. They are not picking up my calls anymore and I am GHOSTED. They will not give you a receipt until you annoy the hell out of them. THERE IS NO PHYSICAL ADDRESS or office, the guy on the phone will only give you email addresses into nirvana. (If you google any of their addresses their is NO SHOP, they are all random addresses) IT IS ALL JUST A BIG SCAM, at least their customer service. Just go somewhere else and save yourself the headache. Long Story, If you have the time.... I have gotten mine and my Girlfriends windshield replaced due to rock chips. On my car they have decided not to show up to the original appointment after calling them, they told me that my appointment was moved without notifying me. (I stayed home from work that day). They then cam later and did my car and it was OK. The real horror story was my Girlfriends Car. It was cold and snowing that day so they asked if they could use my heated Garage to do the shop. (I did) Car was done and I was letting the glue cure in the heated garage for a couple of days. After a couple of weeks my girlfriend realized a foul smell in the car. We realized that both passenger as well as driver side floor and padding was soaked in gross water. We realized that the windshield was leaking. Called Skyview, they asked for an email, so we wrote an email. Since 3 weeks I am calling multiple times a week trying to schedule the windshield replacement. Since then I have not received 1 call back or an email or any attempt to reach out to me to fix it. I hear different excuses every time I call, "waiting for a new window", "window got broken we are waiting for a new one", "there are only Junior Techs available no senior", so on and so on.... Furthermore, did they break plastic trim pieces around the car that are now flopping in the wind on the interstate. (They didn't even care to glue it down or anything) Another thing that is strange, I paid cash both times and both times because it was cheaper than card and they do NOT give you a receipt. For my Car it took only a day or 2 to get it after i called but for my Girlfriends it took 2 weeks! Every time i called them I asked for a receipts. what the internet has told me trying to figure out how to contact them: CEO Amir Jerbi, and the guy on the phone John Robert. (But i think they just got so many complains that Amir names himself John now.) All addresses are wrong, the only thing I found are from Tax records - 336 W 1ST ST STE 113, FLINT, MI 48502. Even their Indiana numbers connect to Michigan, so I think it is just 1 or 2 guys running this, and having a couple of cars running around. (maybe they are even external contractors doing the work.....) Sumup: I am deeply regretting my decision to go with this company. We have a car now that we can't drive in the rain and has to live in the garage. We have put hours of cleaning her car in and trying to get rid of that awful smell. Hoping that this negative review will motivate them to fix the windshield or refund me my money otherwise I will take them to a small claims court to get my money back.

I have more than one crack and one is definitely going to grow bigger as it gets colder. Their window is 6 hours, that's a large window of time to sit around and wait for them to come around. They charge $35 to recycle the window and $50 to come out to you. My quote was $520.28, that's reasonable for out of pocket. The tech arrived in his transit by 12:28pm. I got a text to tell me arrived and it had his pic too, good for safety measures. I met Safelite tech, Kevin by 12:29pm. I am his 4th window replacement today. He used a fiber wire to cut the urethane seal off. It's actually the first time I have ever watched the process for the removal and install of a windshield. They need to remove the urethane to about 2mm. I was paid and done by 1:54pm. $ It cost me $531.47, a bit more than quoted. Kevin told me I could drive off in about a half hour and can remove the tape in about 2 hours. All told it took about 1.5 hours today. Kevin was careful during the removal and installment process. He was friendly and sociable too. He's a well seasoned and experienced tech for sure.

It went from a bullet size hole and cracked across the windshield within hours and further overnight. It's been over a week and it didn't crack more then 12 inches or so since. Rimon, the Safelite tech was at the condo by 10:30am, he seemed nice and arrived before his text messaged estimated time. He told us it would take about and hour. He showed us how much he would be collecting for the windshield replacement, it would be $353+ and showed me the bill before we parted to let him do his thing. He said he could call me when he's done. I said yes. He was done after 45 minutes or so. I got a text from Safelite as well as a call from the tech when he finished. He asked if I would be driving it soon or today at all. I said maybe later. He was happy to remove the setting tape for me. I said it was fine. He suggested letting it set for a couple of hours if possible. The tech was quick with running my credit card and a receipt was to be sent to my email. He was deft, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I like this easy and convenient process and will definitely do it again. Hoping it's a long while before I have to replace my windshield from road debris again though. The tech reminded me that there's a lifetime warranty on the windshield. Good to know. Truly a five star experience at Prestige Detail from start to end! Davis and his team are…read moreexcellent. We did Paint Protection Film (PPF) on everything forward of A pillar (hood, bumper, etc.), the level 3 Ceramic package (full exterior plus wheel barrels and faces), Ceramic tint on front windows to match rears, and finally clear (70%) ceramic tint windshield to reduce UV heat. These guys are meticulous and go the extra mile- right down to taking wheels off to airbrush on the ceramic coating. We could not be happier and look forward to returning for detailing. Some background: We acquired a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe which had a 'Satin Matte' finish, which you can't take through a car wash, and there was a small blemish on the door that became burnished (shiny) from dealership folks rubbing it. Looked up a few places to call and consult with, and Davis was a kind wealth of knowledge who was eager to educate me and answer all my questions. Learned really fast through amazing education by Davis, and the internet, that fixing scratches/blemishes on Satin paint jobs pretty much equates to repainting the panel, and it will never match. The industry body shop standard is to repaint one entire side of a vehicle so the miss-match is less obvious to the eye. Future me may never go Matte/Satin again but for now we wanted to help protect the paint job and make washing / maintenance less burdensome. To that end we went with the full Ceramic treatment. Ceramic coating wasn't going to help rock chips or heavy impact, so knowing paint issues aren't really fixable we went with PPF for the front clip. Prestige Detail also taught me how fundamentally different, see superior, ceramic tinting is over 'carbon' tint film. I've had five or six cars with front window tint that matches rears and seeing out through them, especially in rain, has always been a challenge at night, with the ceramic the visibility is incredible. I'm a changed man! We had some damage to our current lease that is due back soon and Davis was able to steer me on options, and give me a cost idea on repair to weigh against the excess damage charge I calculated. The thing I appreciated most of all is how well Davis sets expectations, and communicates the finer points so there's no assumptions.

That replacement took over 4 hours because the first windshield they installed cracked before they even delivered it to me. They offered me a $100 gift card as compensation and never sent it to me. I decided to give them another chance. The repair should have been covered under their warranty because there was no apparent cause for the crack (it appeared to be a stress fracture) but AFTER doing the work, they claimed that it was due to a chip. I asked to inspect the windshield that they replaced and they told me that it had already been thrown in the recycling bin and taken away. They had taken a photo, and it does not show the chip they said was there. I asked to see the manager. A man entered the waiting room. His demeanor was dismissive and confrontational. Instead of introducing himself as the manager, he addressed me as "the Outback" (make of my car) and insisted that the crack started from a chip, according to his technician. I called their corporate headquarters in search of someone who cared and no one called me back. Glass America has poor quality of work and absence of integrity.
