I really love this shop! Took my daughter to get her nails done for the first time on her birthday and they didn't disappoint. They treated her like the princess she is and made sure she got exactly what she wanted for a great price. Thank you jay we will come back again!

Jay is the shop owner and is super chill. He is the only one I trust to do my nails. He shapes them perfectly and can do any design you ask for with no issues. He's amazing! I go to Nini for my pedicures and she always does a great job as well. I highly recommend his shop!

I was looking forward to getting my nails done in a salon close to my house and prior I went to a nail salon that was by work. Accidentally got Gel X because I didn't know the nail world all that much. The first lady was so nice up until she realized I had Gel X and everything seemed to tumble from there. She was roughly handling my hands, chipped my nails and didn't even get everything off. The second lady was nice but her painting skills weren't that great. It was sheer in some places and globs on the other. The reference picture, I admit had small tiny flowers and the third person was nice about it but even when I said he could make the flowers bigger, it just looked sloppy. Couldn't even get it redone because I had work as soon as I was done. Hated it and decided to get press-ons from Target.

Love their work every time jay is very professional and takes time in his work and checks for quality throughout the service my nails are beautifully done the perfect amount of acrylic it feels like I'm just wearing my natural nail will be back again in 1 month for a fill and color change also their pedicures are amazing as well

Made appt and sat for an HOUR before they told me they couldn't do it that day. They had started to take off my gel polish so I advised them they had to at least repaint my toes. Not going back again. The owner did apologize and didn't charge me but I didn't get the pedicure I wanted before leaving town on vacation. No time to go somewhere else and they look 1/2 a** UGHHHHHHH!!! read more

SL had no problem making me a same day appointment. The outside of the building looks alittle rough (sun damage) but the inside was clean and pretty. My manicure was well priced (I think $30 for a gel). I took a star off only because it took a very long time, almost an hour just to remove my old gel polish before we even started the new one. read more

do not recommend this salon. i booked an appointment for 11:30 got stuck in traffic and he said he could only do one person. then on top of that was ripping two much side skin off of my toes. read more

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. I came in to get a pedicure once before a couple months ago, and the man was extremely rude and didn't even put forth the effort of holding a conversation. This pedi was sub par, nothing special at all. I called again to schedule an appointment for mani/pedi today, and they answered the phone so rudely. I asked if they had anything available for 2 and he said "no come at 3" I responded nicely, as I work in customer service and understand. After me thanking him anyway, he said "so you don't want it for 3?" and before I could even say anything else, he grunted and hung up on me. I'm genuinely disappointed with this place. Their reviews look good, but I'd 110% rather go somewhere where the employees are at least somewhat pleasant. read more

I always come here to get my nails done. Before SL I haven't had a set nail place I go to. Ive been coming here consistantly since tbey opened. The staff is very kind, love when Jay does my nails! Their facilities are sterile and organized. Definitely recommend and there has never had a wait every time I do come. read more

If I could give zero starts, I totally would! I booked a few appointments directly on their website for me and some family members for today. We went for the appointment and they had a very small sign on their window by the door that they were closed for today and their doors were locked. Not one person there. The Open sign was even on in their window. Maybe y'all should update your website stating that your closed up and you cannot accept appointments when your closed. I went to their website at around 3:00pm and made the appointments for 4:30pm. So annoying that we drove there ready for a relaxing pedicure and it's all closed up. Not good business! read more

I came back to get a new gel manicure on my 3 week old nails. Of course, I asked for Nini again since I was so impressed with her work. As always, she did not disappoint. This time I asked her to do yellow on my nails. Nini is so great as a nail tech that she told me shes going to do my yellow nails with a white base so they stand out more. I thought that was very thoughtful cause any nail salon would've just slapped on the color on in multiple layers. Again, for those looking for a great nail tech, I recommend Nini as she takes her time! Also, I went today on a Sunday and it seems to get super busy between 1-2! Three days ago, I decided to go back to acrylic after getting gel manicures for about 2 years. I usually get the pink/white acrylic but decided to try something different. Went with peach ombre'. Trust me they look MUCH worse in person. Wide, thick, overlay on cuticles, side skin glued, no arch just sticking straight out. I went in today to ask if they could thin them out them down and narrow them out a little bit they said "they don't look thick"! I'm the paying customer and having done nails from 1985-1995 I know a little bit about how a nail should look and this shape is not right for my nail bed. I'll fix them, let them grow out/off and back to gel! read more

I decided to treat myself to get my nails done and let me tell you this nail salon has got to be one of the best ones I've been too in 6 months. I went in and they all greeted me with a warm hello, everyone smiled. I wanted a specific design and the guy who helped me did an amazing job. They close at 7 last night and I went in a little later. The only down side about it was the prices but hey!! If they do an amazing job I will definitely pay the price. It's hard to find a home base salon and I believe I found mine. Thank you to all the SL workers for your great hospitality. I will definitely come back. Oh and they guy that helped me was VERY gentle and patient. They also offered me some water or SODA. Ever since I found this place , I have never gone anywhere else. The staff is always so kind! I love coming here , they have so many color choices and they easily adapt to whatever design you want. I was introduced to this nail shop by one of my good friends, I have been going to Jay the owner and have loved how he's doing mine and my kids nails up to now. I already have had some issues with his other employees just because they don't have customer service so I stopped going to them. I have brought not only my mother, my cousin, two of my coworkers, and my daughter, her stepmom, her dad, her dad's mom, and her aunt all have been coming here because of my word! Time has gone by and we no longer feel welcomed or getting the service we asked and paid for. My daughter and I recently got our nails done, after washing my hands I explain to Jay that the nails were too thin and he took too much off he told me that "when doing a fill it's not to make them thicker it's just to change the old." But that doesn't make sense to me, when you do a fill and you takeoff the top you are supposed to replace that and make sure the nail is at the thickness that the customer wants, he refused to do that and told me that I would have to be charged for it NEXT TIME. He wouldn't even fix then like I asked!This is not the first time that I am being charged for a mistake down by the salon. My daughter is in her early teens and has been getting her nails done for a while now and all of a sudden the last two times they were so bad that within the first week almost all of them were popped off and the. he wants to charge me for the replacement of them. I never thought that you would bite the hand thats feeding you, this is your company and your customers are the ones that are paying for your services and I have brought so many people and couldn't get the correct customer service or even an apology. I pray for his business to flourish, that he feels less stress, and can eventually work in more of a happy environment! Stay Safe read more

I found myself in Henderson, NV looking for a mani pedi. After reading pretty much every review on Yelp my twin and I settled on SL, partly because of the good reviews and partly because they moved to Vegas from Elko and I love support NV business'. Immediately upon walking in we are greeted by the most adorable fluffy white dog. This dog was nothing short of an attention whore and totally welcome in my world. Its quite an enjoyable experience to get a pedi while you've got a fluff bucket in your lap. The twin and I failed to make an appointment but they took us anyway. We actually lucked out as 4 or so more people came in after us and they were turned away. They had to do us individually but let us both soak our feet while we were waiting for the other. SO that basically meant we got to hang out in massage chairs. Uhhh, yeah! I call that a win. Ok-on to the actual services. The facility is clean, the polish selection is great and there was just the right amount of conversation/interaction to allow for a relaxing afternoon. We are sitting at a week later and my sisters Gel is still holding on like a champ. I wasn't so wise-skipped the Gel and I am chipping. Lesson learned! The prices are super reasonable and the service is great. Totally recommend this place. read more

Horrible. My nails on both hands are majorly different lengths and some look round instead of coffin Style. She left a ton of air bubbles and she over glued so it ran onto my skin and it glued my nail to my skin which I had to peel off. She kept looking away while she was sanding which led to her burning me. Absolutely would never go back. read more

NEW OWNERSHIP!! This place is a hidden gem, they really go above and beyond to provide great service. I come here every two weeks and the price for a mani/pedi is reasonable. They even do hot stone which is rare to find in nail salons that's included with a mani/pedi. They offer complimentary beverages and also provide an iPad for your entertainment. I definitely recommend!! Come see Jay, he'll turn your nails into a masterpiece!!! read more

I have had great experiences here. I have been going for several months to this nail salon for gel manicures and routine pedicures. I have had the pleasure of dealing with the old management & the new- no cause for complaints for either. I am especially happy with the new look of the nail salon . The staff is friendly & the work is quality. My last gel manicure lasted almost four weeks- without breaking or chipping. I consider that quality work for a woman on the go. Decided to try this salon out today at lunch due to its proximity to my workplace. At first, I was a little hesitant because the place looked a little run down. I am so happy to be proven wrong! My nail tech was amazing and he did an immaculate job. I like my nails short and manicured gel. He gave me the perfect length and made my nails the perfect the perfect shape. I decided to go to Jay as a part of my quest to find a new nail tech since recently moving here to Henderson. First person I went to did a horrendous number to my nails. I still can't believe that happened...still mortified. Anyhow, I went to Jay & he redid her work & made sure everything was to my liking. This is now my second time seeing him & he did an even better job than I anticipated. Not the most social person (I'm a talker) but he's great at his job!! My daughter and I went for some girl time so we can have pretty nails for our Disney trip. My daughters nails look amazing which were done by Jay, he's amazing and really cares about design and not hurting the customer. However, I had my nails done by a female who didn't really care, she cut me pretty good on my ring finger right away I was bleeding she tried to stop the bleeding with some glue it wasn't working and she kept trying to glue it. I knew I felt more cuts on my other fingers when I woke up this morning I felt more pain in my fingers. They are really sore today especially feeling the glue hard against my skin with the dry blood, along with raw cut cuticles on the other hand. I highly recommend Jay, no one else. read more

Jay is simply the best. I love all the designs he does on my nails. No matter what pix I bring, he is able to duplicate it on my nails to my satisfaction. Nhi does an excellent job on brows and pedis. She can make your feet and legs feel so soft. She also does lovely designs when she does my pedis. SL nails is clean and organized. They offered to give me one of their brow pencils for free to fill them in daily. Mind you they were also too dark for my skin and hair color. I went home and used a cold cream to scrub my brows to try to get it all off. Thankfully they began to fade and look more normal. But I cannot express enough how awful this technician and service was.

I went yesterday to get a full face threading plus eyebrows done. There were a couple ladies there,…read moreso there was no wait time, which I appreciated. I went in and explained what I wanted done. At first, I felt her trimming my eyebrows with scissors. I noticed she was trimming the top because my eyebrow hairs do grow upward a little, and I'm used to that being done at other threading places. But then I started feeling her trim the bottom of my eyebrows, and I could hear her clipping on my left eyebrow specifically. After that, she stopped and didn't really trim the other brow. The bottom of my eyebrows usually never gets trimmed, so this already felt unusual to me. She then started threading, and I did feel like she was taking off more hair than usual. Mind you, my eyebrows were not overgrown at all because I had already gotten them threaded somewhere else about 3-4 weeks ago. They still had a nice shape, so realistically this appointment should have just been a cleanup. Once she finished and brushed my eyebrows down a bit, they honestly looked okay at first glance when she showed me. However, today when I went to put gel in my eyebrows and lightly shape them the way I normally do, I immediately noticed blunt cuts. I tried styling them, but the hair on the bottom is now too short because too much was cut off. It honestly looks like I'm missing hair in certain spots because of how much was trimmed. I also noticed some micro bleeding/red spots around my neck and chin area after the facial threading. I'm not sure if that is considered normal, but it is something I experienced after the service. I uploaded pictures -- the first one shows how my eyebrows looked before, and the other pictures show how they look now. I'm leaving two stars because my other eyebrow does look good and they are even. If she hadn't trimmed the bottom, I honestly feel like they would have turned out really nice. At this point there's not much I can do besides wait for them to grow back. I also have a wedding to attend this weekend, so hopefully an eyebrow pencil does the trick. Needless to say, I'm disappointed because I chose this place based on all the great reviews I had seen.
