Out of all the new artisan/gourmet pizza places to go to, this is my least favorite. Have eaten pizza from here twice now, but we won't be going back. 1st trip June/July 2017: Took the family here for a dine-in experience and the pricing on the menu was confusing...you only get 3 large sized slices of pizzas, so if you want to get one full size pizza....you will pay way too much money and have 4 or 5 separate orders of SLAB. Get it? Yeah, we weren't impressed. 2nd mistake we made was deciding to eat inside. We were expecting a tray or plate and we get it served on parchment paper, which makes for very awkward eating or transporting. Cutting costs is understandable and providing less waste for the environment is great, but there are other ways to do it. The experience was made worse by the flies which kept dive bombing us. At least they were enjoying the experience. My wife thought the toppings were good and she really liked the crust. I on the other hand thought it was decent, but not my favorite, and I am not a picky eater at all! FIRST VISIT GRADE 2.5 to 3 stars. 2nd trip: August 2017. Since my wife liked their crust so much she decided to pick us up (takeout) some pizza for dinner a few evenings ago. I specificallyordered the bbq chicken. I don't recall what the rest of my family ordered, but that evening none of us finished even half of our orders. My daughter's cheese was literally stuck to the sauce and curled up like cold cheese in a ricotta container....and her pizza was still warm! She couldn't even finish the 1st slice and normally she gobbles down pizza. I got thrtough one slice, but couldn't stomach the other two. The chicken just did not taste good and the sauce was 'Okay', but what ruined it for me was the crust....overcooked, and not flavorful at all. My wife, who enjoyed the crust last time, did not like hers either. She said the toppings didn't taste fresh and the crust was not as good as thee previous time. My wife and daughter threw theirs out....what a waste. I told them I would save mine for later.....and now is later....big mistake. Tastes worse reheated...and usually reheated pizza tastes good, right? Never again, which is sad, because I am not hard to please, and I was hoping for a lot more from a non-national chain pizza restaurant. Big fan of Slab. I'm always surprised by how much I love this place. Though I shouldn't be.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while so we finally did. I thought the toppings were really good and the sauces were all really good but the crust was soooo dry and tasteless and hard to chew through like cardboard. Crust is a pretty big deal when it comes to pizza so I don't know that I would come back. The concept is a little strange but I get it. It's just a little more expensive when you do it this way. The food is edible, the prices are a little on the high side. The atmosphere is cool, However, with a cook to order place, I was disappointed they wouldn't make an custom request to combine 2 sauces. They wanted $1 for a tiny side of ranch - over all win the nickel and dime nature of this place I can't recommend. read more

Great pizza to be found here! The idea is that you get a full section of pizza. That is, the entire pizza is split into fourths and a quarter goes to each person. So they can be quite large. They have some amazing flavors. Some of our favorites are the Buffalo which features celery and chicken. Another is the three meat or meat lovers which is sure a clog arteries. Took a ridiculously long time to get my pizza. Would be okay if it was cheaper, but the price and the wait are not nearly worth it.

Slab Pizza is so good. Very comparable with Blaze Pizza. Where I would say they beat Blaze is with the crust! The portions are slightly smaller, which I am ok with it because usually at Blaze I end up eating too much. read more

Went tonight and had the cucumber salad and a slice of pizza. Food was fresh and tasted great. Price was reasonable and service from the owner was excellent. read more

Go somewhere else. You can find comparable pizza at Pizza Studio and Malawi's, and you don't need the hassle of dealing with the owner. He has the worst customer service skills of any proprietor I have ever dealt with. He is cheap and puts his measly bottom line ahead of trying to make it a positive experience for the customer. Pretty good pizza. Took 45 minutes to make 1 slice. Staff didn't seem to care or have any urgency. Solid pizza tho.

Calling it pizza feels inadequate. Innovative and well executed food combined with value makes it a staple. A seemingly endless number of options keep it interesting. And there's more familiar options as well, making it a can't miss for groups. read more

Great pizza with a lot of options. The slices are BIG so go hungry. Lehi is the second location and recently opened. I wish it wasn't so far away because it took me an hour to get there after work (I live/work in Salt Lake) but that's a separate thing. Best pizza in Lehi. I love the UNM (pepperoni, sausage, green chiles), and the Potato Rosemary pizza. The potato one is unusual but delicious. I order it every time I go. And a slab of pizza is huge! I usually eat one piece and take the other be home. read more

Slab is great. Who wouldn't want an egg on their pizza?? Seriously, I've had 10 or so of their pizzas and they've all been great. Try the sage and the breakfast. read more

Great thin crust New York Style! Tons of combinations to choose from. Highly recommend the Super Meat slab!

A slab is plenty of food, don't buy two thinking you'll still be hungry. There are a lot of flavors and pizza is cooked well and they have multiple televisions showing basketball. read more

If you like green chiles you'll love this place. Fave slice is the NM Green Chile. It has ample amounts of pepperoni and sausage topped with roasted green chiles. The kicker is the sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. Slab is a must for lovers of thin crust pizza and interesting topping combinations. read more

Went today for lunch and the pizza was super yummy, I really wish they had a knife to cut them with because they are quite greasy, but good. I like to eat my pizza with a fork. Service was pretty fast, and friendly! read more

Slab is our all-time favorite lunch spot during the work week and has become my favorite restaurant since moving to Utah. In fact, we drive from Orem about once a week for it and its well worth the drive. The pizza is out of this world (my fave is the garlic potato!) and the people are so friendly. Not to mention the huge slices. It's nice and spacious and even though the lunch hour can get busy, we always find a table to sit at. Bottom line...my love for Slab runs real deep. read more

Charge extra for a box? Bad move Slab Pizza. All the highly addictive pizza in the world won't make up for idiotic management decisions like charging for a box. There's enough fluff in an $8 price tag to pay for cardboard. read more

Not a great experience. First thing first, I'm not tipping anyone that isn't a server and don't expect your customers to front your payroll so stop begging, not happening. The pizza? Sad excuse for pizza I must say. It taste like a Kroger boxed pizza, just bad. Nothing about this even remotely taste good, just bad pizza and I'm not a picky eater, it's just bad. Its served on a thin sheet of paper so don't expect any plates. Google stated the hours at an 11:00 close but these kids were sweeping and stacking chairs at 8:20 because there were no customers. My wife ask me to get a box to go for her last slice and the young girl at the counter with a backwards hat on gives me a slice of tin foil! Seriously! She did cave in and walk 10" to get me a box and looked at me like I had horns on. I really don't need a 16 year old with an additude. These kid employees had no energy other than to stand around a table behind the cash register because there was no adult in charge. Well, no adult around to be in charge that is. I will say the place was clean so it does deserve more than one star. The restroom was also clean so kudos for cleaness of the place. Again, just bad food from young kids wanting tips. Lots of room here for major improvements but needs an on-site adult leading young folks to start with. Won't be going back, neither should you. read more

I ordered the CJane with the fresh arugula, candied walnuts and blue cheese. I was quite disappointed that the walnuts were rancid. But after talking with someone, they did cook us another pizza. My husband got the BBQ pork pizza and it had too much sauce. Plus the dough is extremely chewy. Like, my jaw hurt by the end. Plus, $8/slab, which is about 3 slices. Kind of pricey! read more

If you don't care about quality and just want quantity then you might like this place. Big slices but the crust is just really terrible. I mean it's really bad crust. I love thin crust pizza but this seriously tasted worse than frozen microwaveable pizza. The sauce and toppings are ok but the crust is so bad that it's almost inedible. I like the concept of this place but the execution failed. I hope there is a way they can figure out how to get the crust to not taste like cardboard. We love this place and location. It's so busy over by Cubby's and Zupa's that we totally avoid that area. SLAB is located on the south side where there is ample parking. The pizzas are creative and each slab is sliced into three pieces which is more than enough. They provide foil at the counter if you need to take home any extras. I especially love the Thai Chicken pizza. I love a good peanut sauce and this one has a kick to it. We also really like the potato bacon pizza. The service is good and the tables turn pretty quickly. read more

This place was disappointing. They try to do something different with pizza by charging by the "slab" which is just a quarter of a full pizza. Admittedly this was our first time and we were very confused. We ordered a full pizza with four different slabs and two salads. The service was great except they brought out the wrong salads. I'm fine with mistakes especially when they are corrected, which it was. My main complaint was the pizza. It was gross! I've had several frozen pizzas that were better quality. All four slabs were disappointing. We were visiting from California for the weekend so were open to try something different and local...we left bummed out. read more

Living in the area, and hoping for a closer pizza vendor so we could take out and eat hot pizza at home in front of OUR television, we decided to try this new restaurant. The innovative way of describing, preparing and serving pizza, i.e., as a quarter of a 20" pizza took some explanation and getting used to. Service was relatively quick, the dining room was clean and austere, but not really any place except at dining tables to wait for server to bring the boxes pizza. The pizza itself is not that great. Thin crust, which I usually prefer, reminding me of the Boston pizza we have eaten in years past. But the crust was way too chewy, and it got harder to bite through and chew as the pizza got cold. Which, unfortunately happened way too fast. The take away box has nearly no thermal qualities, like a store wrap shirt box. Toppings quantity was very average. Sauce good, but not enough to redeem what seemed like higher than average price. Extensive menu, but we won't be going back to sample it. read more

Worst pizza I've ever had. Had a slice of the BBQ Chicken. The crust was flimsy and bland, sauce was thin and generic tasting, hardly any cheese, and hardly any toppings. Service was slow and the food presentation was awful. It seems like they are trying to go for a food truck style with the wax paper instead of plates, but the food quality was on par with what budget cut public schools might serve. read more
