I always enjoy coming to slack water. Walked in on a Sunday and got seated right away. Tiny esses ordered! Taste like drinking skittles! Ordered cáprese appetizer and it was really good! They use some of their pizza dough for the bread part. And it's delicious, flavor of the dough is kind of like sour dough type. Made me wonder if they use a starter for the pizza dough! Iron horse pizza was really good. I like the flavor of the crust. I got a Caesar salad and felt it was little soggy but it had good flavor. Husband ordered a house salad with chicken and was massive and he also said was really good Sorry only got pictures of my drink! Waiter was also very nice! Everyone we encountered was friendly. Outside I would say wait until they build more or add grass. The sandy location has a nice out doors. But this location because it's new, trees aren't established. read more

Is it nice having a Slackwater closer to home? Yes. Is it the same Slackwater vibes you get from the Ogden, SLC, or Sandy location? Not really... Love it or hate it, the Herriman location is definitely giving a family friendly vibe. It felt more like an Applebees or Chili's than a pizza & beer cult favorite eatery. However, the food was still delicious. We ordered the Citrus Morita Dry Rub Wings, the You'll Be Stuffed, and the This Is Sparta pizza. The wings were okay, but as always, anything with Slackwater's signature pizza dough is going to be a winner. Will the Herriman location become my new spot? Probably not. I love this restaurant we have been here many times and had very great experiences the food here is great the atmosphere is great. And the service has always been amazing except for today. Me and my wife went here on a Sunday morning for brunch with our daughter. The hostess tried to seat us a small 2 seat table with our daughter in a high chair. We voiced our concerns on having the high chair in the middle of the isle. The hostess then moved us to a booth which would still require the high chair in the busy isle. The place was mostly empty and there were plenty of open tables that we could have sat at that would not require the high chair be in the main isle of the restaurant. We ended up leaving. We are at Slackwater for the first time tonight. The food was delicious. Best pizza crust in town! I ordered the You'll Be Stuffed Sticks and we were! We had leftovers! The server brought us a take home box and I filled it with the leftover 'sticks'. Unfortunately, I left them on the table. We noticed this mistake about 5 min after we left. We returned to get them immediately, but they had already reseated the table and disposed of our leftovers. It was completely our fault, but they insisted on replacing them with a whole new order of 'Sticks'. We pleased that it was unnecessary, but they insisted. Great customer service!! I've heard amazing things about Slackwater pizza but it's a little far away so I haven't tried it. I can finally say that I tried it and it definitely lives up to the hype! This location was relatively new, but it was clean and our service was very good. The ambience was really nice and the food speaks for itself. I was impressed with their selection of pizzas - we definitely ordered too much food! But how do you pick? We ordered a plain cheese for the small kids just to be safe. Then we branched out and got a Tikka pizza and a Gyro pizza - both were awesome! The California sunrise pizza was fresh and delightful. I would definitely order it again! I had heard that this is the best pizza in Utah. I would definitely put it in that group. It's a very small exclusive group too. The dough was amazing, just slightly sweet but really good and chewy, just like a pizza should be. I got their version of a Hawaiian pizza, the PUA'A LUAU. The pineapple is fresh pineapple, and it's grilled, which really sets it apart and elevates it. The ham was also delicious on that pizza. After visiting the Sandy location, I was thrilled to learn that Herriman was getting a Slackwater out on the west side. Love this new location. Pretty building. Lots of parking. The waitress was friendly and always checking on us but not too much, you know? Good frequency. We split the nachos because I heard they were good and the waitress said she liked them too. But they were soggy when they got to the table. I'm fairly certain it's that chili verde on top. Just too liquidy to be sitting on chips. I wasn't that into the overall flavor of the nachos either. Bummer. The pizza was pretty good though. I got a gluten free California sunrise. I liked the texture of the gf crust and the green goddess had a nice fresh taste. The pizza tasted healthy but in a good way. Kay, one of the managers, is awesome! Our server Mykah was a doll and super good at her job. Unfortunately, a hostess working the front was horrible. With that said the manager and waitress didn't let my complaint go without a sincere listening ear and rectification. Food was better than I anticipated; it was my first time there. I'll go back thanks to all the staff, except for the horrible rude and nasty hostess. She should not be the first person make contact with any customer, ever. Definitely get the cobb and the wings. I was the only person at the table that didn't have a pizza, but the rest of our group only had great things to say about their food. Slackwater has so many unique flavor options on their menu so I knew I wanted to pick something totally out there when I ordered. First off the restaurant is very clean and organized on the inside. The restaurant is big and spacious and looked really nice. It looks like they may have an option for seating by the patio with doors that open up so we will definitely be back again to enjoy that. For our pizza we decided to try the Tikka Masala pizza. This was a pizza with masala sauce as the base, chicken, basmati rice, red onions, and 3 cheeses with a drizzle of masala sauce and cilantro on top. The pizza was decent but I felt like it lacked sauce, it was very dry. The masala sauce wasn't very strong but the flavor was just okay. I felt like there wasn't a lot of chicken either. The crust was delicious though! We also tried their You'll Be Stuffed Sticks which is similar to cheese bread. This was dough stuffed with ricotta and a 3 cheese blend served with marinara and we got a side of ranch which I later learned was called monkey sauce? But anyway the stuffed sticks are amazing! The bread is a perfect combination of crispy and cheesy. The marinara is robust and flavorful, and the ranch (monkey sauce) was amazing! Best ranch I've ever had it was so good and fresh. I would definitely like to come back and try a different pizza next time because like I said they have tons of different unique flavor options. Slackwater is a must and there is something for everyone! My daughter and I stopped in for dinner after a dentist appointment and everything was spectacular! We were seated right away, greeted promptly by a friendly server, and enjoyed our food in a very timely manner. My little girl is a picky eater (just like her mom) and she loved everything she tried. We decided to try this restaurant for lunch the other day. My wife had it on her list of must try and I was really impressed with the beer menu. It was pages long! The menu had appetizers (had different wings included in that section) , sandwiches and pizza. No fries which was surprising. The pizza choices were interesting - we chose The Italian Job.  The topping I was skeptical about, turned out to be a really good compliment to the whole pie: the creamy herb vinaigrette drizzle on top.  The waitress told us that people come and do something like "around the world" and try a different "country" each time. Example: we did Italy of course, there was a Greek one, and Indian one, Cuban, etc. we thought that was good advice and after tasting how great this one was, we decided we will definitely be back for more.
