Slackwater has so many unique flavor options on their menu so I knew I wanted to pick something totally out there when I ordered. First off the restaurant is very clean and organized on the inside. The restaurant is big and spacious and looked really nice. It looks like they may have an option for seating by the patio with doors that open up so we will definitely be back again to enjoy that. For our pizza we decided to try the Tikka Masala pizza. This was a pizza with masala sauce as the base, chicken, basmati rice, red onions, and 3 cheeses with a drizzle of masala sauce and cilantro on top. The pizza was decent but I felt like it lacked sauce, it was very dry. The masala sauce wasn't very strong but the flavor was just okay. I felt like there wasn't a lot of chicken either. The crust was delicious though! We also tried their You'll Be Stuffed Sticks which is similar to cheese bread. This was dough stuffed with ricotta and a 3 cheese blend served with marinara and we got a side of ranch which I later learned was called monkey sauce? But anyway the stuffed sticks are amazing! The bread is a perfect combination of crispy and cheesy. The marinara is robust and flavorful, and the ranch (monkey sauce) was amazing! Best ranch I've ever had it was so good and fresh. I would definitely like to come back and try a different pizza next time because like I said they have tons of different unique flavor options. Slackwater is a must and there is something for everyone! My daughter and I stopped in for dinner after a dentist appointment and everything was spectacular! We were seated right away, greeted promptly by a friendly server, and enjoyed our food in a very timely manner. My little girl is a picky eater (just like her mom) and she loved everything she tried. We shared a caprese salad and California Sunrise pizza. (Pro tip, add basil to the CS pizza!) Kay, one of the managers, is awesome! Our server Mykah was a doll and super good at her job. Unfortunately, a hostess working the front was horrible. I'm a big fan of the Sandy location and had high hopes for this location. They did not disappoint. I went for lunch and it was a great experience. It wasn't too busy yet. The staff were very friendly. The food is excellent. I'm not a drinker, so don't stay away from this place if you don't drink. There's still so much to enjoy here. I had the pork chili verde nachos, the figgin' spring pizza, and the grape and gorgeous pizza. The nachos were practically perfect. A little too many raw onions for me, but it wasn't enough to deter me from eating more. The fig pizza was a really well balanced pizza, but didn't blow me away. Hello my name is Worthy. The staff is great and always helpful. The manager or possibly owner i don't really know is very accommodating. At a time my card wasn't working on their machines he came up and said the pizza is on us and just make sure to leave a good review on yelp. Haven't had the experience of a card not working again and they were still very welcoming. The food has its own unique taste and every pizza is freshly made with every meal having an amazing unique flavor to it. We decided to try this restaurant for lunch the other day. My wife had it on her list of must try and I was really impressed with the beer menu. It was pages long! The menu had appetizers (had different wings included in that section) , sandwiches and pizza. No fries which was surprising. The pizza choices were interesting - we chose The Italian Job.  The topping I was skeptical about, turned out to be a really good compliment to the whole pie: the creamy herb vinaigrette drizzle on top.  The waitress told us that people come and do something like "around the world" and try a different "country" each time. Example: we did Italy of course, there was a Greek one, and Indian one, Cuban, etc. we thought that was good advice and after tasting how great this one was, we decided we will definitely be back for more. I heard great things about their pizza but decided to try the Ghost Pepper Special wings, Buffalo wings, a Buffalo chicken sandwich, and the Joe Pesci. The wings had a good portion but lacked meat on the bone. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was disappointing--no buffalo sauce, making it just a dry chicken sandwich, plus it came with lettuce despite my request for none. The Joe Pesci hoagie was flavorful and the only item I'd order again. I'd suggest sticking to what everyone raves about--the pizza--and not venturing too far off the menu initially. read more

I've been hoodwinked. I bought a growler here because I love the raspberry blonde ale on tap. I went to refill and they tell me I have to buy food. I asked what is the point of a growler then? The Bar lady said so you can bring it with you and have dinner then take it home. The 3 other guys at the bar looked really confused too. I said not the purpose of the growler is to get it to go. The bar lady due to the license they hold they can't do that. I said then you shouldn't sell growler without a big warning that says you must buy food every time you fill this up. It's dishonest way to charge for what you don't want, in order to get what you want. I ordered the "chips" which was the cheapest they had and I will tell you the chips are not good at all. They tasted like they were made last week. The lady was as patient as one could've been as she knew it was a dishonest practice as well. Ok, I'm trying to give the team at the Herriman location some grace but my experience was less than stellar. I was super excited to try the new July seasonal menu and I must say the food did it disappoint. The service however wasn't good at all. The waiter did not check up on us once and the food runner brought our food out and took an additional drink order and it was never put in. Had the waiter check on us he would have known and could have corrected and all would have been well. When I addressed it with the waiter he acted like he didn't know and wasn't accountable. I want to make it clear I'm a huge fan of Slackwater as you can see in my previous posts but this location is still working through some operational challenges. Hit up the downtown location they have it on lock! Nothing drives me more crazy when the staff isn't attentive to the drink order, man that's your tip right there. read more

Our daughter & SIL took us here while visiting. Their tastebuds are a bit more exotic than ours so the menu was a bit much to decipher. I will say that we were happy with the food and our waitress, I wish I could remember her name, she was excellent. We've been to Slackwater multiple times and it's consistently good. Favorites are the ricotta stuffed cheesy bread and the DPP hot honey pizza-- crust is on point. The Thai Coco salad is also very unique and good but my one complaint is that the amount of chicken (if you add it on) is hit or miss so far as quantity.
