    Shrimp Cerviche

This is one of my favorite seafood places to go to! I love the fact that their daily fish changes. And the daily fish is not just some ordinary fish, you can range from barracuda to hoki. They also or adaptable to what kind of food you want. For example you can order a certain fish on a sandwich, rice bowl, or tacos. I started off with the ceviche which tasted like a seafood salsa. It was absolutely tasted good. For the main course, I got the ultimate fish taco which was huge! For the type of fish, I got the Waldo which was a fatty kind of fish. But it tasted so good as well. It was cooked perfectly, the sauce complemented the flavor well. Finally the staff is amazing as well. They are patient and are willing to give their suggestions. I will definitely come here again!

We love Slapfish! Lots of good fish and seafood options. You can get bowls, sandwiches, burritos, fish and chips, great sides. I love the poke bowl and protein bowl. The chowder is great. Kids menu has some good options for kids. There are always daily options and seasonal items. Great sides also!. Service is quick after you order at the counter.

So good I might finish that juice. I haven't had a better ceviche in Albuquerque. If you want a before picture- Go take one !!!

Slapfish was one of my go to's for the last few years. They recently were bought out by their corporate office and made big changes. You can definitely see their influence from choices of food now available to their marketing. I personally don't find any of the changes good for the consumers. They cut out a few of the foods I like as well. What they have is still good, but not as good! The store is still nice and clean, employees are great and I still aways recommend to tip your servers!!

We have been going to Slap Fish since they opened. We use to love it here. Over the last couple of years, the quality of the food has declined. They serve you a giant bowl of rice and veggies and strips of fish? I would rather pay an 21$ dollars for a bowl, and actually get a 4oz piece of salmon at least. Staff is still nice, but probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Our Family is over 25 plus people and we all feel the same. Hope it goes back to how it use to be!

I have gone to Slapfish for a few years now. The fish was excellent the first couple of times. I don't get to Albuquerque as often as I like and thought I would treat myself to something special. The guy at the counter was really friendly. I ordered fish and chips. Only 1 customer came in the entire time. My fish was way too thin and over fried. I had to use the metal knife to cut through it. One piece was just batter. The coleslaw was just purple cabbage with a little dressing and herbs. The fries were seasoned really well and the best part of the meal. I guess I am just too shy to complain, which is what I should've done. Today, I just made bad choices. Even my lemon slice was dried out.

Chowder fries?!? Friggin' ingenious!! I'm salivating just thinking of them. The fries were an easy choice. The rest was difficult to narrow down, big we finally decided on and the lobster taquitos, clobster grilled cheese (with add on green chiles), and the poke bowl. All excellent! I was really overwhelmed (in a good way) with all the side and condiment options every dish had to choose from. As a self proclaimed condiment queen, I was in heaven. Sauces galore here! ...and then there were the drinks. We couldn't decide between the two hard ciders, so our man offered us samples of both the Sandia pineapple cider and the bosque cider. Still indecisive after the tasting, we got one of each. I absolutely loved the pineapple cider though! Service was so helpful, friendly and patient! A win all around.

Love the healthy options available at Slap Fish when you're in a hurry on lunch from work. I usually get the Grilled Fish bowl with brown rice. This location on Holly Dr. is far better that the other one on Louisiana. Although we've seen gradual price increases with pandemic and supply chain shortages, this location doesn't nickel and dime you like the Louisiana location. The option of brown rice is included for the $15 price and you can request extra dressing or herb sauce at no extra charge. Give them a try for a healthy meal on short time!

So yummy and nice environment! The staff was so helpful to explain about their food and recommended some best seller!!! I love it in there! Highly recommend! Definitely come back!

Dang, it is good. I am from the East Coast and love me sone seafood which is had to find where I live, in Alamogordo. So, when I went to Abq for a multiday conference I felt sure, "This city must have decent seafood somewhere." All the cravings were satisfied by the fresh and amazing poke bowl, the traditional fish and chips, and a buttery lobster roll! Service was the nice.

    Yum!

Had the Epic Shrimp Burrito today! It was a delicious wrapped culinary "present" with layers of delectable flavor!! The size was enormous! And every single layer of crunch, sauce, texture, flavor... was so deliciously satisfying for my taste buds. The shrimp was delicately & intentionally cooked by a well experienced chef who obviously was not rushed, and I'm almost certain he must have been reciting poetry to my shrimp as he prepared it because each plump, tender, juicy, sweet shrimp was so deliciously perfect! These shrimp must have swam in holy water their whole lives! They were just the right texture when I bit into them to prove the chef knew exactly what he was doing! Mmmm I lick my lips still hoping for a trace of flavor! This is how it's done folks!

Slapfish is definitely an asset to our community...what they do, they do well. The service is fantastic, and they are ready to help walk you through the menu and give you the run down of all the deets that make their dishes snap crackle pop. I didn't have a lot of time, so I ordered the ultimate fish taco, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is hip, local beers on tap, and for as long as the line was, they were incredibly fast and efficient and there was no lag time at all. This is surely going to be a go to when I'm craving seafood, and there's a good variety to choose from. Happy for this little oasis in the desert :)

They do have a small patio, so I would guess so. I would call just to make sure as I haven't seen anyone with their dogs there.

No biggie! I just chopped it up myself. The bacon on it was scrumptious and the salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The salad dressing was a creamy vinaigrette and it went perfectly with the dish. I recommend! We shared a Crème Brûlée that was HUGE and delicious as well. We initially decided on this place because they offered oysters on a half shell. I figured they would be small oysters, but no, these oysters reminded me of the size of gulf oysters. The oyster dish came with all of the fixings, horseradish sauce, cocktail sauce, tabasco sauce, lemons, and crackers. I enjoyed every single bite. We ordered a seafood boil dish combo #2 that came with Dungeness Crab Legs, shrimp, clams, sausage, red potatoes, and corn in a crab house cajun sauce with heat level medium spicy. The boil came out just as I finished my last oyster. I failed to take a picture of the beautiful seafood dish before us. Plan to get messy with this place. They put down paper on the table when arriving, and they give gloves and a bib to wear. I took off all of my rings and I got busy cracking and peeling. The cajun garlic butter sauce was so flavorful. I couldn't get enough of it. I swept and dipped my seafood pieces around in it until I could scoop up enough to enjoy with every bite. Our server was attentive to our needs, and the bathroom was clean upon my visit. I didn't mind the walls and poles that were written on. It added its own character.

This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal.
