This place was mind blowing good. This was our first visit to Storming Crab, and after today, it will become a regular visit for us. We initially decided on this place because they offered oysters on a half shell. I figured they would be small oysters, but no, these oysters reminded me of the size of gulf oysters. The oyster dish came with all of the fixings, horseradish sauce, cocktail sauce, tabasco sauce, lemons, and crackers. I enjoyed every single bite. We ordered a seafood boil dish combo #2 that came with Dungeness Crab Legs, shrimp, clams, sausage, red potatoes, and corn in a crab house cajun sauce with heat level medium spicy. The boil came out just as I finished my last oyster. I failed to take a picture of the beautiful seafood dish before us. Plan to get messy with this place. They put down paper on the table when arriving, and they give gloves and a bib to wear. I took off all of my rings and I got busy cracking and peeling. The cajun garlic butter sauce was so flavorful. I couldn't get enough of it. I swept and dipped my seafood pieces around in it until I could scoop up enough to enjoy with every bite. Server was great although it took forever because he seemed to be the only one for all the tables which was about 7. We got the boil added clams and black mussels more then half the mussels were unopened which we saved let them know. "We can cook them more was the response we got" If you know anything about shellfish you should know If mussels don't open when you cook them, the usual rule is: don't eat them. * Most of the time: a mussel that stays closed after cooking was already dead before cooking, and that can make it unsafe to eat. * Food safety rule: toss any that don't open after being fully cooked. So absolutely not and risk getting sick I complained said I want them removed do you think they removed them NO they still charged us for half when I had 14 mussels sitting there unopened. It was crazy do not come here the food is decent but they obviously do not care about customer satisfaction or food safety. read more

We have been here a few time for the sea food boils. We enjoy them with family and friends. We do not care for the crawfish mix but also wish the cajun seasoning had more spice to it. For appetizers we have shared the fried alligator which we enjoyed. I've also had the gumbo for days I'm not super hungry. The gumbo is not as flavourful either as other places and does not have a lot of meat just a few tiny shrimps. Wish it also had some more substance or other veggies in it. Not the best in town but it is convenient and centrally located for us to meet up with other people. I really wanted oysters so we went. When I asked what kind of oysters were being served no answer was ever given. And while the visual was really good the flavor...ever had a sad oyster? Well then you know. The crab boil was REALLY bland even when we asked for Cajun hot and the crab was soooo dry. Fast forward...made it to crackin crab. The food was fire! It was less expensive (with wine as an option) and the oysters were very close to ones I've had on the coast. Now that beings said, there just wasn't any comparison. Don't go here. The shrimp and even the crawfish had more substance than the crab, which was shocking considering crab was supposed to be the star of the combo. We arrived at the restaurant after 7pm on Christmas Eve, and the restaurant was closing @830 pm. Our server, ( I wish I knew the young man's name), had the best attitude and customer service I've ever received. This server made our evening great, especially since it was just about closing time and on Christmas Eve. The food was very tasty, however it was a bit "dry" since they pour the boil bag into the deep dish/serving tray and there was not enough of the liquid/sauce in mine. This was my first time here so I'm not sure if this was optional or not to keep the seafood in the bag or not. Driving up to the building , the outside appeared slightly unappealing as there was graffiti on the posts. Never again. This is the second time here and I chalked the first time up to an isolated event a few years ago. I ordered something different this time, catfish platter. The catfish came out fresh (hot) but was like eating a gummy bear. I have no idea how that happens. I started eating (fries were fine) and after the 2nd piece was also bad we decided to mention the fish tasted weird and gummy. They sent out another piece of gummy fish and we showed the server immediately again. The server was nice but then the manager never came over to fix the situation. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Me and my family ordered food and my two well raised sons went to the bathroom which has jokes written on the wall. They started laughing because of the jokes. THEN A WOMAN AND HER FRIEND WENT IN THE GUYS BATHROOM AND YELLED AT THEM. My sons then told me everything that happened.
