While staying at Hampton inn, found this place conveniently close to walk to. Went for Dinner. Not too crowded as we just missed a big rush after 7:30. Wife ordered Salad - pretty good. My son and I ordered some Clam Chowder and going to split a Double order of Fish & Chips (F&C). This is where things went south. Clam chowder was ok. A little on the corn starchy/floury side - rather than naturally thickened If you know what I mean. Then the Fish of our F&C- ordered crispy vice grilled- 1 piece was good 1 inch thick white meat, other piece was like a 1/4 inch piece of fish skin- there was no meat. When I went to the staff to say the piece was hardly any meat- mostly a 1/2 piece of fried skin- he said - that's the way it is. No bother to get a fresh piece or effort to please the customer- really disappointing. It was as if they ran out of fish. If he told me that-- that might have satisfied me, but I got an awkward that's how it is. Perhaps I should have pushed harder, but bottom line -- won't be back. Save yourself the frustration and go to The Whole Foods - or Pizza place to the left, which both had way better results during our stay. read more

Not bad for a quick stop. I've tried a couple different menu options and been happy with both. I like seafood and both dishes I tried seemed tasty and had lots of fresh veggies. I wish they had reusable or biodegradable utensils, but I just bring silverware from home to avoid the single use plastics. Ironic since plastics are such a problem in our oceans, and they serve seafood with single use plastic utensils. All in all a good fast seafood eatery. read more

Stopped at the Slapfish in Park City for lunch after a morning of shopping and we were not in the least disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was extremely friendly! We immediately noticed how clean the facility was. After receiving a few different recommendations, we each ordered something different: lobster taquitos, fish and chips, chowder fries, and a few other items. The food was hot, fresh, and made it to our table rather quickly. A manager stopped by the table to get feedback and make sure we were pleased with our choices. My wife and I had already had a good-sized lunch, so we were looking for something relatively light. We gave Slapfish a try, and it did not disappoint! The Lobster Taquitos were quite tasty, and the sodas made with pure cane sugar were refreshing. But the best part, really, was the Fish and Chips. Piping hot, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The battered fish were lightly crispy and paired very well with the tartar sauce. The chips were hot and seasoned to salty goodness. Tried this place for the first time while out in Park City and my husband and I got the lobster grinder to share. Oh my goodness, talk about self control because after taking one bite I did not want to share!! It was so good! The fries that came with it were also good, they had a good seasoning on them. Can't wait to come back and try their other menu items. It's pricy which is why we could only afford to share but we are glad to support a place that practices responsibly sourced seafood. If it wasn't for that, I would not pay the price even though it really was so good! Excited for our next visit! This was our first visit to any Slapfish and I can definitely say it won't be our last. I used to live in San Diego and fresh fish off the boat was something we frequently ate. I was a little reluctant about seafood in Utah but can't give it up. So we were in Park City and decided to try this place. It's casual dining. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table so don't go expecting anything else. It's immaculate. Love the atmosphere. They even have a nice patio for outdoor dining. The food was INCREDIBLE. We got a little ahead of ourselves and ordered the clam chowder, shrimp ceviche and crunchy fish tacos. My husband (after we paid) asked the girl what her favorite was and she said shrimp so he then ordered the shrimp pow (I think that's the name) appetizer. We were a little piggy. Everything was quickly brought to our table and was delicious. I quickly spent time as we drove away trying to find another location closer to home. And lucky for me, I did. I will be back. Great fast seafood option! My first time here, I had a grilled salmon bowl with brown rice and salad. Very fresh and flavorful. I loved the sauce on the rice, I had to ask for seconds! It wasn't that busy, but the restaurant was super clean, and the food came out fast and hot. There were a lot of different fish/seafood options on the fresh fish board I'd like to try next time. Wow! This may be my new favorite restarunt! The food is so good! BEST fish and chips I've ever had! I just came from New England and this is definitely the best sea food you can get in this area! And almost even better than the food is great, super friendly and welcoming staff! The lobby was super clean and it's definitely well taken care of! I am currently visiting the park city area with my wife and two smaller children. When we noticed that park city had a seafood shack we were excited. The atmosphere was upbeat and there was friendly music and a welcoming patio. We ordered food, got our beverages, and sat down. Unfortunately this is when our visit took a turn for the worse. There was a younger man whom seemed to be a manager as he had a polo shirt on in the kitchen. I noticed him because he was not wearing a hat. He was speaking to some other cooks in the kitchen and the volume of his voice was very loud. This is not a huge issue but he was using profane language exclusively. It was so bad I decided to remove my children from environment. I was under the impression this was more of a family restaurant. The front cashier was nice and gave me packaging to take my food to the hotel. The food was tasted great, but I could not get over how uncomfortable I felt sitting with my family exposed to these behaviors. read more
