The ability to park the car once and leave it for the couple of days was attractive. I couldn't be more pleased with our visit here. The Staff greeted us and was helpful throughout our stay, the historic building is beautiful and well maintained, the front porch has rocking chairs in a covered porch, and there's complimentary coffee in the mornings (and good coffee too!). The room isn't large, but is attractive, the bed was comfortable and the temperature controls worked well. There's a $15 breakfast buffet that we used once. It's typical eggs, potatoes, meats, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal/grits, and OJ. We went for breakfast a few doors down and spent $26 for 2 bagels and one coffee; I don't think this was an outrageous price at a nice hotel in a nice room with good service. There's an indoor pool that looked good, but we were busy and didn't get a chance to use it. The hotel truly is located in a great location. We ate within walking distance of a couple of good restaurants, and a few of the significant attractions are only steps away (although, be warned, the neighborhood is hilly!) The parking is $7.50 per night in a public lot attached to the building. They charge the parking to your room with in-out privileges.

C'mon Hotel 24,you can do better! The staff is always pleasant and the buffet breakfast is enjoyable if you prefer to eat at the hotel instead of stepping outside for pastries and baked goods and other options just steps away.

The Blackburn Inn is an elegant estate, a historical hotel, just outside Stanton that has its own…read moregardens! Nicely restored and fully modern, yet retaining the historical architecture. We appreciate the friendly staff as well. We got a room on the fourth floor which meant we had to take the elevator to the third (it only goes to the third) and then take the stairs up. Well worth it, because on the fourth floor you see spiral stairs up to a lighthouse-like structure on the rooftop. Expansive view. The room itself was very quiet, well insulated, modern bath, everything. The only drawback was the very low water pressure (maybe due to being on the top floor? or is it like this throughout the building?). Bed was very comfy though this "queen bed" definitely seemed smaller than usual. At night it got quite cold; we were told the air heating raises 1 degree per hour (several hours passed and, according to the thermostat, nothing changed). Luckily the front desk provided us with a portable heater. While Hotel 24 may be more convenient, situated just next to the Blackfriars Theatre, the Blackburn Inn (just a quick drive under the railway track) is a world onto its own.

They provide hand soap and toiletries that are Dove. They smelled very good and had fresh clean scents. The beds were okay, firm and the pillows soft. The coffee station had two regular coffees, a decaf coffee, an English breakfast tea, and a herbal tea. There were four to-go cups and four silverware sets that have sugar and powder creamer. The hotel itself has an indoor pool, which we did not use. A little store by the reception desk. It had snacks, drinks, frozen meals/desserts, and toiletries. There is a 24/7 coffee bar which also has hot chocolate and tea. The hotel also provided a breakfast buffet. The breakfast included: pancakes, muffins, breads, cereal, eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, fruit, apple juice, orange juice, etc. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I called 7 times and 7 times I was told we don't know, we'll escalate this and someone will call you back. No one ever called me back. Months of my time wasted and the incompetent staff couldn't figure out anything despite me being able to show where my credit card was charged by this hotel. Because they didn't have record of me checking in (because their system was down) they couldn't figure how to fix anything. All I was asking for was the deposit back. None of the managers could even be bothered to follow up and call me back.
