Service 9/10, space 9/10, coffee 8/10 I got a latte with coconut milk and I'm pretty happy with it. I've had coffee with more flavor for sure but it's great none the less. But, alternative milk for only .25¢?! That turned a 4 star into a 5 star for sure. The space is huge & beautiful, they also have a wine & coffee club that sound like a really good idea if you're a local. This is definitely a spot where you can stop by, enjoy a show, take a cooking class and have a full on coffee and/or wine experience

We were walking around the village and came across this coffee shop, walked in and found it to be interesting. It looks like a shared space with a winery because there were barrels inside. There was also ads for comedy and music so it seems like a pretty active venue. I got a caramel latte and the actual coffee part was very good. However, they put too much syrup in for my taste, it was too sweet. The cashier/barista was OK, not very friendly, but not rude. If I was in the area again, I would probably give it another try. It's right next to a Starbucks but my preference is always to give small businesses a chance.

    Wifi is pretty good.

We stopped in for a change of pace while working. We started with a couple of coffees and they were both good. An Americano and a cold brew. Since they are paired with Witch Creek Winery we finished work and had some wine when the live music started. The bourbon barrel aged Cabernet was pretty good. We've had other bourbon barrel cabs and they didn't have a great taste. The merlot was also very good. Not too sweet and a little earthy. The setting is very cozy and there's a lot of seating. The live music wasn't overly loud.

Sleeping Tiger Coffees is located near the Carlsbad Village Fair Shops. We waited quite some time because the only barista on duty was "upstairs"(?), so we meandered around the space while we waited. The interior design is charming and rustic with its tall, dark wood chairs and tables, and its barrels lining the perimeter of the floor. The lighted chandelier and Christmas decor lent a festive aura to the place. There's also an outdoor seated area, where vintage, antique-esque items housed in a sort of shed are available for sale. I ordered an iced vanilla bean latte, which was a recommended menu item that ended up being a little overpriced and pretty standard in flavor. Not sure if I would come back for the coffee, but Sleeping Tiger Coffees seems to share their interior space with another establishment...and it looks like they have live music nights! Cute!

Need I say more when I say this place is perfect? Coffee or drinks, really great!!! Came to meet friends for coffee which then turned into drinks haha Service was really nice. My first time having drinks there and when we sat at the bar a few ladies down were chatting with our server and leans over and says "he's the best" love how much people loved this place to even lean over and say something. Needless to say, he was, giving us samples of their homemade sangria. They have a cute out door seating are as well

Coffee & wine bar! We were a bit lost in the busy shopping area.. but this place is right next to Starbucks on the corner! Atmosphere is very cozy with indoor and outdoor dining, cute place!! I ordered the wild rose latte, not too sweet with floral fruity notes. Yum!!

We got a latte from here and it was just okay, and not one of our favorites from the coffee shops in the area. The coffee flavor was just off. The customer service was also just okay. I wouldn't come back here. If you are trying to decide on coffee in the area, we really like The Goods and Vinaka Cafe.

Average coffee at best! A cute little coffee shop that doubles as a wine bar at night, but it's the morning roasting of coffee that I experienced. The coffee is light, and seems to lack any boldness that a typical roaster would offer. Just not a recommended coffee stop in my opinion, but very nice wine bar option at night potentially!

Cute place inside of witch creek wineey. They had this drink called cold brew shandy. Its cold brew with lemonde. It is actually really refreshing and dont need mklk or sugar with the drink. Its my new fav drink.

In between a nice glass of wine or coffee/tea options. No worries here, you can get both at one time. Sleeping Tiger Coffee provides, a great hand out environment to a let's get some work done space. You can get a bite to eat, drink of your choice and enjoy some live music. (Friday- Sunday) Restroom is available with a key and a nice outside seating area in a restored greenhouse.

I wouldn't come here again . the inside is decorative and yes there is a lot to see . The coffee was nothing special. It was all so basic . Hot Mocha was horrid . It is in a great location, great imagery of the art of the tigers on the side of the building but I personally did not feel it was a welcoming environment . This girl literally looked me up & down before she took my order.

Really unique spot! The batista was super sweet giving us all the info on the place. They have live music Thursday-Sunday which is something I definitely want to check out! Great coffee selection and wine tasting.

    Cappuccino

The barista made the best cappuccino! It's hard to find someone that actually makes traditional coffee drinks, but she nailed it!

    Chai latte w oat milk.

Expensive. Atmosphere is very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Beans smell delicious but that doesn't justify the ludicrous prices.

Excellent cup of joe! Really good grind. The best thing is they're actually open, unlike the other coffee franchise a couple of doors down.

I was a little confused when Waze led me to an office parking area where I spotted an umbrella and what looked like a coffee stand. Undeterred, I parked and ventured over. It was the most unique, unusual and memorable coffee experience I've ever had. This place is for true coffee and espresso aficionados. The man working the kiosk referred to the place as a wine bar for coffee as the coffee is prepared, discussed and poured the same way fine wine is. If you love Starbucks, do not go here! If you love thoughtfully and artfully well prepared single Origen coffee, this place should not be missed. Ideally, the coffee should be ordered, prepared and consumed without dairy products so that you truly taste, experience and enjoy all the flavors. Ideally, it would be best to purchase a pour over, and they have a menu dedicated to them. It should be on every coffee and espresso addicts must go to list. I highly recommend it and I'm excited to enjoy the beans I bought at home.

The lattes were wonderful. Smooth and tasty. The Lil Dippers (mini burritos) were pretty substantial and the plain bagel surprisingly was the best we've ever had at any coffee place. SO good! Great taste and perfect texture. It was unfortunate though that the cream cheese cup that comes with it didn't suffice. It wasn't at all enough for a good ratio. My friend and I came in today with our three infants, thinking we'd enjoy a nice morning and support a local spot. Big mistake. We dropped over $30 on a sad panini, bland avocado toast, and a forgettable coffee. For those prices, you'd hope for decent food -- or at the very least, air conditioning. Instead, we got a sweltering room full of flies. Nothing says "artisanal café" quite like batting away bugs while sweating through your latte. But the real masterpiece was the customer service. As we were leaving, I asked if we could get a few ounces of milk to top up my baby's bottle. You'd think I'd asked for liquid gold. The baristas looked like I'd just broken a company policy they made up five minutes ago and scurried off to find their manager. Enter the manager -- who must have a PhD in Missing the Point. She told me they "sell 10oz kids cups" (how helpful!) even after I said we just needed a few ounces. Then she proudly returned with *a condiment container* of milk, like she was performing some grand act of generosity. When I asked for it in a cup, she declared, "This is a business. I can't give any more because I buy the milk." Iconic. Truly. Nothing screams good business sense like nickel-and-diming moms over a few ounces of milk after they've already paid thirty bucks. Honestly, if you're looking for overpriced food, sauna-like temperatures, and management that treats milk like it's a controlled substance -- this is your place. As for me, I'll take my money somewhere that remembers what customer service and common sense look like. Ascend Roasters has officially descended to the bottom of my list.
