Luckily, we weren't in a hurry...but we were getting hungry. LOL! I would try it again because I love the scenery and design.

Nakoma Resort is a beautiful property, and this was not my first stay here. The setting,…read morefacilities, and overall atmosphere are wonderful, which is why my recent experience was so disappointing. We arrived at night during a power outage. There were no lights available in the building, including no visible emergency lighting, and the elevators were not working. Our room was originally on the second floor, but because I have knee problems and cannot easily use stairs, the night staff member was very kind and helped us by finding a room on the ground floor. I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to help during a difficult situation. What left a negative impression was the interaction at checkout the next morning. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the power outage, I felt as though we were expected to be grateful for being placed in a different room because it happened to be one of the resort's nicer accommodations. To be clear, the room change was necessary because of the resort's power issue, not a special favor. While the property itself remains beautiful, the lack of emergency lighting and the response from the front desk the following morning raise concerns about both guest safety and customer service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I'm not sure I would choose to stay here again. If this was other hotel chain I will be even refunded because the inconveniences!!

John and Jamie were incredible hosts. They shared with us that the resort is under new ownership and told us about some of the improvements they have already made. For our first time being there, it was the perfect getaway and exactly what we needed. The cabin was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. It had multiple TVs, including one in the dining/living area and one in the bedroom, a full kitchen, and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Anything we needed, John and Jamie were there to help and made sure we had a great experience. Our weekend getaway was peaceful, relaxing, and a great time away from home. We are already planning to go back in the next couple of months and hope to make it a regular trip for us. I highly recommend Lake Davis Resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and updated with simple furnishings that provided everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The beautiful pictures of animals on the walls complemented the natural surroundings and gave the room a warm, welcoming feel that fit perfectly with the peaceful outdoor setting. We checked in at 4:00 p.m., and John made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He answered all of our questions and gave us a great introduction to the resort and the area. The resort is easy to access and located in a quiet neighborhood where we felt completely safe. Communication was excellent, every email and text we sent received a quick response, and Jaime (we didn't get to met her) and John was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful, pet-friendly getaway with outstanding customer service, we highly recommend Lake Davis Resort. We had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to coming back! Thank you Jaime and John for giving us wonderful memories! Ron, Kulina, Koa and Lava!

As a Type A over-planner, I was determined not to let that happen. But the moment we arrived at Twenty Mile House, I realized I didn't have to be the control freak I usually am. The TMH team handled every detail with such calm professionalism that I was able to relax and truly enjoy the experience. From the very beginning, we were impressed. Our virtual tour with Rachel made us fall in love with the venue; Kevin and Karen worked with us to make our budget work, Joe gave us a wonderful tour when we returned after booking; and Ashleigh patiently answered all of my questions--no matter how late I sent them. The venue itself feels like something out of a storybook. Every one of our guests raved about the beautiful setting, the accommodations, the incredible staff, the ceremony site, and even the fact that there wasn't a restrictive noise ordinance. Everything exceeded our expectations. Not a day has gone by since our wedding that I haven't said, "I wish I could do it all over again." Choosing Twenty Mile House was one of the best decisions we made, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

A lot of our guests say this is the best wedding they have been to in a long time. I cannot recommend the venue enough!:)
